The Great Hollow beneath Mount Enzou had originally been prepared as a special site for extracting mana from the leylines and bringing about the Holy Grail's descent.
Even the possibility of battles between Servants had been taken into account.
Even if all seven Servants of a Holy Grail War were to erupt into a chaotic lee there, unleashing their Noble Phantasms together and colliding head-on, the Greater Grail would still be able to endure it.
But only that much.
Just as the Three Founding Families who created the Holy Grail War could never have imagined how far that war would one day be twisted, they also could not have foreseen what kind of wish a Magus would hold when the Holy Grail finally manifested and granted it.
And so, there was no way they could have predicted that beneath this Great Hollow, a god would one day fight against a host of Servants.
A battle, moreover, that had beco completely one-sided.
Directly above the Great Hollow was the pond in the back garden of Ryuudou Temple.
Under the effects of [Earth Mother's Feast], the mountain mass split apart completely and collapsed. The water stored in the pond poured downward.
A tremor that could be felt throughout all of Miyama Town erupted from Mount Enzou.
The pond water seeped into the depths of the Great Hollow, soaking evenly into the collapsed boulders.
Morgan stood atop the raised platform, looking at the heaps of rock piled all around her.
The collapsing mountain had failed to bury the united god alive. Instead, it had been forced back, piling up around the base of the Greater Grail and ultimately forming a depression like the mouth of a volcano.
Without a single drop of water touching her, Morgan lifted her head and looked up at the sky.
The presence of the many Servants had completely vanished. The only one still standing there was the united god.
After confirming that silence had returned to the surroundings, Morgan turned around.
The pedestal of the Greater Grail was right in front of her, but that was not what mattered.
After all, this Singularity could not activate the Holy Grail in the first place. And even if it could, that level of power would not be enough to solve the problem.
What mattered was that the leyline node was right before them.
Morgan let out a silent sigh.
"Looks like even when it's right within reach, there's never a shortage of obstacles," Shiomi said softly.
The dark sky was lit up by holy radiance, but Morgan did not bother looking up again.
A countless horde of Shadow Servants had failed to stop them. Grand Servants were special Spirit Origins granted only by the Counter Force.
Chaldeas had no way to control the Counter Force.
Fabricating a false Grand Spirit Origin or a Beast to deal with the united god would still carry the risk of failure.
Even Morgan and Shiomi had been wondering what would appear in the end to stop them.
The answer was finally revealed the mont that holy radiance shone down over the collapsed Great Hollow.
Descending within that sacred light were four Archangels.
The angels hovered above the crater-like collapsed pit like four wedges, surrounding Morgan from four directions.
"So it's angels..." Shiomi let out a sigh.
Morgan laughed instead. "Didn't my husband already start wondering about that question during the Incineration of Humanity? The one even the King of Magecraft could not answer?"
If the Mage's Association and the Holy Church ca from the sa root, then why had the two remained in conflict and strife for two thousand years? What aning had that conflict ever held?
"It seems not only the Incineration of Humanity, but the re-editing of human history as well, is the sa sort of thing." Shiomi sighed faintly. "To overturn the will of the universe as a whole and beco the one who directs that will. Is Earth the domino ant to shatter that Balance?"
"Save the reflections for later, my husband." Morgan gripped the pure white Holy Lance. "There are four Archangels waiting for us right now."
"Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel... was it? In any case, are these Seraphim really waiting for us?"
As though answering Shiomi's mockery, the sky lit up once again with an even brighter radiance.
The angels attacked without the slightest hesitation.
It was divine punishnt.
A special power wielded jointly by the four Seraphim, capable of punishing every enemy upon the earth and erasing them completely, leaving not even a speck of dust behind.
"That's dangerous indeed. If you reached Storm Border, our important companions would be thrown into a desperate battle in an instant."
And yet the united god withstood that trendous power, rising rapidly into the sky and stopping far above the Seraphim, looking down on the angels and the followers at their command.
Behind the angels, countless flying Servants appeared one after another.
"To have the four great Seraphim lead Servants..." Morgan said in a low voice. "A truly elegant calculation, Chaldeas."
"Chaldeas alone could never manage sothing like this. For Chaldeas, being forced to face an enemy it had no choice but to face here in Singularity F already exceeded its original calculations. Its greatest mistake was failing to asure my existence."
With that, she swung the Holy Lance in her hand. A power that tore through space spread outward, instantly cutting apart most of the Servants who failed to evade in ti.
Only the Seraphim and a portion of the Servants escaped that fatal blow.
There were no words, no exchange.
The angels, so expressionless, so smiling, so stern, so touched by a trace of pity, charged at the united god with swords and spears in hand.
Fla, water, gale, earth.
The power symbolizing the four great elents gathered in their hands and transford into destructive force, surrounding the united god Morgan.
This was not rely elental power gathered from the Great Source.
It was holy judgnt cast down in the na of angels.
Against heretics and foreign gods alike, it held an affinity advantage. It was power that existed to subjugate the enemies of the Lord.
"My court cannot be entered. My domain cannot be invaded. My will cannot be destroyed..."
Morgan and Shiomi's voices overlapped like a duet, echoing through the force of the four elents surrounding the united god.
Those endlessly surging powers gradually began to slip beyond the angels' control.
"My existence admits no enemy. Vanish together with your miracles, [Divine Arrowfall]."
Arrows of light seeped out from the powers of fire, water, wind, and earth, spreading across the sky and becoming another all-encompassing net that swallowed the Servants in the air and the four great angels along with them.
Servants were struck in vital points one after another and fell from the sky. Only the four Archangels endured the assault and launched a sudden attack with the blades in their hands.
If even the elental powers of heaven and earth could not harm the united god, then the weapons in their hands would beco the final edge.
And the most effective edge.
"As expected of Seraphim, the order said to stand at the highest rank. They can't be brought down with a simple blow," Morgan said.
"There are four angels," Shiomi said with a smile, "and I have four spears. Let's drive those spearheads through their throats and complete the final node setup."
"Indeed. Everyone is waiting for us."
Facing the angels rushing toward them, Morgan summoned Shiomi's four spears and launched the final counterattack.
