Capítulo 1738: Chapter 845: Lightfolk Expeditionary Force (Part 3)

In a short period of ti, the number of the Expeditionary Force has already surpassed a thousand, and still continues to increase steadily.

The collision process can be described as utterly destructive.

Whether skeletons or zombies, not to ntion a hamr, even getting too close to the Lightfolk Expeditionary Force might result in disintegration without warning, turning into a pile of skeletal remains or corpses, because they continuously emanate the purest positive energy, which is a deadly poison to the undead.

Only those skeleton knights and mummies, those interdiate-level undead, can barely engage in a few rounds of confrontation with them, but the damage caused to the Lightfolk Expeditionary Force is quite limited.

The killers of these undead are usually the corpse poison, plague, instant death spells, energy absorption, or other negative energy effects they carry (such as causing spell damage and the touch of frost), which any of them would have an absolute advantage against ordinary creatures, and if hit, they would be either dead or crippled, greatly reducing combat effectiveness.

But against these, the Lightfolk are completely immune.

Their bodies are filled with pure positive energy, leaving no room for negative energy.

As ti progresses, the Lightfolk Expeditionary Force inevitably experiences casualties.

Positive energy undoubtedly has a cleansing effect on restraining negative energy, but in this process, a continuous consumption of their own is required.

When the guidance of positive energy lags significantly behind the impact and damage of negative energy on them, it will be their mont of death.

Yet those of the Lightfolk Expeditionary Force are fearless of death. Whenever they sense this mont approaching, they imdiately charge into the most densely concentrated areas of undead, shouting “For the Holy Light!”, then erupt explosively, intense positive energy bursting toward all directions, burying a few at least, and possibly dozens of undead along with them.

Simultaneously, a beam of light shoots into the sky, returning directly to the Positive Energy Plane.

Like most elental creatures, their death in the Material Plane is not a true death.

Their elental essence will return to the depths of their native plane, where they will reforge their bodies.

However, they are unable to continue participating in this war, as reforging their bodies requires ti, ranging from a few days, to tens or even dozens of days, depending on the Life Dice they possess (Life Dice/Day).

On the other hand, the undead army is continuous, seemingly endless, as if all the undead creatures of the Shadow Plane have been gathered here.

This is indeed the case.

The Dushan Witch is not burdened with as many reservations as Gaven and his team. After mastering the true nightmare, she has recklessly wielded its power like opening Pandora’s Box.

Whenever she senses shadow creatures dreaming around her, she directly pulls them over through the dream world.

The result is her undead army’s endless continuity at the sa ti, making the whole dream world increasingly bizarre and distorted, as it no longer just encompasses a single dream world, but includes the dream worlds of those shadow creatures, including shadow specters.

Their dream worlds differ vastly from those of ordinary people.

Especially the shadow specters, their dream worlds, rather than dreams, are more like mories preceding their death, infinitely solid in their soul mories, firr than mories, even less forgettable.

Under the leadership of the Light Spirit Witch, the Lightfolk Expeditionary Force discovers that the further they advance, the more distant they beco from the Shadow Totem Tree, until ultimately, it’s beyond sight.

“Light Spirit Master, don’t pursue any further, if you continue, you will completely lose yourselves in the depths of the Shadow Realm.” At so unknown ti, Gaven appears not far from the Light Spirit Witch, “Ladies and gentlen, please return, everything needs careful deliberation.”

“The depths of the Shadow Realm?” The Light Spirit Witch hears this and is startled, she can’t help but look back, and there’s no road she ca by.

The surroundings were endless darkness, those in the Lightfolk Expeditionary Force, whether it was their ability to guide positive energy or the light they emitted themselves, were severely suppressed, the surrounding environnt even more distorted, not a single living creature could be seen, occasionally seeing a tree, it too was pitch-black, parched dry, already withered and decayed beyond count for how many years.

They are not simply situated in the Shadow Realm; they have delved into the Dark Realm, birthplace to undead creatures, where in the Material Plane, corresponding areas are battlefields filled with ghosts, evil tombs, or strong necromancer dwellings.

Unlike ordinary creatures, she and the Lightfolk Expedition cannot use spells like the Shadow Walk Spell, to traverse between the Material Plane and Shadow Plane — as any shadow-type spell cast on them would be cleansed by the impact of positive energy.

They can only access through existing doors.

Once lost inside, there’s only one outco for them, being engulfed by the evil and darkness they loathe.

This is probably what the Dushan Witch wants to see, using the endless undead army to lure them deeper into the Shadow Realm.

“The aura of undead divinity!”

“He’s also a dark minion, he should be cleansed too!”

“For the Holy Light!”

Those of the Lightfolk Expeditionary Force, upon seeing Gaven, without thinking, swung the warhamr in hand fiercely towards him.

Gaven was prepared, imdiately retreating behind the Light Spirit Witch.

Though he hadn’t interacted with the Lightfolk before, he knew full well the disposition of these holy existences from the Outer Plane.

To put it nicely, they were justice-driven, intolerant of sand in the eyes.

To say it harshly, they were extre, categorizing people based on energy attributes, without considering a bit of causality, in their eyes, either black or white.

Therefore, on this mission to the Shadow Realm to deliver a ssage, he did not summon his Shadow Legion at all, as doing so would only invite greater trouble for himself.

Were it not for needing the War Ravager to help guide and locate them, he would have already put it away.
