This was not a true fight to the death between her and Kabe. There was no need to resort to sothing so ugly after the battle had already ended.
She had her own pride as well. A loss was a loss. This ti, it was only because she had not been familiar with his thods. Next ti, she would definitely win it back and wash away the humiliation this brat had forced on her.
With that thought, more than half of Irene's anger instantly faded.
Looking at Kabe, who was still completely bare, she forced herself to keep a straight face and used magic to create a normal set of clothes for him.
"Oh? You can even make clothes? Irene, you really do know quite a lot of magic."
Kabe tugged at the collar of the shirt, which fit him perfectly, and praised her sincerely.
Magic really was ridiculously convenient. Maybe he ought to start finding ways to develop more unusual applications for ki himself.
But Irene felt no joy at all from being complinted by him.
With a gloomy expression, she summoned her staff and struggled to stand upright with its support.
Heine and Juliet's faces changed at once, and they hurried forward to help support her.
"Lady Irene, your injuries are actually this serious? H-how is that possible?!"
As they spoke, the way the two girls looked at Kabe gained a few more layers of fear.
To have beaten the Lady Irene they regarded almost like a god into this state, this man truly was a monster in the realest sense.
Irene ignored their concern. After coughing heavily twice, she glared at Kabe and said with difficulty,
"Now can you finally tell what exactly you are?"
Turning around, Kabe cut an opening in the back of his pants and let his tail out again. Then, with a smug grin, he stroked his fluffy treasure of a tail and said,
"This is racial talent. My people are the strongest warrior race in the universe, the Saiyans.
Transforming into a Great Ape increases my battle power by a full ten tis, enough to crush any strong person in this world."
"Ten... tis..."
The corner of Irene's eye twitched.
His normal strength alone had already been enough to injure her dragon body, to the point where she had needed to stack enchantnts over and over again just to suppress him.
And that level of power multiplied by ten...
No wonder she had felt like a toy in front of him, sothing to be casually played with and completely overpowered.
"How can there be a racial gift that absurd? You do not even look that different from us, aside from having a tail."
Brandish's face was full of suspicion. Her eyes stayed locked on the tail behind Kabe, clearly wanting to study it more closely.
"What kind of nonsense is that? Are you looking down on my tail, huh?"
Kabe folded his arms, clearly preparing to properly lecture Brandish until she apologized to his adorable and glorious tail.
But right then, he suddenly sensed a powerful yet hidden abnormal presence enter the range of his perception.
Without the slightest hesitation, he spun around and shouted,
"Who is it? Get out here!"
Irene froze for a mont, then imdiately reacted and began sensing the surrounding magical fluctuations.
But even with her strength, she could not detect anything unusual at all.
If even she was like this, then Brandish and the other two had even less chance of finding anything.
At first, Kabe's sudden shout startled them badly. All of them imdiately began scanning the surroundings in alarm, suspecting that pursuers from the Empire had arrived.
But after staying tense for quite a while, they did not even see a single seabird.
If Kabe had not just displayed such overwhelming strength, they would have begun to wonder whether he was simply too jumpy and imagining things.
Unlike the uncertain won, Kabe himself was completely certain that his senses had not been wrong.
His gaze moved warily in every direction as he carefully followed the source of that hidden aura.
After two or three full minutes of silence, Kabe suddenly turned and shouted toward the sky behind him.
"Dodon Ray!!"
A golden beam of ki, as thick as a baby's forearm, fired out in an instant, ripping through the air and shooting into the heavens.
Although the attack looked dangerous enough, seeing it seemingly hit nothing at all made Brandish and the other two reveal puzzled expressions once again.
Only Irene's face suddenly changed.
She had sensed a fleeting ripple in space itself.
"Who is it? Stop hiding like a rat and get out here!"
"Eh? There really is soone there?!"
Hearing even Lady Irene say that, the three girls instantly tensed and took up combat stances.
After that little exchange, it seed the person hiding in the shadows had realized they could no longer remain concealed.
In the next mont, strange ripples suddenly spread through the sky, as though the air itself were water.
It was as if a veil had been torn away.
A figure slowly erged from within it.
"My, my. You were actually able to notice . I was hiding in another dinsion just now. What a fascinating monkey tail."
The one who spoke was a mature woman with long golden hair.
She wore a white hood adorned with a crescent-shaped golden crown.
Her clothing was a wide, deep-V white kimono, with black jagged patterns decorating the sleeves and black-and-green trim lining the fabric.
That outfit perfectly displayed her delicate collarbone and half of her full, snowy-white chest.
At the sa ti, she was sohow sitting in midair itself, lifting one side of her garnt as she crossed a long, straight, snow-white leg.
The instant this newcor appeared, Irene's sensitive draconic senses suddenly caught a scent that was alarmingly familiar.
It made her cry out in shock without even thinking.
"A dragon! She carries the scent of a dragon!"
Kabe narrowed his eyes as he looked upward, staring fixedly at the faintly visible mysterious region near the root of the woman's thigh, and very seriously added,
"Mm-hmm. And quite a generous dragon too. Round, snowy white, and extrely magnificent."
? ? ?
Irene tilted her head in confusion and glanced at him. Then she followed his line of sight up toward the strange woman in the sky.
A mont later, Irene's face turned black, and a dangerous red light began to flicker in her eyes.
"Idiot, where exactly are you looking?!!"
