The law departnt, organized by Darnell, the Judgnt Chief of the Hamr of the Holy Light Abbey, will reference the laws of Thacel and the Koer Kingdom, combining so existing customs and traditions of the Valley, to draft their own Battle Valley legislative bill.
This is also one of the main reasons for the friction and differences existing between the various Valley Fields. Although they all form part of the Valley, their political systems are vastly different; neither customs nor laws are the sa. Many of the Fields do not even possess their own laws, and Battle Valley is one such example; they resolve differences through ancient traditions.
Many of these ancient traditions, let alone being fair and just, are sotis absurd and ignorant. Much evil has arisen from these ancient traditions (such as the burning of witches), leading to frenzied and bloody revenges against the villagers of the past.
The Tyr Holy Warriors from the Monastery of the Hamr of Justice have the deepest understanding of this and can effectively avoid it.
Darnell, the Judgnt Chief, would certainly not refuse this, as it is a role they desperately seek.
As devoted believers of Tyr, the God of Just, their greatest mission is to propagate the concept of fairness and justice to the world. Is there a better tool than the law in this world?
With the constraints of the law, much unfairness and injustice will be nipped in the bud.
Indeed, many of Tyr’s doctrines and teachings can serve as a basis for law.
Novices of Tyr are instructed as follows, “Thou shalt reveal the truth, chastise criminals, correct wrongs, and thy actions shall always be true and just.”
Tyr and his followers are dedicated to the cause of justice, correcting wrongs, and enacting judgnts of righteous revenge.
This path may not always be as equal or fair as so might think of this illustrious deity, but the key lies in uncovering the truth and chastising the guilty.
The clergy of Tyr vow to uphold the law wherever they go, punishing those wronged by the law, and they must preserve their judgnts, contracts, and decisions.
There are also so Tyr Holy Warriors who are extrely radical, adhering to a black-and-white concept.
For such Holy Warriors, not to ntion that evil and gray people are intimidated when they see them, even many good people are not fond of them, as they would start a massacre over minor things that do not qualify as cris.
Even though the Monastery of the Hamr of Justice’s Just Hamr mbers are not of this kind, at least most are not, Gaven still won’t be careless. The law drafted for Battle Valley is only a draft and will be discussed and modified repeatedly by the people’s council before being implented.
As for the people’s council, it will be elected by all Battle Valley residents, striving to have immigrants and original residents each account for half, starting with at least a hundred people, encompassing elites from various sectors, to gather the widest range of opinions.
Internal affairs are to be chaired by Veranika, who will select suitable personnel and preside over various governntal affairs.
This choice, of course, carries Gaven’s deep intention. Not only is it to highlight his status as the Chosen of Lady Strategy, but it also indicates that, in the short term, the military governnt of Battle Valley will be heavily influenced by military developnts.
The reason is quite sufficient, naly, the defense against another attack by Cloud Giants from the Thunder Peak Mountain Range.
Earlier in Esebra Town, at the Multi-Valley Witness eting, Gaven and the others edited out parts, showing the Cloud Giants leading hundreds of fierce Flying Cavalry charging in, and the aftermath of retaliatory bombing by the Conqueror Army, leaivng a desolate scene to the Lords and councilors.
They not only obtained their forgiveness but also sounded a wake-up call for them.
Such a terrifying number of Flying Cavalry won’t be limited by terrain. Not only would the Mist Valley be within their harassing range, but even the Feather Wing Valley separated by several Fields would be unable to guarantee its safety.
Not to ntion full-scale assault, even if the enemy dispatched just one squad of Flying Cavalry to harass, they couldn’t handle it alone.
Yet to assemble a Flying Cavalry capable of countering them is neither affordable nor achievable in a short ti.
And the Conqueror Army, with such minimal losses, managed to repel them, indicating they have a very strong anti-aircraft capability, and forming an offensive-defensive alliance while establishing a mutually beneficial relationship is only natural.
Especially with the Sambiyan Kingdom as a common enemy, so interests align naturally.
The military aspect is to be led by Aidan, the Sword Master, as the General.
Though followers of Lady Strategy can excel in both civil and military domains, ensuring national stability and leading charges,
Tempus still holds the position of God of War for now, and it is irreplaceable in the short term. Lady Strategy is but a newly rising tactician under his command.
When it cos to leading charges, the followers of Tempus are the professionals.
Many tis, they don’t need to do anything; rely appearing on the battlefield boosts the soldiers’ morale, signifying that the God of War stands with them.
What Gaven values most are the combat experience and techniques of these followers of Tempus. Unlike those developed through adventures, Tempus’ followers focus more on military formations, and soldiers trained by them will see a substantial enhancent in this area.
Aidan’s main task is to train the troops.
Gaven also fulfilled an earlier promise, not only allocating over a thousand people to repair and modify the Sword Monastery, but also opening a road exclusively to this location, and stationing the military camp of four thousand Hobgoblin Wolf Cavalry around the area.
