“We discussed bringing in a doctor from Capital Hospital,” Xie Wanying ntioned, recalling their dical team’s original plan.
“Right, didn’t you go to find doctors from the Capital Hospital? They said they didn’t have ti to co down. We’ve been inford of the situation, and with that, the patient can only continue treatnt here,” Doctor Chiang said.
“Can’t the interventional departnt of the Provincial People’s Hospital perform this interventional surgery?” Xie Wanying asked for further clarification.
“We contacted our hospital’s cardiovascular departnt, and they ntioned that the patient’s condition makes the risk of interventional surgery very high. It’s best to be patient and observe the progression of the illness first.” Doctor Chiang reiterated Professor He’s words.
In fact, Professor He contacted hospital colleagues but could only receive this helpless response.
“Has the patient undergone a pulmonary artery CT angiography? Doctor Chiang, could you show the results? If you’re concerned about DVT, was an inferior vena cava venography conducted?” Xie Wanying inquired about the examination report results.

“I only heard so general details about my cousin’s condition from my cousin-in-law, and she said that for specifics, I needed to ask Doctor Chiang. I hope to see so of the examination reports to help us assess how to transfer my cousin to Capital Hospital for treatnt, since there’s no way here,” Xie Wanying said.
“Who are you?” Doctor Chiang wanted to know why she could ntion DVT.
Needing to clearly identify herself to actively help her cousin’s treatnt, Xie Wanying straightforwardly revealed, “I am a dical student.”
“A dical student from where? Zhongshan dical College? Or a local dical school from our province?” Doctor Chiang asked.
“No, I’m a dical student from Guoxie.”
Guoxie? Doctor Chiang seed startled by her words. Then he thought about it; Guoxie has recruitnt plans every year across the country. Students who manage to get into Guoxie don’t necessarily have higher scores than those admitted to provincial dical schools.
“What year are you in now? Not graduated?”
“I’m in the internship period, possibly defending my thesis in the coming one or two years,” Xie Wanying answered the senior.
“Graduate student?” She looked so young; Doctor Chiang blinked, questioning whether he had underestimated her age. So people indeed appear younger than they are.
“No, I’m a doctoral student.”
The term “doctoral student” forced Doctor Chiang to voice his doubt: “How old are you this year?”
