Just the roar of the fiery old man forced the Marquess back by multiple steps. He was already severely injured by the scorching flas, and the increasing temperature of standing next to the Fla Lord was hurting even more, with a hint of caution in his eyes.
He put a glowing rare pill in his mouth, a dicine that could even nd the serious injuries of a 5th phase being by 50-60%.
His burned body began to heal subtly, but Mason’s eyes did not move from the Greaves patriarch, in fear that this old man would attack him. Even amongst the 5th phase beings, there were vast differences. For example, Martin Greaves was much older than Mason.
He had been in the 5th phase for much longer. So, the Fla Lords’ advantage was obvious.
But Mason wasn’t afraid of him; it was only because he was caught off guard by this old fart. He sneered coldly as his injuries had mostly healed up, "Fla Lord, do you think I’m afraid of you. You think I don’t possess the ans to counter your flas?"
Marquess Mason further expressed, "I repeat, what gives you the right to ddle in this matter. I’m taking my rightful revenge on the Nomrad’s. They are most definitely involved in my family’s attack one way or another. The two suspects have flown right in the direction of this Nomrad mansion through spatial teleport."
But Martin only shook his head in distaste, "Oh, I’m sure you are not afraid of , but the thing is that you should be....But that’s the least of your concerns right now. I’m here on the orders of his majesty. And there are a few things I am here to convey...."
"First, the attack on the Vex family was done by a mber of the ghost race, the very ghost race mbers who are backing the minor kingdoms to go against us, and also orchestrated the academy massacre."
"Second, Chancellor Helen had confird that a long-distance teleportation had been executed from the southmost corner of the Dusker region, and the destination was Ravenspire. aning the perpetrators had already escaped, after the job was done."
"Third, you are to return to your designated border post imdiately."
"Fourth, your actions have put the kingdom’s border security in jeopardy, and you have misused your authority, using a muddy situation to your personal advantage. As such, you will receive a punishnt for it, by his majesty himself, and the specifics of it will be decided later on."
Marquess Mason’s face turned uglier and uglier with each sentence he heard, until he started laughing, "Do you think I will believe any of your nonsense. Sorry, but the Nomrad family will die. I will see how you protect th....."
Squelch!!!!
But before he could even finish the sentence, a deadly and utterly silent concentrated energy blast tore a fist-sized hole through the stomach of the Marquess.
"Arghhh, blurghhhhh, cough, cough...." The Marquess let out a pained scream, followed by vomiting a mouthful of blood.
Even Martin Greaves, who was much stronger than Mason, could not feel this powerful energy blast on his senses until it hit Mason, causing him to feel greatly shocked. But when he looked in the direction from which this blast ca, he was even more flabbergasted.
Upon the runic blue barrier that covered the entire Nomrad mansion, there was a particular section that was swirling like a small energy tornado. From that very spot, this powerful energy blast was fired, which critically injured the Marquess.
The Fla Lord felt a cold sweat run down his back. The concerning thing about that energy blast was not its power, but rather its complete stealth. He looked at the Nomrad mansion in apprehension. What kind of senseless artifact was this thing?
It could conjure multiple barriers that can tank fully powered blows from 5th-phase Seekers, and even has attack formations that can fire utterly undetectable energy blasts—going past all defenses.
Because, in all honesty, even though it may have seed like his Fire arrow had completely overwheld the Marquess Mason, it had not. Martin Greaves did possess the power to defeat Mason Vex, but he could not completely suppress or kill the Vex family Head.
Mason Vex stated through gritted teeth, barely managing to close the wound through a priceless one-ti use healing artifact, "NOMRAD..."
Just as he was preparing a devastating attack at the cost of worsening his own injury, the space rippled again, and another figure walked out, unlike the Fla Lord, who had a fiery entrance through his destructive power.
This new powerhouse’s presence was utterly calm; his existence was like a silent weight. The very color of the entire area seed to change the mont this figure revealed himself.
The expression of Marquess Mason shifted instantly; there was deeply hidden panic in his eyes, as well as a lot of caution in his every minor movent. Even against the Fla Lord, Mason did not experience such a rich spectrum of emotions.
Because, unlike Martin Greaves destructive power, this man here was much, much more threatening, one of the deadliest 5th phase powerhouses, and his long-ti adversary, the Greatest Alchemist of Suncrest, Simon Vanelis. The father of Vyra Vanelis, whose dicine could even bring back soone who was on the brink of death to complete health.
But he had another identity, known only to 5th-phase powerhouses, that this man could take others’ lives with even greater ease than he could give them health; he was unanimously dubbed the Poison Lord.
Simon spoke dryly, almost as if this entire situation was of no concern to him, "Let’s stop this farce, Mason. I doubt you want to disobey His Majesty’s command. But if you don’t I don’t really mind killing you, and I don’t think you can really save yourself with such... conditions."
Treating Mason Vex as akin to air, that only further infuriated the Marquess. How could he tolerate this? If not for the fact that he was seriously injured, lacking in energy reserves, and the fact that he was outnumbered.
"Don’t you fucking dare talk to like that. I’m also soone who possesses the title of Rune Lord. So, what if there are two of you?" he snapped, disregarding even the royal decree sent by the king, blinded by rage.
But hearing that sentence, Fla Lord could not help but let out a burst of uncontrollable laughter; the look of contempt on Simon Vanelis’s eyes only beca more noticeable.
The Fiery powerhouse comnted with a sneer, "We all know that you are not worthy of that title."
