The so-called Bleached Earth was an enormous plan devised by Marisbury in order to achieve Human Order Preservation.
Judging purely from the outco, it was indeed beneficial for humanity.
Even if New Chaldea did nothing, once the Fantasy Trees finished growing, Chaldeas would dispatch U-Olga Marie.
With overwhelming power, she would harvest the seven Lostbelts.
All of that energy would then be gathered by Chaldeas to complete the ultimate form of Astromancy Magecraft.
By seizing the energy of the observable universe within 13.8 billion light-years, the foundation of human order would continue permanently.
It truly was a great undertaking.
It truly was for the sake of humanity.
But doing so would effectively strip away the right to exist from any other life that might exist in the universe. It would even erase the possibility of other worlds that might have existed.
It would make this world, the human order of this single planet, the only prosperous existence within 13.8 billion light-years of the universe.
A universe drained of its energy would no longer be able to prune this world in return.
"You're trying to tell us that everything is already settled. And that we, the remnants of Chaldea and survivors of the old Proper Human History, should lay down our resistance and submit now. Only then would we have the right to go to Chaldeas and take part in the new Proper Human History you plan to create?"
Morgan stared coldly at the celestial sphere, not even sparing Marisbury a glance.
"Exactly so. You should understand your own position, King of the Britannia Lostbelt. Accept this result, and you may continue to exist as part of the new Proper Human History."
Marisbury spoke calmly.
"According to our projections, allowing you—who have already obtained divinity—to rule the new world would be extrely beneficial... the sa goes for that Nordic goddess as well."
Marisbury... or rather, Chaldeas, was offering an extrely generous condition.
There was no deception in it.
If they accepted, sacrifices could indeed be avoided.
"Then how do you plan to clear humanity of the disgrace of being called 'the most notorious lifeform within 13.8 billion light-years'?" Shiomi demanded.
"Humanity will be the only lifeform that exists and prospers within the observable universe. As the new foundation of human order develops, the observable universe will continue to expand," Marisbury replied.
Morgan let out a cold laugh.
"So you never cared about that reputation from the beginning. That really is the kind of thinking only a Magus would have."
"There's no need to continue this discussion. And there's no need for you to keep imitating human behavior just to negotiate with us here," Shiomi said.
"Besides, whether it cos from your calculations or from the side effects of simulating Marisbury's personality, the attitude you just showed has revealed one fact."
"Oh?"
Marisbury responded lightly.
"If your so-called plan were already complete, then the most rational course would have been to erase us—the New Chaldea group—the mont we arrived here. That would be the fastest and most efficient outco."
Shiomi pointed directly at Marisbury.
"But you didn't do that. Which ans the final stage has only just begun, and we are the ones most likely to interfere with it."
Morgan, anwhile, kept her eyes fixed on Chaldeas.
What human senses could not reach was not necessarily beyond the perception of a god.
"That is an extrely foolish conclusion," Marisbury said calmly.
"Even after entering an entirely new phase, whether human or fairy, once one becos a god, the inertia of the past cannot be erased."
As he spoke, Chaldeas suddenly began to emit abnormal fluctuations.
"That was not negotiation. It was a rational judgnt based on the preservation of human order. Humanity, having lost its gods, wandered for two thousand years without finding the most stable path. If guided by gods born in this new era such as yourselves, the preservation of human order would gain an unshakable guarantee."
Shiomi imdiately grasped Morgan's hand.
The two rged into the Unity God.
"Since you know we have already beco gods, you should also understand that Chaldeas is within reach."
Morgan's eyes glowed with a deep azure light as she prepared to halt Chaldeas' actions.
"You may indeed be capable of opposing Chaldeas and this new human order. But the others cannot."
Marisbury raised his hand.
"Eliminate the unstable elents that threaten the foundation of human order. Complete the preservation of human order. A new chapter of human history begins at this mont."
The simulated personality had been reproduced to an unsettling degree.
Both Shiomi and Morgan felt a faint sense of discomfort.
Marisbury lacked humanity to such an extent that it felt less like Chaldeas speaking, and more like listening to the Magus himself delivering his declaration.
But at this mont, such details hardly mattered.
Just as Chaldeas had announced, the Unity God could maintain its own existence.
But their companions aboard the Storm Border could not.
The entire Antarctic began to destabilize.
The replacent between the celestial sphere and the Earth had already begun. Those remaining in Antarctica would be fixed onto the celestial sphere during the exchange, unable to escape.
Shiomi could not be certain whether the Unity God possessed the ability to freely move between the celestial sphere and the surface of the Earth.
Even if it were possible, this was not the place to gamble on it.
No one knew what might happen during the replacent process.
The celestial sphere was right in front of them...
[Detected drastic fluctuations in the Foundation of Human Order! Spatial values abnormal! Temporal observation anomalies! Imaginary Number Subrsion impossible! Dinsional drilling cannot be deployed!]
An ergency alert echoed from the bridge of the Storm Border.
The attacks from the shadows of Servants ceased instantly, replaced by an even more unsettling developnt.
The unstable trembling felt as if the world itself were shaking.
This ti, there was no way to evade it by diving into the Sea of Imaginary Numbers like before.
"All personnel on deck return to the ship imdiately!"
Morgan issued the order at once.
Next, the Unity God would transfer the Storm Border along with them.
Using the ability known as Independent Manifestation.
Koyanskaya had once been able to carry individual Crypters back and forth between Lostbelts.
The Unity God could naturally accomplish sothing far more extre.
They would treat the Storm Border as a single enormous individual, while considering everyone inside as components of that individual.
Conceptually compressing the interpretation of manifestation.
But... where should they go?
The bleached Earth?
Or the Sea of Imaginary Numbers?
That alone would not solve the problem.
Chaldeas could interfere with imaginary space. Even if they escaped there, the outco would not improve much.
Was there anywhere left that could serve as a refuge... and a base for counterattack?
The Inner Sea of the Planet?
Would it even allow so many outsiders?
"The Moon. Go to Mooncell."
Just as Morgan was racking her brain for a solution, Tenkei Shiomi calmly voiced his decision.
"That place shouldn't have..."
Morgan began to voice her doubt, but suddenly understood.
Right now...
This might be exactly the 'right' mont.
