Chapter 1779: Chapter 1779: The Teacher’s Son

The office door was pushed open.

Two young people walked in almost shoulder to shoulder, wearing blue and yellow wool sweaters underneath the dical students’ white coats, student sneakers on their feet, and a deanor that seed sowhat more inexperienced compared to Xie Wanying and Student Geng, who were close to entering clinical internships a year earlier.

One of them had very familiar features, and Xie Wanying imdiately recognized him as Teacher Lu’s grandson, Zhang Shuping.

The other young man was the sa height as Zhang Shuping, wore glasses, had a refined and gentle deanor, sported trendy bangs, and appeared livelier than Zhang Shuping. Since this person called out “Dad,” it could be inferred that he was Teacher Du’s son, Du ngen, and a classmate of Zhang Shuping.

“Who are they?” Du ngen looked at Xie Wanying and the others in the office, showing so curiosity.

Being a doctor’s son, having visited his father’s workplace since childhood, he generally knew who his father worked with. His father was a professor; thus, it was unlikely that the students and junior doctors he ntored would be so young—at least in their twenties, like Doctor Zheng.

These two people seed about the sa age as himself. As Du ngen looked on and moved closer to get a better look at Xie Wanying and the others, there was a hint of wariness in his eyes, obviously on guard against potential competitive peers.

“I know who they are,” Zhang Shuping said, pulling his arm.

“Who?” Du ngen turned and asked.

“It’s that Dr. Xie who previously helped treat my grandmother and was admired by my uncle,” Zhang Shuping replied.

It seed that he had heard of such things. Du ngen adjusted his glasses: “What are they doing here at my dad’s? Working on a paper with him?”

Professors rely needed to guide, and wouldn’t have ti to teach an intern the basics.

It seed that his son’s chatter had knocked on the closed-off thought world of Du Haiwei. Du Haiwei turned and asked his son who was present: “What are you doing here?”

Interesting. The son asked why his dad’s students were there. The dad directly asked the son what he was doing there.

Du ngen said, “Shuping and I don’t have classes today, so we ca to visit you and help you with work.”

“Why don’t you have classes today?”

“There was supposed to be an observation class, but the clinical teacher said they didn’t have ti to take us, postponing it to next week. The counselor told us to study on our own. Studying on our own is so boring.”

Clinical dicine is a technical discipline, and it’s better to observe more and practice in a clinical setting than to just read books. Any smart student who seriously wants to study dicine understands this. How could Du ngen not seize the opportunity to learn from his father’s facilities?

It seems that children of doctors are all quite clever.

Du Haiwei wouldn’t reject his son’s desire to learn, saying, “Don’t cause any trouble.”

It’s okay to learn, but behave well.

Understood. Du ngen saluted his father on the spot.

Du Haiwei turned his head, unsure of what to say about this son. The son was young, lively, and had a personality more akin to his wife than to himself.

“Dad, what are you looking for? Do you need to call Doctor Zheng or Doctor Zuo?” Du ngen took out his phone, knowing he had an advantage in understanding his own father. These two junior doctors usually helped organize his father’s academic materials.

“No need.” Du Haiwei seed to have thought it through, and told them, “Put the files back. Get ready to go to the clinic.”

This morning, Teacher Du was heading to the outpatient clinic and had inford the departnt not to return to the ward for rounds yet.

The outpatient volu at a Class-A hospital is enormous, and there are long lines of patients in front of every famous doctor’s office. However, even among famous doctors, there are differences.
