When Michael saw the search results, he wasn't too surprised.

The more Michael thought about it, the more he realized that spells inscribed in the sea of consciousness functioned like trump cards for both Awakeners and traditional mages.
That said, the main thod of casting magic still involved drawing spell models—commonly known as magic circles—using the caster's mana as fuel, with a little assistance from the surrounding atmospheric mana.

However, even if he did see sothing like laws and was intrigued by it, if he wasn't given more access to more information, he'd never know what it was.

Though they were mostly basic, it was still sothing.
After all, it wasn't only knights or Awakeners in the forum.
There were also mage apprentices and above that needed resources and information.
Though Michael would very much like to start filling up this space with spell models, he wanted to try out the ditation thod to increase his mana pool.
The one the Association had given was a no-attribute ditation technique that, though slow in increasing the mana pool in the sea of consciousness, which in turn strengthened and enlarged it, was a steady way for any mage with any affinity to start with or use.
In the outside world and in the sea of consciousness, both 'Michael' sat in a lotus position and started using the ditation technique.
As Michael sank deeper into ditation, he followed the breathing pattern outlined in the ditation technique.
A slow inhale.
A steady exhale.
Again and again, he repeated the process, allowing his focus to drift entirely into his sea of consciousness.
At first, there was nothing—just the sa darkness and the strangely solid liquid beneath him.

He had just checked his Intelligence stat and saw no difference.
So he decided to cultivate a bit more and see how long it would take before he started seeing the effects.
If it took too long, he'd just switch to attempting to inscribe a spell model in his sea of consciousness.
Whatever it was, he wasn't a traditional mage, after all.

That was what Michael thought.
But what he hadn't expected was that, in the pleasure of drawing mana into his sea of consciousness, he'd lose track of ti.
It wasn't until the sun laid its first grace upon the world, followed by the ding of a notification, that Michael finally pulled himself out of his cultivation state.
