"What? A Poison King Lizard? Is it that strong?!" Ye Tian asked Lin Ling, his face filled with confusion. However, just from the big guy's appearance, he could tell it was a formidable opponent.
"It's definitely a very powerful Demon Beast. This Poison King Lizard is covered in poison, and it's a Tier Four Demon Beast. Its Attack Power is naturally imnse, and with that deadly poison, it's really hard to fight. With my current strength, it would be very difficult to kill it," Lin Ling said very seriously.
Ye Tian naturally understood what Lin Ling ant. The cave wasn't very large, making it impossible to move freely. Killing a Tier Four Demon Beast was already difficult enough, but one covered in deadly poison was even more trouble.
"Then what do we do? We can't just go outside now, right? You know there are hundreds of Thunder Crows waiting for us out there. Going out is certain death," Ye Tian said.
This had truly beco a situation where they were trapped between a rock and a hard place. Only by killing the Poison King Lizard could they slowly deal with the Thunder Crows. The crows couldn't all rush into the cave at once, so they could kill them one by one as they entered. This seed to be the only way.
"Ye Lin, do you have a way to kill that thing?" Ye Tian asked the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python. At the mont, their only hope rested on it.
"Boss, it's a tricky one, but it shouldn't be too much of a problem. I'm confident I can kill it, but it'll take so ti," the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python said.
Ye Tian and Lin Ling were delighted to hear that the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python could kill the Poison King Lizard. "Alright, I'll leave this guy to you. Lin Ling and I will guard the cave entrance to keep the Thunder Crows from flying in!" Ye Tian said.
"Excellent. Just sit back and enjoy the show, Boss! This Poison King Lizard may be entirely poisonous, but when it cos to poison, it's nothing compared to . My poison is one of the deadliest in the world. I could even just poison this guy to death," the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python said.
Ye Tian nodded and quickly moved to the mouth of the cave with Lin Ling. Peeking outside, they saw the Thunder Crows were all circling in the sky, but not a single one swooped down. Perhaps they were wary of the Poison King Lizard inside the cave.
It was for the best that they hadn't charged in. If several Thunder Crows ca in at once, Ye Tian and Lin Ling would have their hands full. Every mont they could stall was a mont gained.
Just then, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python flew in front of the Poison King Lizard, and a burst of Primordial Qi erupted from its body. This was a form of bloodline suppression; so Demon Beasts with weaker bloodlines would submit imdiately. If the Poison King Lizard could also be made to submit, there would be no need to fight.
The Poison King Lizard was about the sa size as a Gale Wolf, but its entire body was covered in scales. A green, viscous liquid coated the scales—this had to be its venom, the very thing that made so many Demon Beasts fear it.
Its four limbs were massive, looking imnsely powerful. It flicked its red tongue in and out of its mouth from ti to ti, its appearance utterly terrifying. Anyone with a weak heart would be scared half to death upon seeing it.
At this mont, the Poison King Lizard's huge body was trembling uncontrollably. It was clearly terrified by the aura emanating from the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python. It let out a few squeaking noises but didn't dare to move recklessly.
Seeing that its bloodline suppression was effective, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python spat out a cloud of black smoke. This smoke was also highly toxic, far more potent than the Poison King Lizard's venom.
Upon seeing the black mist, the Poison King Lizard actually prostrated its entire body on the ground. The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python then let out a few sounds in an unintelligible language, leaving Ye Tian and Lin Ling, who were at the cave entrance, utterly perplexed.
'This guy isn't killing the Poison King Lizard but is making strange noises in the cave instead! That's going to lure the Thunder Crows in!' He knew that Thunder Crows were extrely vengeful. An attack of this scale was clearly organized by that featherless one.
Sure enough, upon hearing the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python's cries, the Thunder Crows in the sky let out a deafening chorus of shrieks. A few of them even flew down, stopping less than three ters from the cave entrance.
Seeing this, Ye Tian imdiately retrieved the Black Glaze Sword from his Storage Ring. If any Thunder Crow dared to enter the cave, he would have to kill it.
"Ye Lin, stop shouting! You almost lured the Thunder Crows in!" Ye Tian said in frustration.
"Don't worry, Boss. This Poison King Lizard is my underling now. In a mont, I'll have it go out and poison a whole flock of those Thunder Crows. The sounds I was making were just communicating with it, so you don't need to worry," the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python said.
Joy instantly appeared on Ye Tian and Lin Ling's faces. 'Strange things happen all the ti, but today takes the cake.' To think they had subdued the Poison King Lizard without even lifting a finger! The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python was truly incredible.
Just then, a Thunder Crow charged toward the cave entrance, launching a Thunder Attack as it ca. Ye Tian and Lin Ling were startled and wanted to dodge, but the entrance was too small, and there was no ti.
The Thunder Power was originally aid at Lin Ling, but Ye Tian darted in front of her and shoved her out of the way.
Naturally, the Thunder Power struck Ye Tian. It instantly sent him convulsing, his hair standing on end and smoking. The sight was quite comical.
Seeing Ye Tian's state, Lin Ling was terrified. She rushed to his side and asked, "Ye Tian, are you alright? Don't you scare ! You promised you'd marry one day, you can't go back on your word!"
As she spoke, Lin Ling's voice was already tinged with tears. Ye Tian's eyes were shut tight, and the Thunder Crow was a Tier Four Flying Bird Demon Beast with the Attack Power of a Four Vein Martial Artist. With Ye Tian's current strength, there was no way he could have withstood it.
The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python also flew to Ye Tian's side. "Boss, are you okay? Which Thunder Crow attacked you? I'll swallow it alive!"
An even more powerful surge of Primordial Qi erupted from the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python, causing the Thunder Crows outside to shriek once more, as if they were terrified of this aura.
