Seeing this, Ye Tian was instantly enraged. It turned out the Profound Ice Pearl hadn't detected him at all; it had stopped absorbing the moonlight because of the strange fish in the water.
Perhaps because its absorption of the moonlight had been abruptly interrupted by the strange fish's appearance, it suffered an energy backlash, which was why the fish had been able to capture it so easily.
Having sothing he was about to obtain snatched away by that strange fish was sothing Ye Tian could not tolerate. This was a complete show of disrespect.
Ye Tian saw the strange white fish, and so did the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python and the Snake King. Ye Tian might not know what it was, but as Demon Beasts, they knew it very well.
"Be careful, sir! That's a Beiming Li Fish! They're incredibly terrifying. I can't believe one is here. Don't do anything rash!" the Snake King shouted urgently to Ye Tian.
'Beiming Li Fish? What kind of fish is that?' Ye Tian muttered to himself. 'But anything that can swallow the Profound Ice Pearl in one gulp must be extraordinary. It might even be a Tier Five Demon Beast.'
But even if it was a Tier Five Demon Beast, Ye Tian wasn't afraid. The creature had stolen his prize, and he couldn't let it get away with it. It had to pay the price, or all his hard work would have been for nothing.
Without any hesitation, the Black Glaze Sword appeared in Ye Tian's hand. He unleashed a strike at the strange white fish, and a powerful wave of Sword Qi shot toward it in an instant.
The strange fish had noticed Ye Tian from a distance even before it swallowed the Profound Ice Pearl. In its eyes, Ye Tian was nothing more than an ant, not even worth considering.
But now, this ant dared to attack it. This infuriated the fish. To be attacked by just anyone was a complete loss of face.
Its mouth opened, and it spat out a jet of white vapor. In the blink of an eye, the vapor solidified into white Profound Ice—an extrely sharp shard of it, like an Ice Blade stabbing toward Ye Tian.
The Profound Ice ford from the white vapor clashed directly with Ye Tian's Sword Qi, erupting in a series of CRACKLES and POPS. The surrounding space trembled violently.
The most dramatic reaction was from the river itself. The bone-chilling water began to roil as if it were boiling.
Ye Tian saw the Profound Ice shard slowly shrink under his attack, until a piece about half a foot long broke through his Sword Qi and shot toward him like a teor.
Faced with such an attack, Ye Tian naturally wasn't going to test how strong his Defense Power was. His body flickered, and he hastily dodged to the side.
However, moving quickly while standing in a river proved sowhat difficult. Still, he managed to dodge at the last possible second. The shard of Profound Ice grazed his clothes and shot into the distance. It was an incredibly close call.
Ye Tian's Sword Qi, however, had failed to strike the strange white fish. It seed the creature was protected by a strange Barrier that had blocked his powerful attack.
"Snake King! Ye Lin! Stop that thing! Don't let it escape, or it'll get away with the Profound Ice Pearl!" Ye Tian shouted to the Snake King and the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python on the shore.
As soon as his voice fell, the Snake King shot into the sky. Though in his human form, his Tier Five strength ant he had long mastered the ability to fly by borrowing the Power of Heaven and Earth.
anwhile, the Eight-winged Golden Scale Python reverted to its true, winged form and also took to the air. Both swiftly closed in on the strange white fish and launched their attacks at top speed.
The Snake King wielded his Snake Bone Sword, its blade emitting a powerful Sword Qi attack. The Eight-winged Golden Scale Python unleashed its purple Thunder Power. Its Thunder Power was even stronger now, radiating a destructive aura as it was released.
Seeing his two companions attack the strange white fish, Ye Tian felt his heart settle. With their power, they should be able to kill this strange white fish even if it was a Tier Five Demon Beast.
Just then, the strange white fish suddenly leaped from the river and ca to a stop, hovering directly on the water's surface. Only now could Ye Tian clearly see its true appearance.
Its body was covered in white scales, but a few of them had a purple sheen, making them stand out. Perhaps they served a different purpose.
At the end of its tail was a long, sharp spike, similar to a scorpion's stinger. It was surely a deadly weapon.
The scales on the strange white fish suddenly emitted a dazzling white light. The light resembled moonlight as it spread out in all directions.
Then, a phenonon occurred that left Ye Tian almost speechless with astonishnt. The light acted like an intensely cold current, expanding outward.
The river water began to rapidly freeze into Profound Ice. In the blink of an eye, the river's surface for dozens of ters around turned to solid Profound Ice. Just how terrifyingly cold must it be to achieve sothing like that?
And at that mont, Ye Tian was frozen in Profound Ice as well. His entire body was once again encased, much to his imnse frustration.
One had to realize, this attack from the white fish—the Beiming Li Fish—wasn't even aid at him, yet its Attack Power was this terrifying. How much stronger, then, was the attack aid at the Snake King and Ye Lin?
