340: Chapter 281 Two Shots Per Person_1 340: Chapter 281 Two Shots Per Person_1 The Dwarves Vampire Mage had not taken two steps before the sound of a harp reached his ears from behind, and all the images surrounding him instantly disappeared.

Dispel Magic.

The one who had just acted was the Transcendent Bard Regina.

Removing magical effects on an enemy was often the highest priority.

Take the Mirror Image Spell, for example.

It was only a second-level Spell.

If it were not dispelled, Thornspike’s formidable close combat ability—a treant’s—would be mostly wasted.

That’s because among the six figures, only one was the true body, with the remaining figures being indistinguishable illusions that could rge and split at will.

And they would mimic the true body’s every movent in perfect synchrony.

When Thornspike brought his axe down, there was only a one in six chance of hitting the true body.

If an image was hit, it would naturally shatter on the spot, and the next attack would have a one in five chance of hitting the mark.

But for the Mage, it was just a matter of using a third-level spell, Dispel Magic.

Snap!

Just as the magical confrontation took place, two Treants positioned themselves.

The first to strike was Black Nanmu, whose whip ca down in a horizontal sweep, sealing off the Dwarves Vampire Mage’s retreat and landing a direct hit, wrapping around his waist and hurling him towards Thornspike.

Ao!

The Dwarves Vampire Mage let out a shrill scream, so piercing that it cracked.

It was filled with boundless terror.

That was because an oversized battle axe twice his height was coming down on him.

He had no doubt that if the weapon hit him, he would either be split in two on the spot or turned into a pulp.

Even as a vampire with terrifying regenerative abilities, he needed ti to recover, during which his enemies could kill him several tis over.

With a thud.

The Dwarves Vampire Mage exploded into a cloud of blood mist.

Boom!

Thornspike’s gigantic axe cleaved through the blood mist and struck the ground with a heavy impact.

Dirt and stone flew, carving a deep pit several feet deep at the spot, showing the terrifying force behind the strike.

Even a large tree thick enough for a person to embrace would likely be cleaved in half, let alone a being of flesh and blood.

But attacking a vampire in their blood mist form, of course, had no effect.

In this state, vampires were immune to all non-magical damage.

However, vampires were reluctant to enter this state unless absolutely necessary, as it ant they would lose all ability to resist, including speech, and could only move at a pitifully slow pace.

The problem was, there were more than one enemies on the scene.

Especially that Transcendent Yaling Mage, who was his biggest concern.

That guy seed to possess the ability to foresee his every move, trapping him thoroughly.

This ti was no exception.

Along with a loud bang.

A bolt of lightning struck down from the sky, fiercely hitting the blood mist form of the vampire.

Sixth-level spell: Chain Lightning.

The rampant power of the lightning wildly darted through the blood mist, instantly vaporizing and dissipating a large portion of it.

The problem, though,

Was that the Dwarves Vampire Mage dared not revert from his blood mist state.

The peculiar-looking Treant had already hoisted his terrifying axe again, waiting for him to return to physical form.

All he could do now was endure the onslaught of magic, leveraging his transcendent self-healing abilities to recover while attempting to escape.

The parts of his blood mist dispersed by the Chain Lightning slowly reconverged.

This mysterious ability spoke to the vampire’s horrifying regenerative powers.

They were masters of controlling blood, capable of reclaiming their spilled blood as if it were an inseparable part of their bodies.

Fortunately, he thought to himself.

None of them were Paladins or Priests, who could counteract his regenerative abilities with holy spells; otherwise, his plight would have been worse.

The next second, the Dwarves Vampire Mage realized he may have been grateful a bit too soon.

A dazzling radiance burst forth in the center of the blood mist.

Radiance Burst.

This was not a spell but a Special Ability bestowed by Dawn of Spring upon reaching Professional Level fifteen through Resonance with the Fairy Wilderness and Virginia.

Normally, the main effect of this Special Ability was to blind.

To flood the enemy’s eyes with a sudden burst of light, causing temporary blindness.

But when faced with a vampire, this ability was not so simple.

So of the blood mist that had just been gathered was again scattered widely.

The most alarming part was that the blood mist affected by the radiance would temporarily lose its vitality and couldn’t reconverge for a short period, temporarily suppressing its regenerative abilities.

It wasn’t that Gaven and the others had carelessly forgotten to include Priests or Holy Warriors in their ranks; they simply weren’t necessary.

Trampling.

It was a one-sided trampling.

The Dwarves Vampire Mage fully experienced the helplessness and despair faced by those intelligent beings when confronted by others like him.

All they could do was shiver in the terror and darkness they spread.

The problem was,

At least those intelligent beings had a sacred place called ho where they could cling on for survival.

He did not even have such a sanctuary now.

While desperate to surrender and beg for rcy, he couldn’t even speak in his blood mist form.

Nor did he dare to return to his physical form recklessly, for his opponents might not give him the chance to speak.

“Dispel Isolation.” Virginia regretfully dispelled the Isolation Spell on Gaven.

This Dwarves Vampire Mage was too weak, an excellent trap and he couldn’t even make use of it.

If the Dwarves Vampire Mage knew Virginia’s thoughts, he would be absolutely heartbroken and enraged.

Your strength as a Yaling Noble, a Lord of Fairy Wilderness, is hardly any less than his.

Between the attack of the Treants and the siege by the Transcendent Bard, the fact that he could hold out until now was already a sign of imnse prowess.

If it were any ordinary being, they would have been crushed into a pulp by Thornspike’s battle axe long ago.

The mont Gaven opened his eyes.

A tsunami of shock surged in the heart of the Dwarves Vampire Mage.

It was him; it turned out to be him.

The Blaspher who had the Goddess of Undead Vengeance issue a Kill Order against him.

With that realization, everything made sense.

This Blaspher was deliberately targeting the Goddess of Undead Vengeance.

He had just thwarted one of her plans to restore her God Kingdom, and now he was here to disrupt her plan to reclaim her Divine Nature.

The despair in the Dwarves Vampire Mage’s heart deepened.

How powerful must one be to sabotage the plans of the Goddess of Undead Vengeance?

Completely killing a vampire wasn’t an impossible task.

“Ah…

how can this be?

Have rcy…” the Dwarves Vampire Mage let out a cry of incredible despair.

He had sohow returned to a material state from a mist of blood.

But this wasn’t sothing he did voluntarily; he was forced.

A cold little hand was tightly gripping his arm.

He had only heard of soone forcing a vampire into a mist state but never of soone who could pull a misty vampire directly back into a material state.

Without a doubt, this was the work of the Earthbound Spirit Amanda.

Not only could she transform between material and spiritual body states, but any object she grasped would also undergo the change between the two states along with her.

The blood mist of the Dwarves Vampire Mage was a special spirit form, which was also affected.

Boom!

The pleas of the Dwarves Vampire Mage were muffled by a blast that ended his life before he could finish speaking.

Death Roar blew his head to smithereens.

Death Roar was the nickna given to the Revolving Hand Cannon, the Spirit Crystal Servant’s second form.

This nickna wasn’t created by Gaven but by the Dwarves Bound Wraiths of Weizemay Manor; when it began its roar, death was imminent.

Gaven thought the na was very poetic and apt, so he adopted it.

The vampire demonstrated a terrifying life force and regenerative ability.

Even with his head blown apart, he was still not dead.

Flesh began to rapidly grow back, and in just a few minutes, a new head would probably sprout.

That is, if he had the ti.

With a Fairy Step, Gaven flashed in front of the Dwarves Vampire Mage.

Death Roar pressed against where his heart would be and let out a second roar.

Not only had Gaven’s Dwarves Elf Armor been torn open, leaving a huge gash, but even the flesh and ribs on his chest were peeled back, revealing the pulsating heart within.

Vampires may look like they did in life, but in reality, their internal structure had already undergone trendous changes.

The rest of the digestive system had nearly withered away, and the heart had beco incredibly large, more than triple its original size.

It served not only as its functional system but also as its stomach.

The fresh blood ingested would be directly pumped into it, acting as fuel.

Its position had also shifted, no longer on the left side, but right in the center.

The ribs were thick and dense, resembling bone plate armor that tightly guarded the heart.

This was why to pierce the heart of a vampire, a stake was necessary.

In fact, to kill a vampire, all that was required was for a wooden piercing weapon to penetrate its heart.

However, if the piercing weapon was as thin as a wooden spear, it would be difficult to break through the bony chest armor, while a stake, being sufficiently blunt, could do so more easily.

Over ti, under circumstances of rumor begetting rumor, it beca accepted that only a stake through the heart could kill a vampire.

Gaven, having successfully breached the vampire’s multiple defenses, thrust the wooden spear in his hand directly into the vampire’s heart.

This spear was newly fashioned from the trunk of a Black Nanmu tree.

Though called a spear, it was actually a slightly pointed round stick, two and a half ters long, with a dark hue and an icy touch, clearly saturated with negative energy.

Upon piercing the vampire’s heart, the wooden spear gave the illusion of coming to life, as if it were a gluttonous diner greedily drawing energy from the vampire’s heart.

Bloodlines spread up from the point of insertion.

When they reached the top, the blood color began to fade, gradually turning to silver.

A wail of agony and despair emanated from the vampire’s heart and then it beca visible to the naked eye: withering, decaying, turning into a foul-slling stew as the vampire’s regeneration ca to a complete stop.

The spear that fell from the midst was covered in mysterious silver patterns, filled with the glow of magic, clearly not an ordinary item.

In Gaven’s expression was an unmistakable sense of pride.

He had known that killing a vampire with a spear made from Black Nanmu would certainly induce extraordinary changes.

A normal wooden stake that killed a vampire would imprison its life essence, forming the infamous Vampire Stake, which was even more lethal when used against other vampires.

Not to ntion, Black Nanmu itself had a unique soul-binding effect.

While a spear made from its branches might not fully inherit this ability, it was sure to possess greater strength in this aspect than an ordinary stake.

Before Gaven could assess the newly forged spear’s attributes,

the Dwarves Vampire warrior who had attacked the granary had already turned into a mist of blood and struggled to escape.

The battle there was also drawing to a close.

The vampire derivatives led by the Vampire warrior, in an attrition war, had ultimately been unable to overco the five Paladins.

That was because a Transcendent Priest was hidden deep within the granary, who, when he chose to strike, did so with spells that were profoundly effective against vampires.

After several rounds of exhaustion, the Vampire warrior was left isolated.

Surrounded by two Transcendent Paladins in a frenzied pounding, he was forced into a mist form to escape.

When severely injured, a vampire would not die but instead turn into this kind of blood mist and flee back to its resting place, where it would regenerate in its coffin.

This ability was not found in vampire derivatives.

The Dwarves Vampire mage confronting Gaven and his group hadn’t had any opportunity to enter such a state.

The Dwarves Vampire warrior did enter this state, but just as it managed to escape, it ran into Gaven’s fierce group and tried to flee.

But Amanda was even faster, leaping directly into the blood mist, pulling it back into its material form.
