263: Chapter 210 Inventory Harvest_1 263: Chapter 210 Inventory Harvest_1 “Co on, let’s go to your battleground and have a look.
I’m very keen to know whether you’ve found anything else over there.” Lord Virginia now considered Gaven to be a walking lucky star, for the loot on him was so extraordinary.
As the old lair of the Foul Giants and the Corruption Dragon Oak Mother Tree, there was bound to be plenty of great stuff at the battlefield.
Virginia grabbed Gaven’s hand and activated a teleportation spell, appearing inside the Dark Cavern.
Their close-range communication had been rather lengthy, and by the ti they returned to the battleground,
the battlefield had mostly been cleaned up; the bodies of Foul Giants, Cyclops, and Dark Servants were piled up together.
They didn’t rush to set fire to them.
Firstly, as this was an enclosed space, lighting a fire would create a horrendous stench that would make it unbearable for anyone to stay.
Secondly, although these bodies were of dark attributes, their souls had been vanquished and the corruption power cleansed from them.
The air was filled with a huge amount of life energy, leaving no place for dark energy to conceal itself, virtually eliminating the possibility of them causing trouble.
Of course, if left unattended and thrown out of the Dragon Oak Mother Tree’s body, these bodies would certainly turn into zombies.
As for treasures, they found none.
This group of Foul Giants were re paupers with not a single gold coin on them, their equipnt worn and tattered.
Except for the legitimate magic items crafted for the Prince’s hand, only the Necromancer Shaman’s oversized vine whip was worth a glance; the rest of the Foul Giants used rudintary wooden clubs.
If the master was in such a state, how much better could those Cyclops and Dark Servants, who served as minions, possibly be?
They had already gathered information about this Foul Giant vanguard from those three Cyclops.
This Foul Giant nad Prince Elton, due to his own ambitions, had been exiled here.
Naturally, he wouldn’t be equipped with many elites, all being a group of Foul Giants and servants who were not valued in the Black Mirror Kingdom.
If there were any treasures, it wasn’t entirely none.
At least the Deford Golden Crown was no ordinary item, and the oversized pipe also had an air of mystery.
Gaven chose to start with the most ordinary item, the Necromancer Shaman’s oversized vine whip.
Lord Virginia rely glanced at the vine whip, without even bothering to identify it, and said directly, “It’s the Touch of Agony, standard issue for the Foul Giant Necromancer Shamans, woven from dark vines that have been fed with blood, darkness, and rage.
Its main function is to amplify a person’s pain when lashed upon them.
Being hit by it twice in succession would cause trembling, thrice would lead to collapsing in convulsions, and five tis, it can directly extract the soul from the body.”
“Though a bit nefarious, if used properly, it still has powerful effects.
At the very least, as an interrogation tool, it’s suitable.” Gaven handed over Touch of Agony to Thornspike.
He and the Twilight Guardian were the only ones who could use it, but the latter’s body shape wasn’t exactly conducive to using weapons, let alone such an exotic weapon.
The second item identified by Lord Virginia was the oversized battle axe.
The attributes of this battle axe were simple and practical, with only a 2 enhancent to attacks, and a sharp cleaving feature.
Anything or any creature hit by it could easily be cleaved apart, and during a heavy hit, a fiery explosion would occur inside the enemy’s body, causing an internal explosion with damage ranging from 3 to 30.
Previously, Thornspike had lost nearly half its life energy to a single axe blow, which speaks volus about its formidable power.
The enormous battle axe, without a doubt, still belonged to Thornspike’s use, as only he could wield the power it was ant to possess.
The third item was the Deford Golden Crown.
Lord Virginia rely glanced at it from a distance, not even approaching, and said, “This is a deford artifact exclusive to the Foul Giants.
To transform it into a magic item that we can use, it must be purified with a specialized Ritual Array.
It’s impossible to do so here, we must take it back to the Dragon Oak Dragon Nest.
I will prepare accordingly, but you should brace yourself for the possibility of failure.”
“And what about this one?
Also a deford artifact?
I didn’t feel any evil aura from it,” Gaven pointed towards the enormous smoking pipe held by the Twilight Guardian.
“Breath of the Black Mirror.” Lord Virginia took a Fairy Step directly to the Twilight Guardian’s side, touching and examining the large pipe without any hesitation, “Indeed, it is the Breath of the Black Mirror.
I didn’t expect these wretched ghosts to still possess a war artifact from the Black Mirror Kingdom.
Such special equipnt, only five of its kind exist in the Black Mirror Kingdom, and they cannot be replicated by ordinary ans.”
“What’s the significance?” Gaven clearly felt the excitent emanating from Lord Virginia’s words, stemming not only from its rarity but also because its capture would weaken the strength of the Black Mirror Kingdom.
“Speaking of this piece of equipnt, one cannot help but ntion the enemy we faced this ti,” Lord Virginia postured for a lengthy discussion.
Gaven also prepared to listen attentively, with the fates of their two lands tightly intertwined, sharing both glory and loss alike.
The enemies of Lord Virginia were his own.
Lord Virginia, however, did not imdiately begin but instead asked, “Have you ever heard of the Enchanted Realm?”
“The Enchanted Realm?
The Ancient Evil Enchanted Realm?” Gaven suddenly changed color.
In Felen, the na “Ancient Evil” alone signified a fearful existence.
Their origins and abilities were mostly unknown.
What was known was that they possessed bodies that could not die, at least the gods themselves could not kill them but could only seal them away.
And the Enchanted Realm was one such existence.
It was said to form when the native Guardian Spirit, along with its natural landscape, beca corrupted by dark power, creating a fairy of the region.
A barren mountain range, a lonely canyon, a secluded lake, a dark and deep cavern, a fertile field, a massive teorite, or even a small, complete planet, etc.
All of these could beco an Enchanted Realm.
The Enchanted Realm itself was the greatest source of corruption, enslaving and corrupting the creatures living upon it.
The Foul Giants themselves were adept at corruption.
Gaven couldn’t help but speculate, “Are you implying that the Black Forest, where the Black Mirror Kingdom is located, is an Ancient Evil Enchanted Realm?”
“You’re only half right,” answered Lord Virginia.
“Originally, the Black Forest wasn’t called Black Forest; it was a part of the Spring Bud Forest.
It didn’t beco an Enchanted Realm; rather it was used by the great Druids of the Court of Sumr as a prison.
Utilizing the residents and soldiers who lived there as sacrifices, they contained and sealed it within, and the Foul Giants of the Black Mirror Kingdom revered it as their deity, naming their Kingdom after it, incessantly trying to break the seal and release the Enchanted Realm.”
Lord Virginia spoke simply, yet Gaven discerned a thick scent of bloodshed in his words.
The soldiers and residents who were sacrificed were clearly not volunteers; they likely were coerced during the war, among them perhaps relatives of Lord Virginia, possibly even his parents or siblings.
No wonder Lord Virginia’s expression and speech turned so peculiar when he ntioned the Court of Sumr and the Druids.
From a broader perspective, the choices they made for the Fairy Wilderness, the Court of Sumr, and the remaining residents of Spring Bud Forest were correct.
Should an Ancient Evil have free rein, the destruction it could cause might be apocalyptic, especially if Foul Giants, compatible in nature, served as its minions.
But on a personal level, the thought of using your own brothers and sisters for such a deed is unbearable.
Gaven finally understood why Lord Virginia was so exhilarated when the Dragon Oak Mother Tree entered a state of war.
Against an Ancient Evil like the Enchanted Realm, regular warti tactics were futile; only a terrifying existence like the Dragon Oak War Giant Tree had a chance of success.
Just a sliver of hope at best.
What the ultimate combat power of the Dragon Oak War Giant Tree could be, remained a mystery to all.
If it were just Foul Giants in question, as long as the tree could move, they could wait for their collapse, the only option being to retreat back to their Dark Domain.
However, when facing the Ancient Evil of the Enchanted Realm, Gaven had no idea of the potential outco.
It seed Lord Virginia saw through Gaven’s thoughts but chose not to elucidate, instead turning the conversation back to the pipe in his hands, saying, “Breath of the Black Mirror is created from extracting the essence of the Enchanted Realm’s breath, and there are three levels to it.
One breath causes the body to petrify, entering a state of suspended animation, while the soul can freely enter and leave the Ether Dreamland.
Two breaths allow the person to revive with a petrified body, fighting like a Golem for an hour, then remaining petrified for ten days.
Three breaths revive soone in an Earth Steel Alloy Body to fight until death, but their soul will beco part of the Enchanted Realm, unable to be resurrected, not even by the gods themselves, unless the Enchanted Realm is slain.”
When speaking of the third breath, Gaven couldn’t help but recall Prince Elton’s final display; he was practically a terrifying machine of war, and had it not been for the Dragon Oak Mother Tree breaking free and transforming into its war state to blast him to oblivion.
Him overthrowing Thornspike and the Twilight Guardian was only a matter of ti.
But the cost was severe, his soul beca fodder for the Ancient Evil, and resurrection seed an impossibility.
The effects of one breath and two breaths were also significant.
They had previously sent Foul Giants and Cyclopes to support the Dragon Oak Dream Realm, relying on the power of the first breath.
As for the second breath, they had not yet had the chance to witness it, but they believed it to be the most commonly used ans, as a petrified body certainly could not compare to an alloy body, but the cost was relatively smaller.
If a large number of Foul Giants or Cyclopes used the second breath on the battlefield, the resulting impact and lethality would be terrifying.
Lord Virginia must have witnessed this much to care so deeply about this tool and to know so much about it.
A thought struck Gaven, and pointing to the alloy body left behind by Prince Elton, he said to the Twilight Guardian, “Could you use it to rebuild your body?”
The shimring luster and properties revealed by the first and second breaths made Gaven feel it was no ordinary alloy, leaning more towards a highly condensed Earth Elent while earth and stone were crucial components of the Twilight Guardian’s very being.
This question caused everyone present to pause in astonishnt.
Clearly, they had not considered this before, including the Twilight Guardian himself.
“I’ll give it a try,” said the Twilight Guardian without hesitation as he moved forward, transforming into a pile of earth and stone, then slowly writhed until he covered Prince Elton’s leftover Earth Steel Alloy Body.
Prince Elton’s indestructible body, which not even Thornspike’s oversize battle-axe could shatter, began to twist and change under the sluggish movent.
It was like adding brine to tofu.
In just a few short minutes, the Twilight Guardian stood up once more.
The alloy body of Prince Elton had vanished, replaced by an ordinary pile of earth and stone.
The appearance of the Twilight Guardian had undergone significant changes.
Especially the head, it had transford into a tallic dragon head of earthen gray, with contours for eyes, nose, and mouth, and even teeth that could move—teeth so sharp they resembled razors, clearly capable of biting and gnawing.
All the dragon scales on his body had turned to the sa earthen gray tallic dragon scales.
The claws, now fully tallic, were exceedingly sharp.
The wings alone, using the earthen gray tal as a fra with vines interwoven and dots of vibrant life energy, while the edges were all sharpened blades, were a force to reckon with, capable of shredding several layers of skin with a single brush.
If the Twilight Guardian stood still, the uninitiated would surely mistake him for a unique tallic dragon statue.
Gaven imdiately accessed the Twilight Guardian’s attributes.
