845: Chapter 548: Rush to Board_2 845: Chapter 548: Rush to Board_2 The three sailboats at the Petrified Lizard’s Nest, although enveloped by the No-Fly Zone, prohibited flight magic or capabilities reliant on wings but not the pure physical inertial power of leaping.
Even flight was not feasible unless it was like the Flying Spell, entirely dependent on magic power, with no inherent flight capabilities, otherwise, those with wings could glide until they safely landed.
However, without the right key, re-launching was impossible.
Many Hobgoblin Giants simply stepped over the edge, heading directly toward where the slave sailors were most concentrated.
The consequences of being trampled by them were unspeakable; their re weight could crush an adult to near death, not to ntion, the large weapons they wielded were not for show.
Before landing, their weapons swung full circle and at the mont of impact, their most lethal attack would be unleashed.
“Hobgoblin Giants, those are from the Giant Plains, they are from the Conqueror Army!”
“Damn, isn’t the Conqueror Army besieging Efanso?
Why have they co to Ilip, attacking us at sea?”
“Run, run fast, we can’t hold them back.”
“Stop, everyone stop!
If anyone dares retreat, I will show no rcy.
Even if the Conqueror Army is powerful, they are only so on land, they couldn’t have brought their entire army.
They’ve only sent a few Elites, we still have a chance to win, killing one lessens their number.”
“Don’t be foolishly hopeful.
That Conqueror, Gaven, is a relentless executioner who particularly despises our kind.
If we fall into his hands, we will be brutally maid.
We fight not for the Petrified Lizards’ people now, but for ourselves.
Follow and fight.”
“Just because they are bigger, you’re scared like this?
Look how pathetic you are.
Do you think you’re the only ones who can enlarge?
Watch —Enlarge.”
When the Hobgoblin Giants started their attack, the slave traders realized who was attacking them.
Instantly, the deck was thrown into chaos, filled with those who fled in terror and others who bravely advanced; still others instantly used magic to transform themselves into Giants matching the Hobgoblin Giants in size, directly confronting them.
However, those who did the latter often died the fastest.
Before the Hobgoblin Giants landed, the first to descend was the Fireball Technique.
Although Gaven and his n aid to capture the three-masted sailboat, it did not an they would refrain from using so of their tactics.
The ship was not theirs until it officially fell into their hands, and it would be a real disadvantage if they, due to greed, withheld any tactics.
The slave traders, too, possessed ample combat experience.
Seeing the crimson fireballs, they imdiately shouted, scattering in different directions, so ducking low or curling up behind various obstacles.
The situation where a Fireball Technique could wipe out half a squad only happened with naïve new recruits.
Among battle-hardened veterans, it generally had little effect; even those directly hit could effectively use their shields, armor, or their tough skin to block most of the fiery blast.
Very few were actually killed by the Fireball Technique.
On the battlefield, the Fireball Technique often played a tactical role.
As everyone dodged the Fireball Technique, the first wave of Hobgoblin Giants safely landed on the deck.
They didn’t attack imdiately but sprang toward taller constructions, using them to shield their backs, bracing for a fierce counterattack from the opponents.
Before reinforcents arrived, they would face attacks from all directions alone.
Gaven, leading by example, was mixed among these Hobgoblin Giants, a notably conspicuous figure not because of his size—he had cast Enlarge on himself and now stood taller than most Hobgoblin Giants—but because he was the only one in armor.
His myriad tactics ant he didn’t worry about drowning; his Combat Armor was suprely suited to such a lee.
He had neither activated his Transcendant Body nor used Death Roar but held two Serpent Hilt Curved Swords known to co from the Six-ard Snake Demon—the most potent in her arsenal, both 5 Magic Weapons.
One nad Abyssal Fla Burst and the other Abyssal Frost Burst.
Both possessed Sharp attributes, equivalent to the Keen Edge Spell, making the blades incredibly sharp.
A cut would not only be deeper but likely sever limbs or neck if it hit such critical joints, causing crippling damage.
Fla Burst and Frost Burst had basically the sa effect but with opposing attributes.
Upon the user’s command, they would wrap in flas or frost that didn’t harm the wielder.
Hitting an enemy caused an additional 1D6 damage; a critical hit leading to a massive Fla Burst or Frost Burst inflicted trendous 3D10 additional damage.
The power of the Six-ard Snake Demon is inseparable from the weapons she wielded.
Each of these weapons, valued at a minimum of a hundred thousand Gold Coins in the market, were almost priceless.
Combat Profession Practitioners would clamor for them; even Gaven coveted them and unapologetically borrowed them.
When summoning the Six-ard Snake Demon to aid, he would return them; their absence hardly affected her combat capabilities otherwise.
