Chapter 938: Chapter 936 Prism (9) Chapter 938: Chapter 936 Prism (9) “This is… there’s contamination inside, it’s even penetrated the door.”

Lady Qing’s gaze flickered uncontrollably in the face of the anomaly in Fu Qian’s hand.

It must be said, this was a very normal understanding.

From what the others saw and then did, all briskly moving away from the door, it was clear what “great minds think alike” ant.

However, Fu Qian didn’t respond, instead, he turned his head to look at the small window at the end of the corridor.

Unconsciously, within the deeper blue than that of the room, a faint purple had tinted the view.

Fu Qian was certain it wasn’t a trick of his eyes, because the faint purple was deepening, even beginning to turn vivid red.

“What’s going on?”

His movent undoubtedly drew the attention of the others, and the change in colors was quickly noticed.

“Damn!”

Unfortunately, the response to Lady Star’s question was an angry curse from the death row inmate.

Following the sound, one could see him rapidly tearing off a glove and desperately throwing it into the distance.

And one would notice imdiately that there were familiar specks of luminescence on the glove, not only spreading rapidly around but also having sared onto the ground.

In fact, this was not the only spot, the fluorescence inside the lock which Fu Qian had just operated was surging out like a breach, swiftly spreading over a large part of the door.

Additionally, where the glow covered, it even ford layers of light and shadow, creating an indescribably eerie effect.

And with this scene, it was easy to infer what the prisoner had just done—he had touched the keyhole with his hand.

Fortunately, he was cautious enough to still be wearing gloves, and there were no traces on his body.

After all, no matter how you looked at it, this luminescence did not seem benevolent.

So now the question arose, with such an obvious anomaly, could the answer to the mission be behind this door? Should they enter? How?

“Go! Sothing’s coming out.”

In the naturally conflicting emotions, it was the Masked Man who, observing calmly, spoke firmly.

And as if to answer him, the next mont a loud bang was heard, as if sothing had slamd hard against the door in front of them.

Luckily, the door opened inward; it just vibrated intensely, even deforming slightly, but it didn’t burst open.

However, everyone present was a professional and could tell from the collision sound and amplitude of the trembling that the force behind it was far beyond human capacity.

“Quick, there are many more.”

At this mont, the Masked Man urged once more, dispelling everyone’s last hesitation.

For the howling within the door rose and fell, fully corroborating his assertion.

“Back the way we ca.”

And Brother Red Dragon, true to his experience and steadiness, gave a low roar, motioning others to follow.

It must be said that under normal circumstances, Brother Red Dragon’s decision was quite sensible.

Even without such combat specialists, any office worker familiar with business travel would share a hard-earned truth—if you have an urgent task and ti is tight, never choose a route you’ve never taken before, regardless of how convenient it appears on the map.

The reliability of a well-known path far exceeds imagination.

And at this mont, retracing their steps had another critical function: it was to compare the current scenery with that on the way there.

If they could spot differences, it could significantly aid in analyzing what exactly was happening.

In light of this, the team mbers almost imdiately accepted Red Dragon’s suggestion.

If only…

Not long after, a group of people stood before yet another tightly closed door, exchanging puzzled looks.

“Why is it closed?”

Lady Star couldn’t hide her surprise.

No one present was directionally challenged, and with Red Dragon serving as the guide, there was no doubt that this was the route they had taken before.

Considering the style of the thieves’ entrance, it could be said that wherever they passed, not a single door was left closed. The scene before them was clearly different from when they had left.

Besides this eerie event, what weighed even more heavily on the hearts of those present was the strange, spreading glow that was now creeping their way at an astonishingly rapid pace.

“It’s locked.”

Red Dragon quickly tried the door and then turned back to call for the technical staff.

Bang! Bang!

However, before Fu Qian could respond to the call, gunfire had already sounded.

The one who acted was Masked Man, who pulled out an exceptionally artistic-looking pistol and began shooting continuously.

Aside from his previous hand crossbow, the fact that he had other long-range options just showed his ticulous preparations.

Without ti to express their astonishnt, Red Dragon stepped forward and kicked the door.

Fortunately, this door was significantly lower in quality compared to the one leading to the top floor and almost instantly gave way upon impact.

However, rather than advancing, Red Dragon retreated, executing a roll on the spot.

As he moved, a low growl was heard, and a dark shadow lunged out from behind the door.

Thanks to his preemptive evasive action, Red Dragon narrowly avoided the fierce ambush.

Even in an unbalanced state, he managed to thrust his Blade Spear in a fluid motion.

Like the sound of punctured parchnt, the strike successfully pierced its target.

Given the attacker’s speed, it essentially tore open a massive wound in itself.

With that, a strong-slling liquid gushed from the wound, like a downpour of blood, cascading around them.

Unquestionably within the range of splatter, Red Dragon was drenched to the core.

The assaulter then let out a mournful wail, crashing heavily to the ground.

Upon closer inspection, it was a large, blood-soaked black hunting dog, its ferociousness clear at a glance.

In that mont, even with a Blade Spear-inflicted wound stretching from its belly to its tail, it struggled to rise and resu its attack.

“There’s more!”

In the midst of the bloody scene, Qing’s voice broke through, accompanied by the swooshing sound of her projectile.

The next instant, another shadow lunged from behind the door, colliding solidly with the arrow she had released.

Amidst its cries, the shadow’s forward leap was thwarted, and it tumbled to the ground.

With that one arrow, Qing successfully saved Red Dragon, who had fallen, from a fatal follow-up strike.

The second attacker was another black dog, though slightly smaller in size. It now bared its teeth at Qing, revealing the fresh blood and sinew between its sharp fangs.

The arrow lodged in its skull sent it into a frenzy.

Regrettably, that emotion had only half a mont to express itself.

In the next second, the wind and gunfire sounded in quick succession; the creature’s head was blown to bits, its body pinned to the ground.

“How are you?”

Lady Star reached out to help Red Dragon up, asking with concern.

However, he did not respond, just looked coldly at the two dead dogs.

No doubt they were a bloody ss, but what was truly chilling was the sight of faint wisps of glowing light within the bloodstains.
