Chapter 937: Chapter 935: Prism (Eight) Chapter 937: Chapter 935: Prism (Eight) In the subtle atmosphere, six people and one cat hurried back to the research building that Fu Qian and his team had searched with considerable efficiency.

On the way, nothing unusual occurred, but it was clear that each team mber had their own thoughts.

Under such a tense atmosphere, there was a simple reason why the team had not yet disbanded—the impression Adele’s corpse had made was too profound to ignore.

With their physical abilities limited to that of ordinary people, it was clear that everyone had considered the difficulty of surviving in this place.

Under the current circumstances, going solo was obviously not a good choice.

Thus, despite the lack of liveliness, team cohesion had actually increased.

Additionally, after entering the building, the noticeably weakened blue color made people involuntarily relax a bit.

“Is this where it was found?”

Brother Red Dragon undoubtedly had a good mory, leading everyone through twists and turns with hardly any wasted effort, arriving once again at the empty laboratory.

The still-open safe undoubtedly corroborated his and Fu Qian’s earlier statents.

The other four mbers eyed the scene until Masked Man was the first to speak up.

“Yes, we’d found it almost simultaneously with receiving the signal, so we hadn’t explored further.”

Brother Red Dragon briefly recapped the situation at the ti.

“From the searched area, it appears to be cleaned out very well, almost no valuable information to be found.”

“Where was the key found?”

Lady Qing, obviously more ticulous, scanned the safe several tis before suddenly asking.

“There was no key.”

Red Dragon knew she was looking at the organized safe and pointed directly at Fu Qian.

“It was Guansi who opened it.”

Oh?

For a mont, everyone’s gaze inevitably converged on him again.

“Just a handy little life hack.”

Fu Qian, who was petting the cat, was quite modest, mainly because the cat had beco noticeably more restless upon re-entering the room, struggling more vigorously.

Fu Qian’s self-deprecation left the team montarily speechless, but nevertheless, this information did cause a shift in their posture.

Normally they might rely on their own skills, but with their transcendent abilities limited, lockpicking skills suddenly seed more critical.

“Very well, let’s continue.”

As the spokesperson of the team, Masked Man was clearly satisfied with the progress and promptly gestured for Red Dragon to lead the way.

With Adele’s earlier ntion of the research institute, everything looked more appealing as they wandered now.

Judging from the layout and so facilities, this place did seem to be a sowhat aged research institution. The six-person team carefully observed, not overlooking any suspicious detail.

Sadly, despite their intense scrutiny, the area seed even cleaner than the floors below.

Along the way, Fu Qian was also asked to open a few more safes, demonstrating the team’s value once again.

Unfortunately, aside from one safe containing several unlabelled potions, there were no other findings.

Confronted with the red, green, and blue vials before them, the team fell into a brief silence.

Though unlicensed potions, in such a place, secured so seriously in a safe, they seed more valuable than the cat in Fu Qian’s hands.

Considering their current cooperative status, how to handle these unidentified spoils of war clearly required so discussion.

“Let the convict carry them.”

Unexpectedly, Masked Man showed considerable decisiveness, without waiting for discussion and designating the person in charge.

In response to this decision, Guansi, as the least active mber of the team, looked quite surprised.

The others hesitated briefly but quickly understood Masked Man’s intentions.

From previous behavior, this person’s unpleasantness was comparable to Guansi, but the latter’s demonstrated talents significantly increased his importance.

The simplest point being, if not for Guansi, it wouldn’t have been so easy to lay hands on these three vials.

Under these circumstances, with a clear animosity toward Guansi, the convict’s place in the team beca sowhat awkward.

Masked Man’s action was also a tily and clear expression of his will—to maintain the team spirit.

One had to admit, the gesture was quite necessary.

For the mont, no one objected, including the convict himself.

The convict didn’t say anything, just quietly returned his weapon to its place and carefully packed the three vials after making sure they were well protected.

“Is there not much left for us?”

Not long after, following another detailed search, Masked Man looked at the passage ahead with a hint of resignation in his tone.

“Just the top floor left, it looks like this place has been evacuated very thoroughly.”

Red Dragon nodded.

“Good, but I think we’ve already grown accustod to coming up empty-handed.”

Masked Man remarked wistfully, then, determining the direction, took the lead.

“To be fair, let’s take turns scouting ahead.”

Such a reasonable arrangent naturally t with no objections.

Indeed, everyone had been benefiting from Red Dragon’s lack of complaint, as he had taken point throughout the unfamiliar environnt.

Unfortunately, Masked Man’s proactive approach was not as smooth as one might have imagined.

The last floor was not only unreachable by elevator, but all the corridors they tried were also locked tight.

As they completed the circuit, the group exchanged looks, excitent in their eyes difficult to hide.

Anomalies always brought excitent to professionals like them.

“Can you do it?”

Masked Man looked at Fu Qian.

He had shown a high level of ability in little tricks along the way, but the current obstacle was clearly more complex.

“Sure thing.”

Seeing the team’s eager atmosphere, Fu Qian stepped forward to work without hesitation.

After being hung on his waist again, the cat Henry just struggled for a mont before giving up.

Before long, in the hopeful gaze of the team, the pleasing subtle sounds of chanisms unlocking were heard.

But Fu Qian who had done his duty, didn’t rush to open the door the next mont.

“I’ll go. There might indeed be so danger behind it.”

Seeing this, Lady Qing quickly stepped to the door’s side.

Fu Qian’s reaction could easily be interpreted as a fear of opening the door to danger.

“Now it would make sense for to take a turn up front.”

Fu Qian shook his head, holding his lockpicking tool between two fingers and raising it in front of Qing.

“This is…”

The next mont, seeing what was in Fu Qian’s hand, Qing struggled to speak, her voice inexplicably dry.

At the tip of the unassuming tool, a few milliters were emitting a special fluorescence.

And regardless of the color and brightness, it matched perfectly with what was on Adele’s body.
