"What's going on in here?"
Gustav, the assistant manager, arrived to respond to the whole situation after the cashier called him over earlier.
"Who was it that wanted to talk to ?"
He looked at Karen, as if waiting for her to explain the situation.
In fact, Gustav was actually aware of the whole situation already. He was just waiting for Karen to explain herself.
On the other hand, the crowd cheered the mont they saw Gustav appear.
"She's causing trouble, that's what is going on here!" One of them stated behind the other's back.
"Ma'am, Is that true?" Gustav looked at Karen with raised eyebrows.
Karen was just about to reply in her usual tone when she recalled the strange rule of this place. Thinking that the assistant manager might ban her from coming again here for life, Karen shivered as she adjusted her tone.
"N-no it's not. It's like this. I just wanted to say how delicious the food here is. And from the looks of it, not only is the food here delicious, even their employees have great personalities, and they even have handso and pretty faces." She stated in a clear flattering voice.
Gustav noticed her flattery but did not mind it the least. He nodded his head and smiled as if he did not notice her flattery, "Is that so? Well, thank you for your kind words, ma'am."
Before Karen could spout another generic flattery again, Gustav decided to cut her off and said, "However, I must say that we are delaying the crowd already ma'am. What would you like to order? I'll prepare it for you myself."
Hearing that, Karen suddenly felt pressured weighing down her shoulders. If it was just the crowd earlier, she would surely just ignore it and continue to hope that she would get a free sparkling fried chicken.
However, the man in front of her was the assistant manager who has the power to ban her from entering the store. If she did not order anything now, he might think that she was deliberately trying to create a ruckus.
Afraid of such a scenario from happening, and as the pressure on her shoulder intensifies, Karen imdiately pulls the remaining pennies on her pocket. After counting it, she heaves a sigh of relief after realizing that it was above 80 Global Pennies.
Karen imdiately looked at Gustav and said, "One order of Set 1 Sparklin Chicken, please!"
"Alright ma'am, just wait for a few minutes."
Gustav smiled in return, took her 80 Global Pennies, and handed it to the cashier before he went back to the kitchen.
The cashier handed her a receipt as well as a number tent.
Karen finally stepped aside and searched for another table to sit on.
anwhile, Karlo, who saw the whole situation unfold could not help but nod his head in approval upon seeing how the situation was resolved easily by the assistant manager.
It seems that not only was the product here top tier, even their managers and employees and ways of handling their custors were top tier as well.
His opinion regarding the Sparkling Buds was renewed earlier. And seeing them handle the situation calmly even made his opinion beco even more favorable. At this point, Karlo has already promised to dine here every ti and that he must bring his family and friends over and brag to them that he was one of the first 100 people who managed to taste the fried chicken of heaven.
And speaking of the manager, Karlo could not help but think that his voice was a little similar to the vulgar voice earlier.
He thought for a mont and decided to shake his head to get rid of such distracting thoughts.
So, what if they are related and a little similar? I'm here to eat, not to gossip. Let nature take its course.
And after two minutes of waiting, it was finally Karlo's turn to order again. This ti, he did not order the Set 1, but instead the Set 2 that cost 1.10 Global Dollars. The Set 2 includes two pieces of sparkling chicken, 1 cup of rice and 1 soda.

Roland looked at the whole scene unfold earlier with great interest.

Perhaps because everyone was busy gobbling on their food, no one noticed Karlo embarrassing himself with his own actions.
