"The remaining ti is unknown."
Jellal's voice continued, carrying a spine-chilling calmness.
"Once Etherion falls, everyone will die, which ans the ga is over."
"Everyone... enjoy this ga to your heart's content!!"
After the declaration of war, the entire Tower of Heaven fell into a dead silence.
"What... what is this, Jellal...?"
Square-faced Wally looked up stiffly, gazing upward in disbelief.
"Etherion... if we're hit by sothing like that, everyone will... We just wanted to gain true freedom!"
He never expected that after helping him build the Tower of Heaven, the other party would completely disregard their lives in the end... anwhile, in the tower's dining hall.
"How could this be..."
Hearing that Etherion was coming, Lucy's body trembled.
"In a situation where even he might die, he's still talking about so ga... He's a complete lunatic!"
Gray and Juvia also looked solemn, their faces filled with worry.
Only Ron and Natsu had no reaction at all, feasting at the long table laden with exquisite delicacies.
"Hey! You two!"
Lucy watched this scene and slamd the table, standing up. "Is now the ti to be eating?! Etherion is about to fall!!!"
"Hmm?"
Natsu swallowed the at in his mouth and blinked, looking dazed. "What's Etherion? Does it taste good?"
"Don't be so nervous, Lucy."
Ron slowly wiped his mouth and casually picked up a pudding to hand to her.
"Since it's the last supper, it's all the more reason to eat our fill before heading out, right?"
"Ron, even you..."
Seeing Lucy on the verge of a breakdown, a hint of a smile flashed in Ron's eyes.
He knew Jellal's plan, so he wasn't panicked at all; in fact, he was even sowhat looking forward to it.
'I really want to see what kind of expression you'll have then, Jellal.'
Ron thought mischievously, then waved his hand to soothe her. "Alright, alright, I was just teasing you."
"I've already analyzed it; nothing will happen."
He then explained the true nature of the Tower of Heaven to the three of them.
"That's how it is. The current Tower of Heaven is actually just a giant magic crystal waiting to accumulate magic power."
"Even if you say that... it's still Etherion. If sothing goes wrong..."
Boom!
Just then, the sound of fighting ca from the direction of the dining hall's main entrance.
Imdiately after, Erza entered with a sharp sword in hand, walking with long, purposeful strides.
Juvia's cheeks instantly flushed crimson. "So cool!"
"Yo, Erza!"
Ron, holding a chicken leg, waved toward the door and shouted with a smile.
Seeing a room full of people having a feast in the enemy camp, Erza was clearly stunned for a mont.
The long sword in her hand lowered slightly, and a complex light flashed in her eyes.
"Sigh, I knew it..."
She sighed helplessly and walked in front of everyone. "The people Jellal ntioned were indeed you guys."
Natsu swallowed the food in his hand in one gulp and said indistinctly, "We're here to take you back. Let's hurry up and blow that Jellal guy away, then head back to the guild!"
"Go back!"
Erza avoided Natsu's pure gaze, her expression serious.
"This isn't a place where you should be."
"I won't!" Natsu refused without a second thought. "I still have to find Happy!"
"Happy?"
Erza thought for a mont and had a guess. "Could it be... Millianna?"
"Where is that guy?"
"I don't know, this tower is huge..."
"Alright, I understand!"
Natsu stood up and walked over to Erza, his eyes as hot as fire as he looked directly at her.
"Erza, I'm going to find Happy now. You go settle your own grudges quickly, whether it's that bullshit Jellal or the Tower of Heaven."
"When it's all over... we'll go ho together!"
After saying that, he didn't give Erza a chance to argue. He sniffed the air and rushed out like the wind.
"Hey, hey! Natsu, you're acting reckless again!"
"I'll follow and keep an eye on him."
Dazed by Natsu's words about 'going ho,' Erza forgot to stop them for a mont. It wasn't until Lucy also disappeared from the dining hall entrance that she snapped back to her senses.
"Millianna is soone who loves cats very much. I don't think she would hurt Happy. I'll take responsibility for bringing them back."
Erza looked at Ron, Gray, and Juvia, her gaze turning stern once again.
"As for you guys... leave this place imdiately!"
"Leave?"
Gray leaned against the table, arms crossed, and shook his head directly. "We can't do that."
"This is my problem. I don't want to involve you."
"We've already been dragged into this. You heard what Natsu said just now, didn't you?"
Gray said with a firm gaze.
"On the way here, Ron already told us all about your past."
"Erza, why don't you just do what you usually do? Tell us not to talk back and just say 'follow '?"
"We'll lend you our strength!"
Erza's pupils constricted, and she was completely stunned.
"My... past?"
"Heh heh, just the things that happened before you ca to Fairy Tail."
Ron chuckled, speaking in a teasing tone.
"Don't worry, I only briefly ntioned your oppressed childhood here. As for the rest... I didn't say a word."
Swish!
'There's more?'
Gray and Juvia stared at Erza, their souls burning with the fire of gossip.
Erza's face flushed slightly, and the tragic atmosphere around her vanished in the blink of an eye.
"We'll help you, Erza."
Ron stepped forward and gently patted her shoulder, his eyes full of tenderness and solemnity.
"Even for you, it's okay to be vulnerable once in a while and rely on us. We're family after all. Didn't The Gramps say..."
He leaned down slightly and looked straight at Erza, who had her head lowered, speaking one word at a ti.
"One person's happiness is everyone's happiness."
"One person's anger is everyone's anger."
"And one person's tears... are also everyone's tears!"
"So..."
The atmosphere had reached its peak, and it looked like a deeply moving embrace was about to happen.
Erza suddenly looked up, her sharp eyes staring at Ron with suspicion.
"Ron... you bastard, did you peek at my mories?!"
"Huh?"
Ron was almost choked to death by those words.
It wasn't Erza's fault for thinking that; after all, Ron had a history, like with that guy nad Kagayama.
He looked at Erza's gaze, which had turned dangerous, and his scalp instantly tingled.
'Wait, I'm here giving you psychological support and emotional guidance, and you actually suspect of spying on your privacy?!'
'Do I even need to look at your mories? Reading the script is much faster than looking at mories!'
"Cough, cough... such details aren't important!"
Ron leaned back tactically and hurriedly waved his hands to downplay the matter.
"What's important is that even you don't have to face everything alone."
"Even your forr companions thought about bringing us here to help you, didn't they?"
"I'm right, aren't I..."
Ron's mouth curled slightly as he looked toward a corner of the dining hall.
"Simon."
