"Ye Tian, could you stop scaring like that? Do you know how dangerous that was?" Lin Ling said.
"Heh heh, I thought I heard soone complaining that I was going to die before I could marry her," Ye Tian teased with a laugh. "But don't worry. I'm too lucky to die that easily. Let the Thunder Crows attack again! I need to absorb more Thunder Power!"
"Ye Tian, are you really going to do this? Look at the state of you! You'd scare anyone who saw you." Now that she knew Ye Tian was safe, Lin Ling's worry gave way to happiness for his ability to absorb Thunder Power.
'To withstand the Attack Power of a Tier Four Demon Beast at the Two Vein Realm... it's completely unheard of. He might really have that one-in-a-million Thunder Attribute constitution. The guy is simply heaven-defying. His talent is terrifying.'
"Of course. I can feel my entire body changing as the Thunder Power enters it. See all this gri on my skin? It must be impurities being expelled from my body! Still, getting hit by this Thunder Power really hurts.
But maybe this Thunder Power can help break through to the Divine Dragon Battle Body Third Layer! When I think about that, a little pain is totally worth it!" Ye Tian said with a grin.
"You're unbelievable! Just... be safe." Lin Ling gave a small smile. 'Being the woman of a man like this,' she thought, 'is truly the greatest blessing.'
'She had been resistant to the idea before, but if Xiao Yaoyao could accept Ye Tian, why couldn't she? Perhaps Xiao Yaoyao had seen long ago that Ye Tian was no ordinary man.'
"Ye Lin, have the Poison King Lizard lure a few Thunder Crows in here. We'll pick them off one by one, and we'll get a ton of Thunder Attribute Magic Crystals," Ye Tian said to the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python.
The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python nodded and flew quickly over to the Poison King Lizard, letting out another stream of incomprehensible sounds from its mouth.
Soon, the Poison King Lizard began to move, slowly crawling out of its hiding spot. As it erged, Ye Tian got a good look at it—the creature was a full five ters long, and its massive tail was ard with three spikes, each over a ter in length.
The Attack Power of its tail was clearly imnse. A single sweep could easily impale soone on those spikes, and the consequences of that were unimaginable.
Ye Tian and Lin Ling quickly moved aside. Only after the massive creature had crawled out of the cave entrance did they both breathe a sigh of relief. They were completely in awe of the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python's abilities.
The mont the Poison King Lizard appeared outside, the Thunder Crows in the sky launched their Thunder Attacks. Several bolts of lightning struck the lizard squarely. Ye Tian clearly saw several pieces of its Scale Armor get blown off as black smoke billowed from its body.
"That's so powerful Thunder Power!" Ye Tian said, a trace of fear still lingering. He had just blocked the Thunder Crow's attack without a second thought. Thinking back on it now, he felt a belated sense of dread.
Lin Ling, however, was deeply moved. 'A man who would risk his own life to protect without a second thought... he's the kind of man I could entrust my entire life to.' At that mont, her feelings for Ye Tian deepened, and she felt a space for him slowly opening up in her heart.
Both were Tier Four Demon Beasts. In a one-on-one fight, the Poison King Lizard might have been able to hold its own against a Thunder Crow. But with so many of them, sending it out there was a suicide mission.
The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python imdiately made a sound. Upon hearing it, the Poison King Lizard scrambled back into the cave. It was struck a few more tis by Thunder Power on its way, leaving a trail of blood on the ground.
Seeing the Poison King Lizard retreat into the cave, the Thunder Crows let out a series of screeches. One of them, bolder than the rest, followed it directly inside.
The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python moved to kill the Thunder Crow, but Ye Tian stopped it. "Ye Lin, guard the entrance. Don't let any more of them in. Let have so fun with this one first. If I can't handle it, you can finish it off," Ye Tian said.
The words had barely left his mouth when Ye Tian blurred into motion, attacking the Thunder Crow. The cave wasn't massive, but it was spacious enough. There was plenty of room to dodge and maneuver—after all, it had to be large enough for the enormous Poison King Lizard to move around in.
He swung the Black Glaze Sword swiftly at the Thunder Crow. Of course, Ye Tian knew he couldn't kill it with this attack; his real goal was to provoke it into using its Thunder Attack on him.
Sure enough, before the Black Glaze Sword could even reach it, the Thunder Crow unleashed a blast of Thunder Power from its beak, aid straight at Ye Tian.
Yet Ye Tian made no move to dodge. He simply spread his arms wide to welco the Thunder Power. To any unknowing observer, he would have looked like a fool, practically committing suicide.
Of course, Lin Ling was still incredibly worried. 'What if him withstanding that last bolt of Thunder Power was just a fluke?' In a flash, she moved to stand in front of Ye Tian.
The blast of Thunder Power knocked Ye Tian back three ters before he managed to stabilize himself. A closer look would reveal that several of his muscles had been torn open, but within the wounds, arcs of lightning glittered.
Ye Tian's brow was furrowed, and his face wore a strange expression—a mixture of pain and elation.
"Ye Tian, how are you? Can you please stop doing such foolish things? You make so worried! Don't you have a responsibility to ?" Lin Ling cried out.
After a few breaths, Ye Tian opened his eyes. He glanced at Lin Ling and chuckled. "You're my woman, so of course I have to be responsible for you. But don't worry about . I'm really fine. Right now, it just feels... good."
Lin Ling was at a loss for words. Faced with such a bizarre man, all she could do was silently pray for his breakthrough. She retreated to the cave entrance to fend off any other Thunder Crows that might try to enter, making sure to keep a wide berth from the Poison King Lizard.
Ye Tian knew he had to keep enraging the Thunder Crow to make it attack him with its Thunder Power. He drew his Black Glaze Sword again and unleashed a slash. A powerful wave of Sword Qi shot out, causing the entire cave to tremble violently.
Loose rocks rained down from the ceiling. The sight startled Ye Tian. 'I can't attack so recklessly,' he thought. 'If I make the cave collapse and bury us all alive, it won't be worth it.'
Fortunately, the tremors subsided after a mont. The Thunder Crow, however, seed to have been thoroughly enraged by Ye Tian's attack. It spat out another blast of Thunder Power straight at him.
