Chapter 301: Joint Education by Several Teachers Chapter 301: Joint Education by Several Teachers “Eighty to ninety percent? Go to the dissection room now, and show . Let’s see how you perform eighty to ninety percent,” Teacher Tan’s eyes, beneath his brows, jabbed her face as if trying to puncture the mask of calm she was wearing.

He couldn’t understand why this student wasn’t scared at all.

With that thought, Teacher Tan’s eyebrows drew together tightly, his gaze as deep as if it had plumted into an abyss, “Let’s go.”

At his command, Xie Wanying watched the teacher walk out the door, then quickly followed behind.

They were supposedly heading to the hospital’s surgical specin room. Once inside, the pungent sll of formalin hit her nostrils, enough to make anyone sick, no matter where they were.

Looking up, she saw Teacher Tan pulling on gloves.

His hands were slender and strong, making a snapping sound as he pulled on the sterilized gloves—indicating even a cool person can have his angry days. He drew a breath between his lips as if to calm himself; he had truly not experienced such an emotional rollercoaster before. This student had thrown him off from day one and has always been able to easily trigger his nerves.

Who would’ve thought her to be so clever and bold, a natural-born surgeon.

The door squeaked as a head poked through the gap and said, “Teacher Tan, Teacher Fu said you’re free to do as you please here.”

“Thanks,” Teacher Tan responded.

Glancing at the face of senior Zhou Junpeng through the door crack, Xie Wanying was startled, only then noticing sothing amiss with the surroundings.

The hospital’s departnt specin room must be well-financed, far more upscale than that of the dical college. The four walls and ceiling had been newly renovated, with central air conditioning providing a gentle breeze; under the incandescent lights, a variety of tissue and organ specins floated eerily within glass jars: lungs, esophagus, diastinum, heart…

These weren’t specins from General Surgery Departnt Two, but from cardiothoracic surgery?

Had Teacher Tan made arrangents with Teacher Fu in advance to gang up on her?

Xie Wanying’s entire body tensed.

Zhou Junpeng, after closing the door, caught sight of her stiff posture and couldn’t help but laugh, thinking there finally ca a ti when she’d be afraid.

He had seen her fearless expression the previous night while performing a puncture, which was wholly unlike that of a human being—abnormal for a dical student. If she were an ordinary student, the teacher might just curse and let it be. Now, the teacher’s wish to “handle” her indicated she was no ordinary student; she could only accept Teacher Tan’s special “affection.”

“Put on your gloves,” Teacher Tan said icily, one word at a ti.

With a dry throat, Xie Wanying maintained her composure, found gloves on the table, and put them on her hands.

She was facing the nation’s top hospital, a leading deputy chief in surgery, and now she could clearly feel: he was not to be trifled with.

“Co here,” Teacher Tan instructed her.

The two of them then walked to the end of the specin room and pushed open a small door. The scent was even more acrid here, the room temperature had drop significantly—it was the dissection room.

A body donated by a patient lay in the middle, on the cold, unfeeling, stainless steel bed. The patient’s face was covered with a white cloth, and their body was draped with a white sheet.

Approaching, Teacher Tan lifted the upper half of the white sheet to reveal the patient’s chest and gave the directive, “Perform the puncture.”

A tray nearby was prepared with the necessary tools for pericardiocentesis.

Collecting her thoughts, Xie Wanying donned a mask, took the puncture needle in her right hand, swiftly attached the syringe, and then ran her fingers over the anatomical landmarks on the chest of the cadaver: the xiphoid process and the margin of the left rib arch.

Teacher Tan observed her actions, his brows furrowed tightly as if they hadn’t relaxed since this morning, his surgical knife-sharp gaze occasionally sizing up her cool and collected expression.

Puncture, once, twice, three tis… Without a word from the teacher to stop, Xie Wanying had no idea what Teacher Tan intended. All she could do was to continue performing each puncture ticulously, locating the landmarks, confirming the angle, and inserting the needle.
