Now reading: Chapter 1099 - 1099 633 Doing Business with God from Farming in a Parallel World and Becoming a God, a Fantasy novel by Eternal Night Knight.

1099: Chapter 633 Doing Business with God 1099: Chapter 633 Doing Business with God The nature of the Fine Gold Hamr could deceive others, but could never escape the eyes of a True God, not even at the first mont of a God Incarnation’s descent.

The Goddess of Strategy sensed the unusual nature of the Fine Gold Hamr and its reasons.

As for the chaotic ownership of the Death Clergy, this is no secret in Felen.

Throughout the history of Felen, there have been three Lords of the Dead, at least up to now.

The original Lord of the Dead and the deity of Death was nad Yego, a very ancient True God, whose specific identity is no longer known to anyone.

It is only known that he was once a mortal.

He did not fall as a god; he still exists today but serves as a supervisor of the Death Order, Tomb Guardian, keeper of Formal Funeral Rites, and the protector of the dead’s nas and Fatalism and other death-related Divine Positions, albeit with a Feeble Divine Power.

Originally tired of his duties, he actively stripped most of the Divine Positions, including that of the Lord of the Dead, from himself and handed them over to Milkau, Bal, and Bane to manage.

He then served as a Deity under Milkau, who mainly inherited the Office of the Dead.

If Yego’s possession of the Lord of the Dead Divine Position was through mystique, encouraging reverence and worship from mortals who do not understand death, then the second Lord of the Dead, Milkau, ruled through Fear, cultivating mortal fear and worship for death.

Along with Bal, the Lord of Murder, and Bane, the Lord of Darkness, they were known as the Dark Triad Spirit before The Year of Upheaval.

For thousands of years, their influence through fear ruled over Felen.

Their inflated desires led them to no longer be satisfied with Strong Divine Power, but to steal the Destiny Tablets, in an attempt to alter the laws of the entire Multiverse and of the Toril Plane, to make themselves the supre God of Gods.

This act thoroughly enraged the God of Gods, Ao, the creator and guardian of the Toril Plane.

He rebuked the neglect of divine responsibilities by all True Gods, casting them down from their God Kingdoms into the Toril Plane as Saints to find the Destiny Tablets, so they would no longer reign supre over mortals but rely on them for existence.

When mortals no longer worship or fear them, that will be the ti of their godly fall.

All this happened last year, in 1358 of the Valley Calendar, during which the series of upheavals that occurred ca to be known as The Year of Upheaval.

This all ended with the death of the three Gods of Death: Milkau, Bal, and Bane.

As for the death of the Magic Goddess Mistela, it was purely self-inflicted, disregarding the orders of Ao, attempting to return to her own God Kingdom before the Destiny Tablets were recovered.

She was killed by Heim, the Guardian God who loyally carried out his duties, and then was reborn in a different form, becoming the third generation Magic Goddess, Midnight.

The Divine Position of the Lord of the Dead fell into the hands of Shylock, the God of Conspiracy and Strife, becoming the third incarnation.

He is by far the least qualified of all the Lords of the Dead.

As ntioned before, a Divine Position is related to one’s personality; if it is incompatible, even if you have acquired the Divine Position, it will not be retained for long and will be stripped away due to neglect of duties.

In Shylock’s hands, the Lord of the Dead was rely a stepping stone, a tool to help him acquire the Divine Position of Conspiracy and Strife.

In fact, Conspiracy and Strife were just new tools for him, and in pursuit of greater power, he was even secretly crafting his own Supre Divine Artifact, the Hickric Scripture, venerating himself as the only True God worthy of worship in this world.

He was too greedy, handling too many unrelated Divine Positions at once – Murder, Strife, Lies, Conspiracy, Deception, Illusion Technique, Death, and the Deceased.

Any of his many Divine Positions could previously belong to a god with Strong Divine Power, let alone fused together again.

Before last year, he was just a mortal who suddenly gained such authority and power, swelling and indigestion were inevitable.

His entire focus was on his grand sches, his conspiracies, and his strife, leaving no energy to care for the matters of the deceased.

This neglect directly beca a new source of upheaval, causing great problems in the operation of the entire Pantheon of Faerun, countless souls that should have been guided away were not, and nurous souls escaped supervision, roaming in the Material Plane, leading to nurous conflicts and slaughters that should not have happened, causing countless unnecessary deaths.

This indeed brought Sexual Divine Power to his Strife Priesthood, but in the Divine Position of Death and the Office of the Dead, he was severely negligent.

Gaven acquired the Weizemay Manor, and through it cultivated the Undead Divine Spark, also on this grand premise.

Under normal circumstances, if the Divine Position of the Dead has an owner, and the Controller has strong control ability, it is not so easy to cultivate the Undead Divine Spark.

Even if it were to be cultivated, the other party would sense it imdiately through the Office of the Dead and would send a ssenger to retrieve it, because the Undead Divine Spark is a key, a fla that will shake the Undead Divine Position, which cannot be overemphasized.

So far, Shylock has taken no action, and the only explanation is that he simply cannot afford to care or has not sensed it.

The reason Gaven dared to make significant moves in this area is because he clearly knows this point.

He also knows that Shylock’s incompetence has greatly disappointed Yego, who has secretly abandoned him and is already re-selecting and training a new Lord of the Dead.

This person is none other than Kranwo, a powerful warrior who ventured together with Shylock and Midnight during The Year of Upheaval to retrieve the Destiny Tablets.

For the sake of power, Shylock betrayed both him and Midnight.
