Ye Feifei and Qin Xiaowan were bewildered to see Ye Lin sitting right in front of them. They didn't understand why she was here. The scene that had just unfolded was still vivid in their minds, and they hadn't yet had ti to process it all. Ye Lin's sudden appearance only added to their confusion.
"You two are awake," Ye Lin said to them. "What on earth happened just now? It felt like a terrifying battle took place."
"Ye Lin, why are you here?" Ye Feifei asked. "Did Brother Tian co with you? Where is he now?"
She knew that Ye Lin had a Soul Contract with Ye Tian, so if Ye Lin was here, Ye Tian should be as well.
The thought of seeing Ye Tian filled her heart with joy, but Ye Lin's next words made it plumt.
"I ca alone. Big Brother is still a long way from here. He sent to protect you," Ye Lin replied, then asked again, "So, what exactly happened just now?" The two auras that had appeared earlier were incredibly powerful.
The two won exchanged a look. Though their expressions didn't change, they were both disheartened. Neither wanted to show her disappointnt in front of the other.
Ye Feifei scanned their surroundings and said, "We ran into two students from the Three Vein Realm. They tried to… do sothing to and Xiaowan, so we killed them."
"We were lucky to be able to kill them. It was probably so hidden, mysterious power inside us that saved us at the critical mont. Still, its power was truly imnse."
Qin Xiaowan glanced at Ye Feifei. "Feifei, I never would have guessed you have the bloodline of a Fire Phoenix. That's quite a surprise!"
"You were just as surprising. An Ice Dragon bloodline, wasn't it?" Ye Feifei said. "To think we both possess such extraordinary bloodline talents. But who knows when we'll be able to truly awaken them. We can't let anyone else know this secret, or it will surely lead to our deaths."
"Awakening our Bloodline Power won't be easy, but it's not impossible," Qin Xiaowan said. "The higher our Power Realm, the greater the chance of awakening. But compared to a monster like Ye Tian, we're nothing."
"Brother Tian is an exception," Ye Feifei countered. "The Dragon Pearl he obtained must be the War Dragon Pearl. With the most terrifying Dragon Pearl in the world, of course his power will increase faster than ours. But I imagine awakening his Bloodline Power will be even more difficult than it is for us."
Ye Lin watched the two won quietly. 'I can't believe the won around Big Brother have such incredible identities. A Fire Phoenix and an Ice Dragon… if they truly awaken their bloodlines, how terrifying would that be?'
"How are you two feeling? Do you need to rest for a bit?" Ye Lin said with a smile. "I'm here to protect you, so you don't have to be afraid anymore. If you run into any Demon Beasts you can't kill, I can help."
"Thank you, Ye Lin! We'll let you help if we're in real danger," Ye Feifei said. "I doubt we'll be able to summon the Fire Phoenix and Ice Dragon again unless we're truly facing a life-or-death situation."
"This field exercise is ant to be a trial for all of us, so if you're going to protect us, please do it from the shadows. We'll still kill the Demon Beasts we need to. But with you nearby, we won't have to fear anything else."
"Exactly," Qin Xiaowan agreed. "But we really do need to recover. Right now, I feel completely drained, like my body is about to fall apart. Please stand guard for us."
The two won imdiately began to recover. Ye Lin, anwhile, extended her Divine Sense, scanning the area for miles around. After a while, she confird everything was normal and relaxed.
With Ye Lin protecting Ye Feifei and Qin Xiaowan, they were naturally out of trouble. Zhang Xinlan, however, had just run into so.
After entering the Demon Beast Region, Zhang Xinlan had ended up in a location opposite to Ye Tian. With her power, killing Demon Beasts was child's play, but she had no desire to do so. The rewards from Linyuan Academy were trivial to her; in fact, she looked down on them.
Anything she could casually pull from her Storage Ring was better than the rewards. She had only co to Linyuan Academy for Ye Tian, and to cure the hidden affliction plaguing her body.

"Well, hello there, beautiful. We et again," the student said upon seeing Zhang Xinlan, a lecherous grin spreading across his face. "It must be fate. Why don't you stick with us? We can protect you!"
Zhang Xinlan had no intention of dignifying them with a response, as they were utterly beneath her notice. But when she saw the filthy lust in their eyes, she decided to teach them a lesson.
"I don't need your protection. The best way you can protect is by leaving," Zhang Xinlan said coolly, her stunning face devoid of any expression.
"Who is this girl? She's gorgeous—even more beautiful than Luo Lingjuan, the prettiest girl in the Advanced Class. When did you ever see her?" one of the other students asked.
"She's a student from the Basic Level, probably the most beautiful one there. Her na is Zhang Xinlan," the first student said. "Brother Tianhai has been lusting after her for a long ti. If we can bring her to him this ti, he'll reward us handsoly!"
"Good idea! There's no one else around anyway. Let's grab her first and figure out the rest later! Then you can send a ssage to Brother Tianhai. I'm sure he'll be thrilled to see this girl," another student added.
Hearing their words, Zhang Xinlan's brow furrowed slightly. She spoke slowly, "You'd best leave this place. Otherwise, your next mont may be your last."
"Did you hear that? She said she's going to make this our last mont. I heard that right, didn't I?" the student scoffed. "Did we scare her stupid? Why else would she say sothing so ridiculous?"
Zhang Xinlan didn't want to waste any more ti. All she wanted was to be with Ye Tian. Back when she was at the Holy Land, she had been overjoyed to hear Elder Qing and Zhang Fengyu say that they had found the Young Master of the Shen Li Palace.
