In the blink of an eye, two armies had appeared in this otherwise small demi-plane.
One army was composed of the miniature city’s residents, while the other one was ford from flaming creatures.
The forr had unknowingly turned into puppets, while the latter had been "puppets" from the very start.
These creatures, ford through Reanimation and empowered by Life Infusion, possessed a surprising amount of strength.
Not only did they retain the characteristic of concealing their presence, but they also possessed the strength they had while they were still alive.
Coupled with their unexpected way of appearing and striking from the ground, they easily tore the enemy army apart.
In an instant, hundreds of Lesser Devils had t their demise, killed by the bizarre creatures’ sneak attack.
The puppets’ formation was unexpectedly broken before the war even began.
As a result, it beca even easier for the enemy creatures to kill them.
Under Liora’s instructions, many of them worked together and besieged their enemies.
Before long, these enemies were also torn apart.
Although the puppets reacted quickly and wished to fight back, the Reanimation’s other characteristic, infinite recovery, rendered them unable to achieve their goal.
Even when the flaming creatures were destroyed, the Devil Runes making up their bodies would quickly be rearranged, bringing them back to "life".
Considering all these advantages, it didn’t take long for the war’s outco to be decided.
The sound of threads snapping could be heard from ti to ti, each signifying the death of one of the puppets.
Within seconds, thousands of snapping sounds had echoed.
On the other hand, Liora’s army of Reanimated creatures had not changed at all.
"Competing with in a battle of numbers is utterly aningless."
"I might have been cautious if you were to really fight against . But this...", Liora shook her head and taunted, her hands clasped behind her back.
Though she did not say to whom her words were addressed, it was abundantly clear. After all, there was only one other sentient creature in this demi-plane.
That’s right.
By now, Liora had already regarded the six True Devils and the owner of the claw as the sa person. Or at the very least, part of the sa person.
The other party did not respond.
The six people, five True Devils and one claw, seed to have their own way of communicating. They were able to exchange information in an instant.
A solemn expression flashed across the Devils’ faces as they spoke.
Then, as if they had made a certain decision, they slamd their hands onto the city’s walls.
The city shook before a tiny object was thrown out. Just like the residents before it, the object also grew bigger as it left.
At first, it was a tiny black light.
But as it landed on the ground, the object’s true appearance was revealed.
It was a pitch-black coffin.
It didn’t possess any extraordinary characteristics, nor did it emanate any powerful aura.
Yet, the mont it landed, this unassuming item seed to have beco the center of the entire demi-plane.
Liora’s eyes were instantly attracted to it, while even the two fighting armies paused for a brief second, as if impacted by the coffin’s re existence.
The only people who showed no surprise were the five True Devils.
As they watched the black coffin land, they instantly flashed beside it.
The Slave Lord in particular reached down, gently knocking on its upper lid with her index finger.
Her knock was gentle and hesitant, as if she wished to awaken a slumbering creature, but was also instinctively terrified of this.
Despite her hesitation, though, her movents succeeded in awakening the creature inside.
The black coffin trembled before its lid was thrown off, falling to the ground right beside it.
As it did, the slumbering being erged.
Though not right next to it, Liora imdiately captured its appearance.
It was a creature made of wood that seed to have been randomly patched together using all kinds of wood without any care if it actually made sense.
It possessed a humanoid appearance and closely resembled a man, though its overall height was more than ten ters.
Its eyes were closed at first.
However, perhaps sensing Liora’s snooping or perhaps alerted by the Slave Lord’s earlier knock, they soon opened wide.
They were white. Emotionless and lacking any pupils.
As they opened, the unknown creature seed to have finally woken up.
His figure blurred, transforming into an afterimage, before appearing beside the five True Devils.
Though he had just appeared, he instantly understood everything that had occurred.
"Have things reached this point already?"
"Even Greedy has died..."
"What a pity, what a pity...", the unknown Devil muttered, shaking his head in the process.
As he spoke, he didn’t stop his actions.
With a wave of his hand, the miniature city in the distance rushed towards him, settling onto his palm, while with another wave, the puppets fighting the Reanimated creatures returned.
Growing smaller, they entered the city once again. Losing their earlier ferocious aura, they transford into miniature residents and resud their lives.
"It’s been a long ti since I’ve taken a look at the outside world...", Liora, in the distance, heard this person say, as his attention shifted from the miniature city.
His gaze wandered throughout the demi-plane as if he were inspecting it, before it finally landed on her.
"Have you obtained the core of the Fire Elental?", he questioned and shook his head.
"Unfortunately for you, I really need it."
The mont his words fell, Liora noticed that this person’s aura surged.
Just like the True Devils before him, he did not choose to communicate with Liora any further.
Instead, he directly took action, planning to wipe her out.
His demonic aura poured into the miniature city in his hands, causing its walls to shine brightly, as cannons appeared in the city’s walls.
Being part of the city, the cannons were also tiny, like the toys of a young child.
Yet, as they pointed towards her direction, Liora sensed a trace of threat.
She didn’t have ti to think for long.
Thousands of shooting sounds echoed in the demi-plane.
The cannons lit up all at the sa ti and fired in her direction.
The projectiles’ speed was extraordinary. Within monts, the "cannonballs" had arrived before Liora and engulfed her figure.
Soon, she disappeared from the demi-plane.
The shining lights and the barrage of projectiles had completely concealed her figure, making it impossible to check her current state.
However, the unknown Devil had already imagined the outco.
"A True Devil is a True Devil after all. No matter how strong your combat power is, it’s ultimately aningless in front of a Duke...", he comnted casually.
He opened his mouth and was about to speak further when a small orange rune flashed at the center of his forehead.
Its appearance was brief. Only half a mont later, it had vanished.
Yet, such a brief appearance had already made the Devil’s face turn ashen.
He no longer had the desire to show off.
After a slight pause, he took a step forward, wanting to take the Fire Elental’s core from Liora’s remains.
However, the mont the flickering lights were about to go out, and the dust looked ready to settle, a blurry figure shot out.
The unknown Devil had little ti to react. In his eyes, a continuously revolving sphere made of gray substances was reflected.
