Yang Chan had tested it. The Dragon’s Tooth Short Sword was incredibly sharp, and the special Spiritual Power imbued within it made the weapon even more mystical. By using his own Spiritual Power to forcibly conceal its presence, it would be exceptionally effective for sneak attacks.
A sudden strike wouldn’t just inflict physical damage, but also harm one’s Spiritual Power. Against a Martial Arts Expert, it could even stop them from forming a Martial Seal, preventing them from using their powerful techniques at all. It was truly a weapon of forced interruption.
Yang Chan wasn’t sure if this special weapon qualified as a Treasure Weapon, but now that he was in Taiyin Heaven, it was another ans of self-defense.
The Sword Techniques in his mind included thods for using a long sword and a short sword in tandem. Attacking with both would double their power, especially with successive strikes, which could catch an opponent off guard and achieve unexpected results.
For Yang Chan, a quick and decisive battle was key. If he could end a fight quickly, why draw it out?
The longer a battle dragged on, the more likely an accident would occur. A single, fatal blow was the best option. The key was to use all his various ans to achieve that end.
Yang Chan cultivated various defensive techniques for precisely this purpose. If he was no match for an opponent, he would simply flee.
After confirming there was nothing else threatening in the Green Brick Courtyard, Yang Chan found a relatively clean, empty room and planned to rest for a while, as he noticed that the Potential Points on his panel had refreshed.
Because he hadn’t taken all his elixirs, his Daily Potential Point Collection had only reached 5.1. For soone accustod to collecting 8.0 a day, this was practically a fifty percent cut.
’Unexpected complications are the most annoying thing,’ Yang Chan couldn’t help but mutter.
Under normal circumstances, he should have gained a full 8.0 Potential Points, almost 3 points more than he got today.
Furthermore, he didn’t have many elixirs with him—at most, enough for a few days. After that, his collection rate would plumt again.
This would have a huge impact on his cultivation progress.
Previously, at his old rate of progress with the Flood Dragon Demon Breath thod, it would have only taken a few more days to complete the tempering of his fifth Lungs and Spleen. That was the kind of efficient advancent he’d achieved once his Daily Potential Point Collection hit 8.0.
He had been counting on the discovery of a new Secret Realm. With the new Spiritual Materials it would provide, he could have refined new elixirs, boosted his Daily Potential Point Collection again, rapidly advanced his cultivation, and finished tempering all his Lungs and Spleens.
He had it all planned out, but the unexpected arrived without a whisper, catching him completely unprepared.
At this rate, if he continued to allocate points as before, the ti needed to temper his fifth Lungs and Spleen would double. Before, out of eight Potential Points, he would put six into the Flood Dragon Demon Breath thod. Following the sa pattern, he now only had about three points to spare for it.
Therefore, after seeing his refreshed Potential Points, Yang Chan skipped adding points to his Tai Chi Health Cultivation Skill, allocating them to the Flood Dragon Demon Breath thod instead. The rest of his allocation remained unchanged.
His Sword Master profession was tied to his Combat Power. In Taiyin Heaven, continuing to add points would enhance the might of his Sword Montum, which would play a critical role when fighting people or Exotic Beasts.
The stronger his Sword Montum, the easier it would be for him to kill in a single strike, eliminating much unnecessary trouble.
Of course, his cultivation was also key. After all, every ti he finished tempering one of the Lungs and Spleens, his strength would undergo a qualitative leap. He certainly wouldn’t neglect this, which was why he allocated most of his Potential Points to the Flood Dragon Demon Breath thod.
’I have to find a way out of here soon. I can’t stay in Taiyin Heaven any longer.’
’The opportunity related to the National Guardian Martial Saint is tempting, but it’s not worth the risk right now. I should just focus on improving steadily and wait until my cultivation is high enough!’
Yang Chan thought to himself as he gazed out at the gloomy space.
His Daily Potential Point Collection being short by three felt like having half a day’s wages docked for no reason. It was extrely frustrating.
He spent all five Potential Points. His cultivation saw a slight increase, but the effect was far less significant than before.
Illuminated by the indoor campfire, Yang Chan leaned against a wall to rest. Pulling an all-nighter in a strange place wasn’t a good idea; the longer one stayed awake, the more frayed their nerves would beco, and mistakes would be inevitable. Yang Chan knew this well, so he did his best to relax.
He had set simple traps around the Green Brick Courtyard and near the entrance to the house. If he sensed anything amiss, he could react at a mont’s notice. This was one reason Yang Chan could rest with a asure of peace.
The other reason was that he wasn’t in a deep sleep; his mind remained on high alert. If he sensed anything wrong or felt danger, he could react instantly, wake up, and assess the situation.
If he was no match for whatever it was, he would escape through the hidden passage he had found in the room.
The secret passage didn’t lead far—just outside the Green Brick Courtyard—but it would buy him so ti. This made the room a decent temporary resting spot and helped put his mind at ease.
Yang Chan had found a temporary resting place in this strange new space; all things considered, his situation wasn’t too bad.
Compared to Yang Chan, Gu An and his group were in a terrible state. They had been ambushed in the Mist by an unknown Exotic Beast with powerful stealth abilities, and the Direct Disciple in their party had already vanished.
Now, only Gu An and the Inner Refining Elder were left.
"Hall Master, should we keep going in this direction?"
the Inner Refining Elder asked, his voice tinged with uncertainty.
They had lost their bearings upon entering this light-curtain space. After much difficulty, they had confird a general direction, but the attack from the stealthy Exotic Beast had left them disoriented once more. To make matters worse, there was no trace of the Direct Disciple.
The two of them searched for a while before giving up.
In the Mist, sound didn’t travel far anyway. Furthermore, given the nature of the ambush from that Exotic Beast, the Direct Disciple had most likely t a disastrous end.
The reason they assud the worst was that the ambushing Exotic Beast’s Combat Power was comparable to the Peak of Internal Refining of the Lungs and Spleens. On top of that, it was incredibly tough and extrely fast.
Even Gu An had nearly been wounded and was left in a sorry state. The other Inner Refining Elder was bleeding. The Direct Disciple had fled at the first opportunity, but after searching for a long ti with no success, they had to assu the worst.
Under these circumstances, Gu An knew the most important thing was to get out of the Mist.
Staying behind to search was not a good option. If they ran into an even stronger Exotic Beast, they would likely perish in the Mist.
The creature that made the sound they’d heard piercing the Mist earlier was likely even more powerful. Though they hadn’t run into it yet, wandering aimlessly could lead them straight to it. If that happened, their situation would beco even more dire.
Therefore, the two n used the density of the Mist to once again try and determine the way out. They also left behind so markers, hoping they wouldn’t have to use them.
If they didn’t co across the markers again, it would an they were heading in the right direction. If they did, it would an they were walking in circles—decidedly not good news.
