The mont Xiao Wenjie finished speaking, the entire Martial Arts Training Ground erupted into an uproar! A mix of excitent, fear, and eagerness played across the students' faces.
Just then, all the academy instructors took out many small white bags from their Storage Rings and began distributing one to each student. These were the Container Bags, which had apparently been prepared well in advance.
The entire process took about the ti it takes for an incense stick to burn. Ye Tian examined his Container Bag closely and found it was made from a material he couldn't identify. While not particularly precious, it was still quite good—certainly much better than the pockets on his clothes.
"Now that you all have your Container Bags, please infuse them with your Spiritual Power. You can only use them after doing so!" Xiao Wenjie shouted to the crowd, his voice rising above the loud buzz of discussion.
The students imdiately infused their Spiritual Power into the bags. As the Spiritual Power flowed in, each Container Bag emitted a dazzling white light. For a mont, a brilliant radiance filled the entire Martial Arts Training Ground, so bright that no one could keep their eyes open.
A mont later, the light subsided. Everyone stared at the Container Bags in their hands, finding them a bit incredible.
Many students at Linyuan Academy owned Storage Belts, and a select few even had Storage Rings, so they were quite familiar with the properties of Spatial Containers. However, these Container Bags were unique. To their surprise, they could only be used by the owner; no one else could access them.
"Now that you all have your Container Bags, our field activity officially begins," Xiao Wenjie announced. "Let emphasize again: murder and robbery are strictly forbidden. Do not deliberately bully others. I wish you all the best of luck, and may you all return safely."
After he spoke, Guan Tianshui, who stood beside him, began weaving intricate hand signs. Everyone could clearly feel the fluctuations of Energy gathering in his hands. They found it strange and didn't understand why he was doing this now.
After a few breaths, a massive Teleportation Gate materialized before them. "This Teleportation Gate can transport over a thousand people at once, aning we can send an entire grade of students through in one go," Guan Tianshui explained. "However, the destination points are all different, so any of you planning to team up from the start can forget about it."
"Of course, once you're in the Demon Beast Region, you may randomly encounter all sorts of ferocious Demon Beasts, or you might run into your friends. Teaming up then to slay Demon Beasts will be a truly exhilarating experience. This is a world where the strong are revered, and you all understand the law of the jungle: the weak are prey for the strong."
"Whether or not you return from the Demon Beast Region alive will depend on your performance. We will now begin teleporting, starting with the Advanced Class. Rember the tier of the Demon Beasts you slay. You must check every Demon Beast for a Magic Crystal. If any Advanced Class student is found with five or more Magic Crystals from Tier Two Demon Beasts, they will be disqualified from the competition, regardless of how many High-Tier Demon Beast Magic Crystals they've acquired."
"Low-Tier Demon Beasts are ant for the Basic Level students to hunt. I expect you all to rember that. Of course, if a Basic Level student happens to run into a High-Tier Demon Beast... well, that just ans their luck has run out. Ultimately, this field activity is most dangerous for the Basic Level students."
"Enough talk. Advanced Class, prepare for teleportation!" Guan Tianshui declared with a stern expression.
The other instructors took their positions before the Teleportation Gate, rapidly channeling their Spiritual Power into it. As the power flowed continuously, a massive do of light materialized directly over the heads of the Advanced Class students.
"Rise!" Guan Tianshui commanded. The do of light instantly flared with a blinding radiance. After a faint tremor, all the Advanced Class students vanished from the Martial Arts Training Ground. It went without saying that they had been teleported to the Demon Beast Region.
The Interdiate Class students were next, and they too quickly departed through the miraculous Teleportation Gate. Once the Basic Level students had gone as well, the entire process had taken less than the ti it takes for half an incense stick to burn.
Now, only the academy's instructors remained on the vast Martial Arts Training Ground. Xiao Wenjie glanced at the group and said, "This field activity is different from previous years. With students from all three levels participating together, the Advanced Class students will surely dominate the Demon Beast hunt. The Basic Level students will have very few beasts they can handle."
"However, if they happen to encounter a stray High-Tier Demon Beast, they will be in grave danger. This activity is actually quite unfair to the Basic Level students. Does anyone have a good solution for this?"
The instructors fell into deep thought. After a mont, a middle-aged male instructor spoke up. "Dean, should we enter the Demon Beast Region as well? We could make protecting the Basic Level students our priority. That would reduce unnecessary casualties."
"I've considered that approach," Xiao Wenjie replied, "but it's not practical. The very purpose of this field activity is to train the students' ability to react to danger and to survive in a harsh, natural environnt. If we deliberately protect them, the entire exercise loses its aning."
"Every field activity sees students injured, and so are even killed by Demon Beasts. But by the sa token, many students unlock their latent potential in the face of danger, causing their strength to advance by leaps and bounds."
"Opportunity and danger coexist. We can't disrupt that balance. What I'm actually proposing is, can we adjust the requirents for this competition? For instance, we could create a more distinct difference in the Magic Crystal quotas for the Advanced and Basic Classes."
"Only then can we ensure fairness. After all, the Advanced Class students face little danger in the Ordinary and Middle-Level Regions, whereas the Basic Level students are constantly facing the threat of death and are under far more psychological pressure. What do you all think?" Xiao Wenjie asked.
"Dean, how do you propose we structure the rewards, then? What difference in the number of Magic Crystals among the Basic, Interdiate, and Advanced classes would be considered fair? Keep in mind, the Advanced and Interdiate students are expected to slay Demon Beasts of a similar strength to their own, while the Basic Level students will likely only be killing Tier One Demon Beasts."
"In terms of danger and difficulty, their task is far easier. And while they risk encountering High-Tier Demon Beasts, it's also possible for them to escape. Therefore, I believe we should still judge the final results based on the actual number of Magic Crystals each student obtains."
"There is one exception, however," an Advanced Class instructor said. "If a Basic Level student manages to obtain a Magic Crystal from a Tier Three or even a Tier Four Demon Beast, then that one crystal must be counted as ten, or perhaps even more, for the purpose of comparison. Such an opportunity is practically nonexistent, but we can't rule out the possibility of a Heaven-defying student. That Ye Tian, for instance, might just be capable of it."
By now, Ye Tian was a figure known to every student in the academy, and the instructors knew him especially well. He had appeared before everyone that ti the Murong, Sima, and Ouyang Families ca to the academy demanding retribution.
He was the one who had scared off the Ouyang Family from the Imperial City. His identity was a complete mystery, and his background was clearly imnse…
