Friday evening was quiet.

A faint orange glow from the setting sun filtered through the curtains, painting the living room in warm light. The house was silent except for the soft ticking of the wall clock.

Noah sat cross-legged on the floor.

His palm was extended forward, fingers slightly spread. His back was straight, breathing slow but focused. The air in front of him shimred faintly as mana gathered at his fingertips.

He was practicing his Ice Creation ability. A thin mist of cold air spread outward.

"Steady..." he muttered under his breath.

Mana flowed from his core, traveling through his arm and into his palm. The temperature in the room dropped slightly. Frost began forming in the air. Tiny white particles condensing together.

At first, it was unstable.

’You can do it!’

The forming structure cracked and dissolved into snow-like flakes that fell onto the floor.

"Tch."

He exhaled slowly and tried again.

This ti, he controlled the output more carefully. Instead of forcing a large amount of mana at once, he released it in layers—gradual and precise.

Ice began to form again. A narrow shape appeared in the air. A blade outline.

He focused harder.

The hilt solidified first, followed by a straight, translucent blade extending outward. The ice glowed faintly blue under the dim light.

Creating small objects was easy. Daggers? Knives? He could form them within seconds, just like he did while fighting. It didn’t even take a second. The previous Noah was used to making them.

To prove it, he flicked his wrist.

In three seconds, a sharp ice dagger materialized in his grip. Smooth, balanced, deadly.

Another flick, and a second knife ford. It was very simple, efficient, and caused minimal strain.

But a full sword? That was different.

The mana consumption increased exponentially. Stability beca harder to maintain. Density required compression.

He needed to make it sharp, give it a perfect shape, and sharpen it to the limit. And this was much harder. To his bad luck, Old Noah had never tried forming a sword.

The only things he used this ability for were forming daggers and huge ice rocks, glacier-like structures with no proper shape. They were easy to make as long as he could provide a good amount of mana.

The half-ford blade in front of him trembled.

Crack.

A fracture ran along its surface.

"No!"

The sword shattered into fragnts before fully stabilizing, dissolving into frost. Noah wiped the sweat from his forehead.

"It’s the density..." he murmured. He finally got an idea of how to make a perfect sword.

In truth, he could create a normal sword. But it wouldn’t be like a real sword. It wouldn’t have the sharpness of a real blade that could cut his enemy. It would just be an ice model of a sword, which he didn’t want. He wanted an ice sword that could cut like a real one.

A weapon wasn’t just shape. It required structural reinforcent. Compressed mana layers within the ice to prevent brittleness.

He closed his eyes briefly and adjusted his approach. This ti, he ford the inner core first.

Instead of creating the full shape outwardly, he condensed mana into a thin rod of highly compressed ice. It was dense and compact.

Then, slowly, he layered additional ice around it. The ice ford over the core.

The temperature dropped further. A thin layer of frost crept across the wooden floor beneath him. His breathing grew heavier.

"Hah... hah..."

Thirty seconds. Then forty. Almost more than a minute passed.

Finally, a complete sword hovered in his hand.

It was longer than the dagger, thicker, with a solid shaft running down the center. The blade shimred with faint frost patterns.

He grabbed it. His palm wrapped around the cold hilt of the sword.

It was cold and solid. He gave it a light swing. The air hissed as the blade cut through it.

A small smile appeared on his face.

"It works." Noah had been working on this for the last few days. Finally, he was able to form it perfectly.

Even while holding it, he could feel the drain. Once ford, it wouldn’t need constant mana supply. But in the end, it was ice. If Noah didn’t provide it constant mana, it would slowly lt away due to the high temperature of the surroundings.

After a few swings, cracks began forming near the edge. He dispelled it.

"That still needs work."

Now, the spear. He stood up slowly.

Creating a spear required even more control. Length, balance, flexibility in the shaft, and sharpness at the tip.

He had been studying spear and sword structures online on his mobile. It actually helped him a lot.

He extended both hands this ti. Mana surged forward.

Ice ford at the center point between his palms and extended outward in two directions. A long shaft began taking shape.

Unlike the sword, the spear needed flexibility in the middle but hardness at the tip.

He concentrated on differential density—less compression in the shaft, extre compression at the spearhead.

The forming weapon trembled violently. Sweat poured down his face now. His shirt clung to his back.

Even though he was using the ice elent, which was cold, it didn’t stop him from sweating.

It was weird even for him. The reason for his sweat was his training at the training center and then the excessive use of mana here. Also, he was not just using mana to generate the weapon. He also needed focus. Using his brain to the fullest.

"Hold..."

The spear lengthened to over six feet. The tip sharpened into a deadly triangular point, glowing faintly.

But just as he finished shaping it, the middle section cracked.

The imbalance in mana flow caused instability. The spear shattered into icy dust.

Noah bent forward slightly, catching his breath.

"That’s why it takes longer..."

Daggers and knives were simple constructs. Swords required layered reinforcent.

Spears required structural engineering. He straightened again.

"I won’t stop here." He tried once more.

This ti, slower. More controlled.

Layer by layer. A minute passed. Then another. Finally, a complete spear ford in his grasp. He stepped back and thrust it forward.

The tip pierced through the air with a sharp whistle. Frost trailed behind the movent.

He spun it once. The shaft held.

There was cracking, but it was not shattering. A grin spread across his face despite the exhaustion.

"Now that’s better. Hehe! It seems I do have talent for this."

He had been training this for a nearly a week now. And finally, he was able to create them.

But his mana reserves were noticeably lower. His core felt warm, slightly strained.

With a thought, he dispersed the spear into glittering frost particles that slowly faded into the air.

The room returned to normal temperature. Noah sat back down on the floor, breathing heavily.

Creating small weapons was easy. Creating durable battlefield weapons? That still required ti... and refinent.

He looked at his open palm.

"If I can reduce the creation ti to a few seconds..."

His eyes sharpened with determination.

"...then I won’t need to carry weapons at all."

Though he understood one thing: creating swords and spears would slowly beco easier as he practiced more.

Over the past few days, Noah had regained more of his mory. He felt like he was watching so kind of movie.

But one thing was for sure.

"This guy was a real scumbag who was enjoying his luxurious life."

Noah was angry and envious of the previous Noah at the sa ti. He clicked his fingers, and very tiny particles of frost slowly fell onto his face. Giving him a cold sensation.

’This is nice.’ He smile widely.

Tomorrow he needs to leave for the academy.
