Why could soone attack by gathering magical energy in their hands without using a magic tool?
"That’s an Earthland mage!!" soone shouted.
But before the words were out, Finn grabbed the soldier by the throat.
His fiery eyes glowed crimson in the darkness, reflecting the screams of the Royal Army, the raging flas, and the scene of devastation. The soldier’s eyes widened in terror: "Monster... no... you’re a demon!!"
He only managed a gasp before falling unconscious.
"People who take lives to fulfill their desires call others demons?" Finn scoffed.
"Requesting backup! Requesting backup!" The Royal Army squad leader, hiding behind a wall, used his communication crystal.
"We’re facing an Earthland mage!"
"Understood. Reinforcents are on their way. How many?" the crystal replied.
"One..." The squad leader only got out two words before a sudden fireball engulfed him.
The last remaining Royal Army soldier was eliminated.
"So... so strong!" Nancy gasped.
The battle lasted less than a minute. Two hundred soldiers were eliminated. Even having witnessed Finn’s power before, this was still incredibly shocking.
Suddenly, the ground under Finn beca soft, like a swamp, slowly swallowing his feet.
"Careful!" Nancy pointed behind Finn, shouting a warning.
Finn turned to see a colossal monster doll swinging a massive fist down at him. The wind from the punch ruffled his bangs.
Bang—
A deafening crash echoed as Finn was completely hamred into the softened ground.
"Finn!!" Nancy cried out, her voice filled with alarm as she watched Finn being swallowed by the earth.
"Hmm~ Looks like even Earthland mages aren’t so amazing after all," a sowhat oily voice drawled.
"Haha, such arrogance to co alone," another voice added.
"They’re... the mage squad captains," Nancy stated grimly, her gaze fixed on the two approaching figures.
"And more soldiers!"
Indeed, countless Royal Army soldiers followed behind the two mage squad captains.
"Oh? A Fallen Angel?" Shug, captain of the fourth squad, exclaid in surprise, his eyes fixed on Nancy.
Hughes, captain of the third squad, stepped forward, his eyes narrowed. "Shug, don’t worry. She’s a banished Fallen Angel, with a bounty on her head."
"So killing her is no problem!" Hughes said cruelly.
Nancy gritted her teeth, spreading her wings and flying towards the softened ground. She was determined to rescue Finn.
"Useless!" Hughes shouted, tapping his magic weapon, the ’Command Wand’.
More giant monster dolls appeared, blocking Nancy’s path.
"Kill her!" Hughes pointed his wand at Nancy.
Dozens of giant monster dolls, their eyes glowing nacingly red, lunged towards Nancy, their fists raised to strike.
"Who gave you permission to attack my comrade?!" a chilling voice echoed.
To Shug’s astonishnt, cracks appeared in the softened earth, and countless red lights erupted from beneath the surface.
"Finn!" Nancy’s gaze was fixed on the earth, her voice filled with relief and hope.
The red light intensified, and flas surged from the ground.
BOOM—
The earth shattered explosively, revealing Finn, completely unhard, beneath the surface.
"This guy... he’s fine?" Hughes muttered in disbelief.
"This Earthland mage is no ordinary opponent," Shug conceded, his expression grave as he fixed his gaze on Finn, his grip tightening on his Rose Sword.
"In that case, unleash the monster army! Overwhelm him!"
Hughes swung his Command Wand, and the dozens of giant monster dolls that had been targeting Nancy turned their attention towards Finn, advancing nacingly.
Finn stretched his limbs, his movents fluid and graceful.
His eyes flickered towards the weapons wielded by the two captains, a subtle smile playing upon his lips. "One of you controls lifeless monsters using a magic wand, and the other uses their sword to soften objects, am I correct?" he stated, his voice laced with amusent.
The two captains were taken aback by Finn’s astute observation.
They hadn’t expected Finn to deduce the nature of their magic from a single, swift encounter.
"So what if you’ve figured it out? Can you possibly withstand the combined assault of this army of monsters?" Hughes roared, his voice filled with derision.
As Hughes’s words trailed off, dozens of colossal monsters launched their simultaneous attack, their fists descending upon Finn.
"Heh!" A scornful laugh escaped Finn’s lips.
"Since you two have decided to show yourselves, it saves the trouble of searching for you. Let’s settle this right here and now!"
A torrent of flas erupted from Finn’s body, engulfing the surrounding area in a wave of intense heat.
The fists of the approaching monsters were abruptly halted mid-air, their montum stifled by the overwhelming power of Finn’s fiery assault. In the blink of an eye, the monsters were completely enveloped by the raging inferno.
"Impossible?! My monsters?!" Hughes exclaid, his eyes wide with disbelief as he watched his carefully constructed monster dolls being consud by the flas.
"Cover !" Shug bellowed to Hughes, his voice filled with urgency.
Gripping his Rose Sword tightly, Shug charged towards Finn, his movents swift and decisive.
Despite his concern for the fate of his monster dolls, Hughes recognized that this was not the ti to be sentintal.
He nodded in agreent, raising his Command Wand once more. The lifeless objects surrounding them—the dolls within the shop, and the magical vehicles parked along the roadside—ca to life, seemingly animated by Hughes’s magical command.
They surged towards Finn, their movents synchronized and nacing.
Finn drew his Ryūjin Jakka, his foot planting firmly upon the ground as he propelled himself forward with explosive speed.
Wielding his Ryūjin Jakka, its blade ablaze with fiery energy, Finn unleashed a devastating slash aid directly at Shug.
"Excellent!" Shug thought gleefully, rembering that his weapon could soften any inanimate object.
He swung his sword to et Finn’s attack.
Clang—
The resounding clang of tal against tal echoed through the air, followed by the distinct sound of a sword striking the ground. Shug’s eyes widened in disbelief.
"Impossible?! My sword... it’s been severed?!"
Before the thought could fully register in his mind, the razor-sharp blade of Ryūjin Jakka sliced into Shug’s body.
A torrent of blood erupted from the wound, only to be instantly vaporized by the intense heat of the blade.
A deep, gaping wound, exposing bone, marred Shug’s body.
His consciousness dissolved into oblivion.
As Shug collapsed to the ground, the lifeless objects under Hughes’s control launched their assault.
Finn, gripping his sword firmly, unleashed a powerful overhead slash.
A colossal blade of fire materialized out of thin air, hurtling towards Hughes, its path cutting through all the inanimate objects in its way. The objects, upon which Hughes had pinned his hopes, were instantly shattered and reduced to ashes by the searing flas.
BOOM—
Allowing Hughes no ti to react, the fiery slash engulfed him completely, triggering a massive explosion.
As the flas subsided, Hughes’s body collapsed weakly to the ground, his eyes wide with a mixture of shock and disbelief.
"Finn! Magnificent job!" Nancy cheered, raising her fist triumphantly.
"It’s not over yet. There are still far too many Royal Army soldiers," Finn remarked, turning his attention towards the dense throng of Royal Army soldiers who had completely surrounded him.
Upon eting Finn’s gaze, the surrounding Royal Army soldiers couldn’t help but recoil slightly, their resolve faltering.
After all, even the two formidable mage squad captains had been utterly defeated by this seemingly unstoppable force.
"Don’t retreat! Attack together! He’s just human! Humans get tired! Surely, our superior numbers can overwhelm a single opponent!" a voice bood across the battlefield, presumably that of a Royal Army captain.
"That’s right! He’s human! Let’s attack together!"
"Attack! Attack!"
The Royal Army soldiers roared in unison, their voices filled with renewed determination as they attempted to bolster their courage.
Witnessing the resurgence of the Royal Army soldiers’ morale, Finn offered a wry smile, the flas enveloping his body intensifying dramatically.
"Violent Volt!"
"Iron Dragon’s Roar!"
Just as Finn prepared to unleash his devastating attacks, a familiar voice echoed from behind the ranks of the Royal Army soldiers.
As the night gradually yielded to the approaching dawn, the entire royal capital was thrown into a state of chaos, its streets filled with the incessant blare of alarms. Countless Royal Army soldiers surged towards the central plaza.
However, Finn and his companions had vanished without a trace.
The colossal magic crystal that had stood in the center of the plaza was also gone.
