The seasoned dical examiner, having just removed his stifling, blood-stained white rubber gloves, stared at the dissected body before him. His brow furrowed so deeply it seed he could crush a fly between his wrinkles.
Standing beside him, his assistant—also his apprentice—looked at the corpse on the table. Despite his experience, he couldn’t help but lean over the trash bin and vomit violently. Only when his stomach was completely empty and he was about to bring up bile did he lift his pale face. Wiping his mouth with a tissue, he asked the senior dical examiner, his voice laced with lingering fear, "Master, what happened here? How did this person’s organs end up like this?"
Hearing his question, the old dical examiner simply shook his head, indicating he also couldn’t understand.
He’d been in the profession for many years and had dissected countless bodies. He thought he had seen almost every bizarre cause of death imaginable. Yet, perplexingly, when he cut it open and exposed the internal organs, he found them damaged! Although the damage wasn’t extensive, it was certainly fatal. A little probing revealed that beneath the major organs lay fragnts of the heart, liver, spleen, lungs, and kidneys, mixed with blood and other bodily fluids into a jumbled, viscous mass, much like a thick stew! It was so grotesque that if the renowned Chef Niu Dao were here, he’d probably swing his arm dramatically, give a thumbs-up, and declare, ’Guess what? This stew here is the real deal!’
"Why did it turn out like this?" the puzzled dical examiner muttered. "Given their external injuries, their internal state shouldn’t be like this at all!"
He couldn’t make sense of it. This was completely unscientific!
Subsequently, he dissected the other bodies. He found their causes of death were largely similar to the first: no fatal wounds on the surface, but upon opening the abdon and examining the organs, so had Shattered viscera, resembling porcelain with fine, intricate cracks, as if ticulously scored by a small knife; others had organs that had engorged and ruptured.
Only four individuals had nothing unusual in their abdons; instead, they had suffered severe head trauma. Three of them had brains that were effectively liquefied, resembling a bowl of soft tofu pudding. The man with the inverted triangular eyes, however, had a different condition: his brain hadn’t scattered, but the brain matter and blood had been thoroughly churned together, looking at first glance like strawberry pudding.
"I’m never eating stew, soft tofu pudding, or strawberry pudding again as long as I live!" his assistant exclaid with a grimace, looking at the state of the lead trafficker’s head. Today’s autopsies had clearly left an indelible psychological scar on him.
The senior dical examiner ignored him. He took a few photos with his phone, walked over to a nearby computer, printed the pictures, and then began to write furiously, filling out the autopsy reports for the traffickers.
In a short ti, the reports were complete. After reviewing them once to ensure their accuracy, the senior dical examiner took the docunts to find Superintendent Bai.

They found many officers gathered around the laptops retrieved from the traffickers’ wooden cabin, examining transaction records and addresses on the screens, diligently recording and cross-referencing information.
