Axel tilted his head in confusion, but the man kept staring at him. In response, Axel pulled up his hand and showed a ring on his finger.
Jordan’s eyes went to the ring, and he sighed, "Yes, I thought so...." but before the man could finish his sentence, Axel pulled out the ring from his finger, and his charm that was suppressed burst forth like a flood.
Even his presence grew stronger, and Jordan Greaves stared at him in shock. He scanned his senses again and again, but found the sa result: Axel Nomrad was only a 2nd-phase seeker.
As a 4th phase being, he could see much more than anyone else; the passive charm that one exudes is often used as an indicator to perceive how pure an existence is. He asked again just to be sure, "You are an initial-2nd phase correct?"
Axel understood what the powerhouse was thinking as he put the ring back on his finger; his charm was rely a byproduct of his overwhelming power, which surpassed his phase of power. He was like a cup overflowing with water.
And his charm was different from the valkyrie’s, because Sophia’s charm would invoke lust in anyone who was not far above her strength, n or won.
But Axel’s charm leaned more toward reverence and respect. Jordan must have felt he was being subtly affected, thinking that Axel was wearing an artifact; otherwise, given the power difference between them, it would have been impossible.
Axel looked deeply at the branch head and iterated, "I am not hiding my power level, Sir Jordan, and please know this. The nine who survived, not by chance but because we were the only ones who could."
Axel brought out one of his rare grade rune tools, and he gestured for Jordan to take it. The branch head first used his senses to scan the tool, and his eyes imdiately flashed in shock. Then he took the weapon in hand, stood up, diluted his mana to that of a 1st phase being, and poured it into the tool.
The engraved rune shimred in golden light, and the sword caught on bright yellow flas. Jordan stated in shock,
"How can this be? This is a rare grade of Archon tier-1, but...but the power it’s exuding is almost on the level of an epic grade, no, maybe even more? And there is this incredible ease in wielding the fire."
"Compared to this, the so-called masterpieces made by the vex family are trash at best. This is incredible, Axel."
The runecaster stated with a chuckle, "And this is the lowest caliber of the tools you will have from , and I have a thousand of these with right now. If our talks go well, you might have thousands of Epic grades as well. The sa goes for the 2nd-tier tools, but those will take ti since I have only ascended to a 2nd phase recently."
The composure of the 4th-phase powerhouse cracked the mont he heard thousands. Putting the sword down on the table, he wore a solemn expression as he said,
"I want every single piece, Axel. I do not care about the price."
Axel leaned back in the chair and said lazily, "For the rare grades 1000 mana stones of the first tier. For Epic 2000."
Which made Jordan frown, not because Axel asked for a high price, but because it was the opposite. Axel added, "I know of the exorbitant price the Vex family sells the rune tools for because of their monopoly, and that is precisely the reason."
Axel sighed deeply, "Mr. Jordan, you should understand I’m not here simply for the money. You know what situation my family is in."
Jordan nodded, nudging him to continue, "Go on, tell what you want."
Axel leaned forward and stated with a cold smile, "There are a few things I want to achieve." Showing one finger, he continued, "First, I wish to disrupt the market, break the monopoly the Vex family is holding. Starting with the lower-tier weapons."
"Second, I want the Greaves family to make sure that the Duskers cannot pressure my family too much legally. I am not asking you to go against them, but just tie their hands."
"Third, my tools must not be sold directly or indirectly to the Vex or Duskers."
"Fourth, I want to be a VIP custor of the Greaves Comrce."
Jordan’s eyebrows twitched as he said sarcastically, "Anything else? Why don’t I offer my head to you as well?"
But Axel replied, his tone still serious, "Sir Jordan, I know what I am asking for is too much, for just so 1st tier weapons. But we both know this is not about what I am offering right now. But what I hope to offer for the future as I progress further as a Seeker."
He continued, "I can assure you, except for the works of my grandfather, there is no one under the heavens who can match the quality of my Rune-craft."
"Oh, I know that much, Axel. You are Damien Nomrad’s grandson. Your talent is unquestionable. I see it right in front of my eyes after all." Jordan sighed in acceptance.
"But in that case, we must enter an exclusive deal, so that all your crafted rune tools can only be sold to us," he added his own condition.
But Axel shook his head in rejection, "The Vanelis household will hold off the Vex family. Vyra is a good friend of mine. So, I will be selling them so directly. So, amongst my conditions, holding off the Duskers is the only tough condition for the Greaves family."
"And when the war is close, I will be making a deal with the prince as well."
Then Axel smiled and said, "But I can assure you this. I don’t wish to sell my rune weapons directly to any other forces within Suncrest. The Greaves family can take that role."
He paused for a mont, then voiced in gratitude, "Sir Jordan, the Greaves family did not turn their hand away from my family even in the worst tis, which is why I ca here first."
"Otherwise, I don’t think any other forces would decline my deal alongside these conditions. I could also go to the Vanelis’ family, but they are very reclusive and have little influence in the Dusker region. The Greaves family can help much better in this scenario."
Jordan got up from his seat and said, "Co with ."
The Branch Head took him to a specialized store room, filled with valuable goods. Pointing at an empty corner, he asked, "Put all the rune tools there."
With a ntal command, Axel brought out 999 rare-grade Archon tier-1 rune weapons. Most of them were swords; a small number were spears, arrows, bows, and blades.
A humming power spread out from the pile of disorganized weapons, which made the 4th phase powerhouse look at the rune weapons with a feverish gleam, as if he were looking at a treasure chest. Axel’s eyebrows twitched, wondering if he should ask for more. But he decided not to fall prey to his greed.
Jordan extended his hand forward, wearing a pleasant smile. Axel shook his hand and received a notification from Pri.

Jordan then asked him to sit in his office for a minute, as he needed to talk about this with the head of the family before finalizing the deal and drafting the contract. Bringing out a magic scroll, Jordan set it on fire through his mana, and just monts after, the flas transford into the visage of Martin Greaves.
Jordan bowed cordially, "Greetings, Patriarch."
"Stop the theatrics, get to the point. I told you not to bother for a few days, and you don’t give a fuck about my orders," the man said in exasperation to his son.
Jordan chuckled and explained everything in a minute. And the flaming projection of the Greaves family burst out laughing, "Yes, yes, yes, this is very good. I knew keeping a connection with the Nomrad’s would be worth it. My instincts weren’t wrong."
Jordan said, annoyed, "You an my Instincts!!!"
"Whatever, it’s the sa thing," waved the fiery figure dismissively. "This is exactly what we need, with the incoming war, just this would give us an advantage that would be enough to push down the Vex and Duskers both; they have been hampering our operations for a while now in their regions."
"Finalize the deal, keep a good relationship with the boy, no matter what. He offers too much for the future. For now, observe what the boy does; if the situation demands, we will help him directly, as for that arrogant bitch of a Duchess. I know just the things to do to tie her hands. I will handle that."
Jordan also smiled, knowing his father would be over the top about this news, and just with this, he was another step closer to centing his position as the next patriarch. Cutting off the long-distance communication spell, he and the nomrad heir had an extensive conversation, finalizing many detailed nuances of the agreent. The contract was made to last for 5 years.
By placing a drop of each of their bloods on the agreent paper, the contract was in effect. Axel wanted the agreent to be between the Nomrad and the Greaves family, but Jordan disagreed, so the deal could only be finalized between him and the Greaves family.
But he didn’t mind, too many things would happen in that span of ti that this contract would be worthless by then.
As he exited the comrce chamber, seeing the face of a familiar man, he stated in annoyance, "So, you’ve been tailing from the start. Even though I ordered you not to co... Vargas."
The old assassin bowed in apology as always, "Orders of the Patriarch, young master, for I am helpless."
Shaking his head, Axel entered the carriage, and his butler did the sa, heading back towards ho.
