Whosh!!!

Bang!!!!

Mason Vex threw the terrifying two-ter-long spear in his hand at a speed that broke the sound barrier, and its speed further doubled. Crashing into a singular spot on the barrier with a deafening boom...

The world went white from the sheer concentration of energy that erupted from that single point, only a little shy of punching a hole into the space itself.

Booooooooomm!!!!

Crack! crack!!!

Like a ssy spiderweb, cracks started to spread from the point where the spear had hit, and the entire golden barrier started to glow rhythmically, as if fighting against the spreading crack, again with the very sa power that had struck to destroy it.

However, that was no ordinary power that could be converted, because Mason had put a sliver of his world force into this strike, not just pure mana, and that personal world force of another being cannot be forcibly recalibrated by a re pre-programd rune artifact, no matter how powerful it may be.

So, both forces reached a stalemate: the cracks could not spread, and unless they spread further, the barrier would not break.

Mason clenched his fists so hard that the air particles around his hand vibrated and were blown away by the erratic nature of his mana. That spear was one of his most powerful weapons, which used the highest form of energy that a 5th phase Seeker could use, which was the world force.

Even then, how could this barrier not shatter entirely into a million pieces? Was this the reason Daniel Nomrad was so confident? He coldly harrumphed, looking into the defiant eyes of Daniel Nomrad. In the end, he could only resort to one of his trump cards.

The anti-rune elent, he switched his aspect first to that of an arcanist. If he remained in the runic aspect while using the anti-rune elent, he would be the first one to suffer from its adverse effects.

After all, this elent was like the deadliest poison for any runecaster. Bringing out two small marble-shaped artifacts, both of which were filled with the most potent concentration of anti-rune elent, he threw the two on a point where the largest number of cracks had coalesced on the barrier, which also felt the weakest.

The effect of the two anti rune elent bombs was lackluster on the eyes at first glance, but their effects on the deeper level were nothing but terrifying. And the true effects were sothing only a runecaster like him could see clearly.

Unlike the large cracks that had spread through the barrier, due to the spear’s strike.

An infinite number of small invisible cracks began to spread again due to the corrosion of the anti-rune elents. And these cracks spread through the inner pathways of an incalculable number of runes and their connective network.

And eventually....

SHHHHH-CRACK!

A small part of the golden impregnable rune-barrier finally broke with a resounding shatter. Daniel, who was looking from beneath, did not see the intricate process by which this majestic rune barrier broke apart, nor did he understand what those two small artifacts were that could break it.

Even when there were visible, large cracks in the barrier, he did not panic because he knew its true power firsthand. So, for him to see this suddenly break from two dismissible smoke bombs, it was ruefully shocking.

He gritted his teeth and was about to activate another chanism of the mansion, but right then Axel’s voice reached his ears, ’Dad, don’t do it, just wait...’

His expression suddenly turned grim. What the heck was his son playing at? If he did not activate the rest of the chanisms within a fraction of a second, he and everyone else in the mansion would be utterly defenseless. It’s akin to handing over their lives to the enemy with a silver spoon.

But of course, Axel also had his reasons, which he could not explain in detail in this desperate situation.

Mason wore a cold smile and exerted his mighty pressure that of a 5th-phase being. And unlike Duke Allen. The Marquess Mason Vex did not hold back on his pressure.

Bang!! Bang!!

Both Vargas and Daniel were smashed to the ground, in such force that the floor beneath them beca littered with both of their blood. For a fraction of a second, both of the figures blacked out. However, Daniel, in the very next second, regained his consciousness and, still pinned to the ground, blood rushed to his mouth.

Yet due to the overwhelming pressure, he began to choke on his own blood. But through gritted teeth and all his willpower and rage focused onto the world, Daniel, through his own strength, defied the full pressure of the 5th-phase being. Forcing the very world to bend to his wishes, ever so subtly.

From above, Marquess Mason frowned; the existence of a 5th-phase Seeker depended entirely on being able to impose one’s Will on reality, overwriting the natural phenona governed by the World Will.

So, to see this bastard beco almost immune to his pressure just through sheer determination was indeed an unpleasant experience for him.

Well, no matter, in the end, the results remain the sa....

Just as he was about to glide down and begin his ruthless torture.

Shin!!!

Marquess Mason heard a distant sound, sothing was coming... sothing powerful was coming at this direction at a terrifying speed.

At the sa ti, Axel’s hurried voice resounded in Daniel’s ears, ’Dad, do it now.’

Daniel smiled, "With pleasure, Son.."

Accessing the complete rune formation of the entire mansion. He activated another failsafe....

One more barrier ca up, similar to the last ti, but only smaller and stronger. This glowed with a blue light instead of golden.

This all happened in the small instance when Mason was distracted by the incoming sense of Danger that was coming from afar, and even when he witnessed another equally strong barrier unfold all around the Nomrad mansion, he dared not move his focus.

And so it happened: the entire, multiple-kiloter-wide area where the space was sealed began to quake violently. The earth itself shook....

Mason witnessed with his eyes wide open a ginormous fire arrow of devastating power coming towards him that could kill even soone as powerful as him in monts if he was hit with it without proper defenses, and it shattered the entire spatial barrier he had set up as easily as breaking a thin glass.

Even the sound of that space breakage did not reach his ears in ti because the fire arrow was traveling at 3 to 4 tis the speed of sound, and it was coming straight towards his head.

It was so absurdly powerful and fast that there was no ti to dodge the attack; heck, there was barely any ti even to defend himself actively, and as the arrow reached closer and closer to him, the sheer heat radiating from it was vaporizing anything and everything in the surroundings.

Even his own skin felt like it would lt down if this fire ca any closer. A dreadful sensation overca his heart.

In the last millisecond. Every last one of his countless life-saving ergency rune artifacts exploded forth, creating more than 10 strong barriers in nanoseconds’ worth of ti.

AND...

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!

As the red scorching fla arrow reached the outermost layer of his ten barriers, it was akin to a pebble stone thrown on a wet paper.

Every single barrier was torn apart, and the scorching flas swallowed his entire figure. Attempting to burn him away to oblivion. Slowly, as the malevolent flas dissipated, the completely scorched figure of Mason Vex was revealed.

Space fluctuated 50 ters ahead of him, and an older man with fiery red hair and beard was revealed in all his glory; his very existence raised the temperature by a few notches over a kiloter around him. There was an arrogant look to his eyes, and he spoke in a deep voice, filled with undisguised contempt,

"Tsk, Tsk, I really hate you and your trash household, that knows nothing but bullying the weak, and folds like a rat in front of the strong."

"Oh, apologies, most of them are dead now, I mustn’t speak ill of the dead. I suppose..." he corrected himself with a smile that was not a smile.

The injured Marquess could only grit his teeth. In uncontrollable rage, he growled, "Martin Greaves, you dare ddle in my personal matter...."

That’s right, the fiery old man who had severely injured the Marquess was none other than the Patriarch of the Greaves comrce, the father of Jordan Greaves, one of the strongest 5th-phase beings within Suncrest, also known as the Fla Lord.

The subtly smiling expression on Martin Greaves ’ face vanished entirely; his mana turned as violent as a raging volcano. His pressure weighed down on the Marquess like an endless mountain, the old powerhouse iterated in a dark tone,

"You leave your border post with no permission whatsoever, and then, without inspecting properly who exactly it was that attacked your family, using that as an excuse, you, with no evidence, attack another family."

"Do you think this lord is here for your entertainnt...MARQUESS MASON VEX" he roared like a lion whose authority had been stepped upon.
