The golden Sword Aura swiftly struck the invisible Barrier. A powerful rebound force imdiately erupted. Ye Tian was prepared; having unleashed Gold Slash, he quickly retreated dozens of steps to lessen the damage he would take from the backlash.
The backlash from one hundred percent of his Attack Power was no joke. Even though Ye Tian was prepared, he was still sent flying several ters by the force, his blood churning as if he had suffered an internal injury.
Just then, Dragon Scales appeared on his body once more, but they were a fraction of a second too late. Otherwise, Ye Tian wouldn't have felt that impact.
'What a powerful backlash,' Ye Tian muttered to himself. 'I wonder if the Barrier has changed at all.' Suppressing the turbulence of his Inner Breath, he quickly returned to the Barrier to inspect it.
After sweeping his Divine Sense over it for a mont, Ye Tian discovered the Barrier had indeed changed. One area had grown much weaker. 'This must be from my last attack,' he thought. 'Since it's working, I'll keep at it. Now that the Dragon Scales are covering my body, I don't have to fear the backlash anymore.'
Ye Tian's right hand had now transford into a Dragon Claw, which felt rather strange. 'After I co out of seclusion, I have to sar Ye Feifei's blood on myself. It'll be a huge problem if this happens when I'm outside.'
With a re thought, he swung the Black Glaze Sword. The Golden Sword Qi once again struck the invisible Barrier. This strike's Attack Power was even greater, as a faint resonance had occurred between his Dragon Claw and the Black Glaze Sword, drawing out a fraction of the Divine Sword Attribute.
Of course, the Attack Power would have been even greater if Ye Tian had let his blood flow onto the Black Glaze Sword, but he knew ti was short and there was no need.
BANG! The trendous sound erupted once more. The surrounding lotuses were shattered, their fragnts littering the pond's surface. Ye Tian was again sent flying by the backlash, this ti even farther. The feeling of his blood churning within him was also more intense.
He nearly coughed up a mouthful of blood. 'Even though the Dragon Scales are protecting ,' Ye Tian knew, 'the Attack Power from the Dragon Claw is much stronger. My Defense Power went up, but so did my Attack Power. This kind of result is to be expected.'
In a flash, he left an afterimage and reappeared before the Barrier. Ye Tian continued to inspect its condition. This ti, he saw several cracks spiderwebbing across its surface. 'This is great! It ans I'm about to break through.'
Striking while the iron was hot, Ye Tian unleashed Gold Slash again. The result was the sa: he was blasted back dozens of ters. This ti, however, he found himself bleeding from the gaps between his Dragon Scales. 'I never thought my Attack Power could beco this strong.'
'At this rate, I wouldn't even be afraid of a Five Veins master. I might even be able to slay them. And if I used my War Dragon Heavenly Arm, killing them would be a certainty.'
The churning in his chest grew even more violent. He knew he had suffered a severe internal injury this ti. 'Once I break this Barrier, I'll need to focus on recovery. Leaving any hidden injuries would be disastrous.'
He could no longer hold back the blood rising in his throat and spat it directly onto the blade of the Black Glaze Sword. 'It's not enough for the sword to fully absorb, but it's better than nothing. Maybe combined with the Dragon Claw, it can draw out a little more of the Divine Sword's power.'
Ye Tian's face was pale. Anyone else would have given up by now; it was nothing but self-inflicted tornt. But to him, it was worth it.
Returning to the Barrier, Ye Tian scanned it with his Divine Sense. He found that one area was now covered in a spiderweb of cracks. 'Maybe one or two more attacks will be enough to break it.' The light of victory was just ahead, and a thrill of excitent surged within him.
Though his injuries were serious, victory was in sight. Ye Tian didn't hesitate for a mont. He aid the Black Glaze Sword at the spiderweb of cracks and struck. He was certain he could break the Barrier this ti, because the Black Glaze Sword itself was now trembling violently, almost tearing free from his grasp.
Ye Tian swung his sword again. This strike was unlike any before. To his astonishnt, a trendous Dragon's Roar erupted from within the Black Glaze Sword, and the Golden Sword Qi transford into a massive golden dragon that charged at the invisible Barrier.
Ye Tian instinctively retreated several steps, as the backlash was never pleasant. But this ti, it never ca. The golden dragon had actually shattered the Barrier, leaving an opening large enough for a person to pass through.
A look of joy lit up Ye Tian's face. He hurried to the opening in the Barrier and felt a cool, refreshing vapor wash over him, instantly soothing his mind and spirit.
'This is Immortal Qi,' Ye Tian knew with certainty. 'And it's incredibly dense. The effects of absorbing this would be amazing.' He had to fight the urge to start absorbing it right away, afraid the Barrier might seal itself shut again.
Ye Tian quickly stepped through the Barrier. Once inside, it was as if he had entered another world. Lotuses were everywhere, blooming in a vast array of colors. There were even a great number of three, four, and five-colored lotuses.
Ye Tian felt as if he had fallen into a world of lotuses. As far as the eye could see, lotuses stretched for miles in every direction. The pond itself seed boundless, and the Immortal Qi within it was terrifyingly dense. 'If I were to practice my Cultivation here,' he believed, 'it wouldn't take long at all to break through to the Five Veins.'
Though excited, Ye Tian didn't forget his mission. He released his Divine Sense, carefully searching for the Seven-Colored Golden Lotus. Only by obtaining the Golden Lotus would he pass this trial. He also knew that once he took the Golden Lotus, all the dense Immortal Qi here would vanish.
He couldn't have his cake and eat it too, so he had to choose his mission. After searching for a long while, he finally spotted it. It was just a little different from what he'd imagined.
The Seven-Colored Golden Lotus was only half as tall as the other lotuses and much smaller overall. However, a seven-colored halo enveloped it, giving it such a sacred aura that one felt reluctant to pluck it.
Ye Tian slowly approached the Seven-Colored Golden Lotus. He saw that it had three blossoms and a single lotus pod. The pod held nurous Lotus Seeds, each a different color. Up close, he could clearly feel potent waves of Immortal Qi and Energy.
Ye Tian slowly cald his racing heart, drew his Black Glaze Sword, and swung it at one of the seven-colored blossoms. The cut was clean. The Seven-Colored Golden Lotus stem snapped and it fell right into his hand.
The mont the Seven-Colored Golden Lotus landed in Ye Tian's hand, it burst with a seven-colored light so brilliant he couldn't keep his eyes open. It then transford, changing into a seven-colored lotus pod covered in many Lotus Seeds.
Ye Tian rembered the mysterious voice saying that these Lotus Seeds were incredibly precious. Now that he had them, he put them into his Storage Ring without a second thought and then swung his sword at another seven-colored blossom…
