"..." Intersellar world Shen Yu fell silent once again.

But the Goddess of Hope seed determined to let him know everything.

Without waiting for any questions, she unveiled one confidential scene after another.

"In Wutun, there are a total of 114 similar arrangents, all made during counterattack simulations by the highest commanders of each era. So were discarded by due to redundancy, so abandoned after the enemy caught wind, others failed for being unrealistic. As of now, fifty-three remain."

Intersellar world Shen Yu saw, within these countless scenes and secrets, the painstaking efforts of the commanders throughout history.

Even without seeing any hope, they kept preparing for this ultimate mont of counterattack.

Even if most had already sacrificed themselves, had died, and many of these preparations had long lost their effectiveness.

Yet, even just those they left behind—just these few—Intersellar world Shen Yu couldn’t imagine how they could possibly lose!

He even saw words left by one particular commander above.

"On a tactical level, the Void Spirit Race is full of holes and flaws. Their warriors aren’t like soldiers, but more like a bunch of tourists; their military discipline is practically zero."

Practically zero might be an exaggeration, but being riddled with flaws was spot on.

Just watching the endless stream of Void Spirits charging straight into such a simple ’trap’, Intersellar world Shen Yu could almost see their fear and pain.

But that’s not enough.

This number is still far from enough!

Not only did Intersellar world Shen Yu think so—Xiu’Er felt the sa way.

He stood at the very center, making no effort to conceal his presence.

And around him, layer upon layer of warriors equipped with Eye Worm Weapons—this weapon, involving the Extraordinary, could only be wielded by humans, impossible to mount onto warships.

But none of it mattered anymore.

Though the identity of these soldiers’ commander was fake, their integrity as warriors was as true as could be.

Ard with these weapons, accompanied by detection devices projecting the enemy into their field of vision, they could finally see the enemy! Finally kill the enemy!

"It’s exhilarating!"

From the mont they killed the first Void Spirit, every warrior here burst out in laughter—even as comrades fell, fear was nowhere to be found.

This might be the first ti in the history of Human Civilization.

"This is no longer just a war." Xiu’Er broke into a wide grin, silently watching the scene. "This is personal vengeance."

Exactly. War breeds fear, makes people dread death, but vengeance born of personal grudges brings unbridled satisfaction.

"We’ve scanned over a million Void Spirits." Xiu’Er’s subordinate commander reminded him. "Any trump cards you’re still holding back?"

These were all true commanders.

Though Xiu’Er hadn’t revealed his plan, as excellent commanders of Human Civilization, just a glance was enough for them to understand.

A simple, yet extrely effective trap.

Tailor-made for Void Spirit Warriors.

Though these Void Spirit Race seem spectral, they share most of the flaws of social, intelligent life.

For example, herd ntality.

Coupled with their disorganized system, as soon as one charges forward, so do all the Void Spirits.

"No rush," Xiu’Er replied with a laugh.

He was waiting.

Waiting for the Void Spirits to get right in front of him—maybe to lose their bait, or perhaps for one of their commanders to finally sense sothing amiss and start pulling back their foolish, chaotic warriors.

The truth was, reaching a million Void Spirits in such a short ti already far exceeded his expectations.

Because in recent tis, casualties had dropped significantly.

That ant the Void Spirits were both afraid and gambling for luck.

If so, the final projected number...

"Goddess of Hope." Xiu’Er directly contacted the Goddess, "Can you handle three million Void Spirits?"

"No problem." It was Intersellar world Shen Yu’s voice replying directly, "You might need to move sowhere higher."

"Good!" Xiu’Er felt more excited now than ever before in his life.

He stood up, donned the insignia of the highest commander, tidied his uniform, then turned to his comrades and declared:

"Co on, let us witness our revenge, and the Void Spirit’s agony and fear!"

The commanders straightened up with pride; in every pair of eyes burned an inferno.

They followed right behind Xiu’Er, boarding a spaceship.

As the ship soared skyward, all the Void Spirits grew agitated.

They surged like a tide, launching an ancient charge toward the ship.

Take down humanity’s highest commander, crush the Wutun reclamation—such a feat would earn ultimate glory!

"Goddess of Hope," Xiu’Er said finally, "Is there a way to project what our detection devices are seeing to all our warriors?"

"Already done," said the Goddess.

At that mont, within the vast barracks, soldiers heading to their warships and posts suddenly glimpsed a heart-stirring spectacle.

Countless Void Spirits, densely packed, were surging toward a particular ship.

And aboard that ship was their commander!

Laughing—broadly, without a hint of fear.

"Comrades, fellow kin, allow to share this joyous mont!" Xiu’Er switched back to the familiar, rough voice known to everyone.

What Intersellar world Shen Yu didn’t know was: this voice wasn’t just Xiu’Er’s random choice.

It belonged to the very first generation of commanders stationed here.

Initially, the second generation used the sa voice, just so the soldiers wouldn’t learn of the commander’s sacrifice.

But use after use, it beca a tradition.

Every warrior, every new recruit, had lived on to this day, spurred, inspired, and accompanied by this voice.

Xiu’Er even felt all the past commanders gathering within him now.

"Now it’s your turn to suffer," Xiu’Er contacted Intersellar world Shen Yu. "It’s all on you now!"

"Copy."

Intersellar world Shen Yu’s voice rang out—not through the comms, but right at Xiu’Er’s side!

His whole body overflowed with surging Magic Power, his magic fully prepared.

At this mont, the Void Spirits had in fact noticed sothing was wrong.

They had clearly received a retreat order—the Void Spirits at the back were changing direction.

But it was already too late.

A sun appeared above the spaceship.

Fourth Stage Magic—Holy Great Sun!

It consud eight hundred ninety million units of Gray Mist from Intersellar world Shen Yu, designed specifically to target incorporeal spiritual beings!

The human warriors turned their heads in bewildernt at the sudden appearance of the sun, feeling only a comforting warmth, as if basking naked in gentle sunlight.

But for the Void Spirits—it was as if they were scorched by blazing fire!

In a flash, visible to the naked eye, every Void Spirit dissolved in shrieks!

Through the shared feed from their detectors, every warrior in Wutun could witness it all clearly.

They saw the Void Spirits who tornted and killed their comrades scatter, wailing, unable to escape the destroying light, all of them dissolving utterly.

Monts ago, the dense Void Spirit army had been like storm clouds; in the next mont, it was all gone.

How many Void Spirits had died?

A million, two million?

The soldiers stared wide-eyed, hands trembling as they watched the screens; so even directly sought an answer from the Goddess of Hope.
