Seeing her struggle and her efforts to break free from her shackles, the World Devourer Ancestor intensified their efforts.
At the sa ti, they spoke up and addressed her.
"I didn’t expect that you would be so cautious as to have a clone advance to an Archdevil."
"Indeed, your caution is praiseworthy.", they prefaced before shaking their head.
"Unfortunately, your struggles are aningless. You can’t comprehend my powers, nor do you understand the process of becoming an Archdevil."
"For an ordinary Devil to advance, they indeed have to separate their True Spirit from their bloodline."
"But, that is only the case when the creator of their bloodline is another Archdevil."
"If your bloodline ancestor is an Ancient Devil, you need their permission to do so. Otherwise... Hehehe..."
The World Devourer Ancestor didn’t specify what the outco of such a case would be.
However, judging from their sinister laughter and the current situation, it was abundantly obvious.
Ancient Devils possessed the ability to take action within the space behind the True Spirit Gate. Using the seed representing the bloodline, they could manifest here.
The ability to do this revealed that the World Devourer Ancestor was not a peak Archdevil, as they previously claid, but a being standing at the apex of the Demon World—an Ancient Devil.
The World Devourer Ancestor did not reveal all of this out of the kindness of their heart.
Their voice as they spoke beca ever more terrifying, while their words rang in Liora’s mind, urging her to give up her aningless struggle and stop resisting.
Unlike their previous confrontation in the soul space, the World Devourer Ancestor was able to exert far greater strength here, seemingly a result of their existing within the gray seed.
As a result, unlike before, when Liora could resist, she was now unable to keep herself awake.
In an instant, the eyes of her soul body grew confused, and her struggling body relaxed.
She stopped resisting, making it easier for the World Devourer Ancestor to devour her.
As the tentacles pulsated eerily, Liora’s body beca dimr, and her strength grew increasingly weaker.
Before long, she lost all strength.
Her clenched right hand opened, revealing a golden light hidden inside.
It was the light she had taken out of the fla, the very core of her soul, her True Spirit.

Considering Liora’s current strength, her True Spirit should have instinctively offered so resistance against their advance.
Yet surprisingly, the tentacles easily pierced through its outer layer and swiftly reached its core.
It looked as if they would devour it the very next second, sealing Liora’s fate forever.

They were stunned, as they seed to have realized sothing.
Unexpectedly, Liora did not have only one clone attempt to advance!
Instead, she had two of them!
No wonder they had previously sensed that the True Spirit she was holding was fake!
Only the real body had a True Spirit! A clone didn’t!
Fortunately, the World Devourer Ancestor didn’t stay shocked for long.

"You think you can throw off by doing this?", they said mockingly before the face began to integrate back into the gray seed.
Clearly, the World Devourer Ancestor was ready to "change positions".
As long as they wanted to, they could appear in the True Spirit Gate within Liora’s real body.
But just before their figure dissipated and their power was fully transferred, a look of horror appeared on the World Devourer Ancestor’s face.
Under their stunned gaze, the entire space behind the True Spirit Gate suddenly caught on fire.
From its very edges, the flas quickly spread towards its center and looked ready to engulf both them and Liora’s clone.
Considering their strength, the World Devourer Ancestor should not have been terrified of a re fla.
After all, an Ancient Devil could destroy entire clusters of worlds with a wave of their hand, much less withstand a fla.
Yet, the mont their gaze landed on the flas, the face of the World Devourer Ancestor shook.
"You’re crazy! You dare break a Devil Contract?!"
"Do you think you can survive just because you created a few clones?!"
"Even Ancient Devils will perish under the Demon World’s Punishnt!", the World Devourer Ancestor roared, though they knew that Liora could not hear them.
They finally felt that they had understood Liora’s plan. From the very beginning, she was not planning to survive! Instead, they wanted to take them with her!
The World Devourer Ancestor was desperate and furious, but they had no one to take their fury out on.
Liora? She would surely perish under the punishnt of the Demon World and cease to exist.
The enemies that led them to this point? They were far away.
In the end, the World Devourer Ancestor could only roar powerlessly until the mont the flas engulfed them, and their consciousness was wiped out.
Under the power of the Demon World, a re consciousness of an Ancient Devil could not put up any resistance. As powerlessly as Liora herself, they could only watch themselves perish.
