Chapter 1981: Chapter 926: Father of Combat, Uthgar (Part 3)
“It’s a success, it actually worked.”
“What Heroic Spirits, Heroic Souls? This is clearly a Celestial Official, this is the Celestial Official conferring ceremony!”
“This is truly leaving your na in the annals of history, the Monunt of Heroic Spirits stands, and the Heroic Souls remain eternal.”
“I wonder if soday we might have the chance to join the Monunt of Heroic Spirits too?”
The scene before them caused the gathered Soaring Dragon People to buzz with excitent, disregarding the presence of a True God among them, they began to chat eagerly.
Many of them valued fa even more than power.
A person’s life is finite, but when their na begins to be passed down, it becos infinite.
But if there is a chance for immortality, both power and fa can be abandoned.
This Heroic Soul mode might be a thod of attaining everlasting life, just like those Celestial Officials of the Soaring Dragon.
“Chu Huai’an, who once served as the Renyong Colonel of the Soaring Dragon Dynasty’s frontier army, participated in the Tukan People’s wars three tis, decapitating thirteen enemies before unfortunately becoming a prisoner of war.
During the breakout battle at Tavelan City, he killed eight enemies, fought bravely to protect his comrades, and died heroically. He deserves to be inscribed on the monunt.”
“It’s General Chu Huai’an, it’s actually General Chu Huai’an, who would have thought we could et him again in such a way one day.”
“It’s really possible, we too can ascend this Monunt of Heroic Spirits, beco Heroic Souls here, beco Celestial Officials of this land.”
“No wonder they were previously collecting and verifying the deeds of those brave soldiers from various armies, it was for this preparation.”
“This… this is truly incredible, we must strive, strive to earn the qualification to ascend this monunt.”
If when Katherine recited those nas and deeds, it rely made these Soaring Dragon People excited and hopeful.
Then when Gaven started reciting nas and deeds, all the Soaring Dragon People were consud with uncontrollable excitent.
When even these outsiders could beco Heroic Celestial Officials of this land, were they still rely outsiders?
In this intangible way, their sense of belonging to this land significantly increased.
This is exactly what Gaven desired.
Inviting Uthgar to manifest didn’t take much ti, but inscribing those Heroic Souls’ nas onto the Monunt of Heroic Spirits took a full hour.
Besides the over three hundred Holy Strategists that Katherine initially designated, Gaven selected another five hundred brave Soaring Dragon People to join as exemplars.
At Weizemay Manor, there were thousands of Soaring Dragon People, including those from the Lake Asen skirmish and the Tavelan breakout battle.
As his dominion grew larger and larger, Gaven felt himself becoming increasingly ruthless.
When he first set foot on the Conqueror Path, he wished he could resurrect every fallen follower.
But now, resurrection is more of an incentive and reward, a rarity difficult for ordinary soldiers to attain.
The high cost of resurrection naturally has its reasons.
Every resurrection represents a disruption to the world’s natural order.
A few resurrections might be manageable, but a surplus could beco terrifyingly disruptive.
With the Monunt of Heroic Spirits, Gaven would not incorporate every fallen soul; they must have corresponding ritorious deeds.
Not to ntion those cowards who fled the battlefield, most unremarkable ordinary people couldn’t even qualify.
After all, Heroic Souls are not rely nas; they must provide guidance and assistance to newcors, requiring a corresponding level of ability.
Once all the Heroic Spirits’ nas were inscribed, Gaven and Katherine approached the Divine Nature Incarnation of Uthgar.
During the ti they were recording nas, Uthgar only silently observed without leaving.
“Greetings to the Father of Combat, thank you for granting our request.” Both greeted and paid respects to this rugged True God.
“This is my sacred duty, you have broadened my Divine Path.” Uthgar’s voice was as always full of masculinity, staring directly at Gaven, “Are you interested in becoming one of my Chosen?”
This True God’s manner of doing things was like a storm.
Gaven apologized, “Thank you for the Father of Combat’s kindness, but please allow to refuse. My philosophy in action is bound to not bring you glory, only contradiction.”
In theory, one could indeed be the Chosen of more than one True God.
As long as those True Gods didn’t mind and were willing to bless the sa person, they could beco double or even multiple Chosen.
While double Chosen are not common, they exist, sotis purposefully created to signify cooperation between two True Gods, highly representative in certain areas.
Currently, the most famous double Chosen on the Felen Continent is nad Kielu Viladoren, she is both the Chosen of the Magic Goddess and Elistraee.
She also holds another identity, the youngest and most mysterious of the Seven Sisters, a Dwarves Elf.
For multiple Chosen, a major premise is that there is no conflict between the Divine Positions of the blessing True Gods.
Otherwise, one can only choose between them.
Now Uthgar and Lady Strategy present such a case.
Uthgar admires a life of savagery and wild combat, utterly disdainful of civilization and magic.
Lady Strategy emphasizes strategy and planning.
The two are fundantally irreconcilable.
Speaking broadly.
Narrowing it down, Gaven is also an Arcane Adept, whose mind and spells are opposed to Uthgar, if he were to beco his Chosen, he would inevitably be forced into becoming a Barbarian or Shaman.
“Such a promising talent wasted.” Uthgar sighed in regret, without a trace of anger at the rejection, and instead asked, “Strength or Constitution, choose one.”
“Constitution.” Gaven instantly replied.
Although the other spoke succinctly, he understood the implied aning.
This was clearly intended to grant him Divine Blessing, enhancing his body.
Uthgar mainly holds two Divine Positions, one pertains to the Uthgar Barbarians, which is a racial deity, and the other refers to Physical Power.
Many Barbarians and warriors offer their faith to him for this reason.
His blessings naturally do not extend beyond these realms.
If it were possible, Gaven would indeed wish to choose both, after all, no one would mind their body becoming stronger, especially with his unique nature and profession; how powerful his Shapeshifter transformations are, still relates to physicality.
Given a choice of two, Gaven naturally prioritized boosting his Constitution.
Not only because it has a broad applicability but also because it unlocks a legendary skill waiting for activation.
