Unlike Singularity F, where even the concepts of ti and space had collapsed into nothingness, this was a special place that seed able to see through every concept.
Even the passage of ti itself had beco clear.
Everything within space stood out in perfect detail.
As they walked there, the wreckage of a planet lay beneath their feet, while a brilliant river of stars spread overhead.
It was almost impossible to tell up from down, left from right, and yet they could still clearly sense that their feet were touching a boundary.
"That is..." Morgan stared ahead in astonishnt.
On what might have been the remains of a dead planet, sothing stood on the horizon.
Then the form of the united god dissolved, and Shiomi stood beside Morgan, gently taking her hand.
"I think I know what that is," Shiomi said. "So we need to go and take a look. Shall we?"
Morgan understood at once. She looked back over her shoulder.
All she could see was the boundless universe. She could not even tell where the planet was, yet sohow she still knew the way back.
That was the strange nature of this place.
There seed to be no road in or out, and yet the true path was already engraved in their hearts.
"Why did you dissolve the united god form?" Morgan asked.
"There won't be any more fighting," Shiomi said, shaking his head. "And there's no need to remain as the united god any longer."
"You and I already stand as beings of equal status."
"My husband," Morgan called softly.
"What is it?"
"If the world can no longer be saved, and destruction is inevitable, then we would beco the last husband and wife," Morgan said in a slightly playful tone.
Shiomi thought for a mont.
"If it really ca to that, I would be in great pain. But I would still recreate the world with you and compile everything anew."
"You're taking it too seriously." Morgan looked at Shiomi with affection. "But that is just like my husband. You always think through every possibility."
"Looking back now, it really has been a long journey, my wife," Shiomi said softly.
"Yes. An incredibly long one," Morgan said with feeling.
They continued talking like that as they walked across the remnants of the ground, hard as steel.
"It's an unpleasant feeling... Is this what a planet becos after it dies?" Morgan asked.
Shiomi shook his head.
"Who knows. Maybe this is just a fragnt of so barren asteroid that could never give birth to life. Or maybe... it's the remains of a battlefield."
"A battlefield?" Morgan repeated, turning the word over in her mind.
It was too silent, too empty. Their voices were not loud, and yet they sounded unnaturally clear against the stillness.
But there was no echo.
Their voices spread outward into the distance and vanished without a trace.
"At the very least, it should be a battlefield."
Shiomi stopped walking.
They had already arrived before the object that had been standing on the horizon.
It was a gigantic stone statue of an angel, with twelve wings spread behind it.
Half were feathered angel wings, and half were demonic bat wings.
Each claid one side of the back, opposing one another.
"This is..." Morgan had already guessed the answer.
"The remains of the Great Demon King Lucifer." Shiomi reached out and touched the remains. "It's completely hollow now. Its power, its soul, all of it is gone."
"Then this place is actually..."
Morgan had only just begun speaking when she saw Shiomi's fingertips touch the petrified remains.
The stone figure, several people tall, collapsed with a crash and crumbled into fine dust.
There was no wind, and yet the dust still drifted away in every direction.
"So what exactly is this place?" Shiomi said slowly. "This is the end of heaven and earth, the far side of the horizon of causality, a boundary that humanity can never reach."
"That is correct."
A third voice rang out.
Morgan slowly lifted her eyes toward the place behind where Lucifer's remains had stood.
A man had appeared there.
Goetia, still maintaining the appearance of the King of Magecraft.
"It seems my husband was wrong." Morgan raised a hand, ready to strike at any mont. "It seems the Demon God King, as a loyal believer, intends to stand before us in person and settle this on behalf of his lord."
"Not so."
This ti, the voice that sounded behind them was a gentle and compassionate woman's voice.
Shiomi glanced back slightly.
Standing in the light was a woman, or rather, a monk.
"And you are?" Shiomi asked, sowhat surprised.
Leaning on her khakkhara staff, the woman raised one hand and gave a slight bow.
"I am Xuanzang Sanzang. Under the Buddha's guidance, I have co here as Sandalwood rit Buddha to serve as the final witness. I stand in the sa position as the King of Magecraft over there."
"A witness?" Morgan arched a brow. "I see."
They had already co this far.
A new god born for the sake of the planet and humanity had severed Chaldeas's plan and arrived here.
The result was already clear.
"The Three Thousand Great Thousand Worlds, that is to say, this universe, are all Buddha's land," Shiomi said. "And yet the universe itself also has a will, or rather, a Counter Force that exists so the universe as a whole may continue."
"Mhm." Xuanzang Sanzang nodded lightly, her tone as easygoing as ever. "Since you two have made it this far, I imagine you already understand what sort of being the lord worshipped by the King of Magecraft truly is."
"Then in the end, the original balance has returned to its original course," Shiomi said. "Yahweh intended to take control of the Counter Force of the universe, yet could not ignore the existence of Buddha. The Incineration of Humanity and the Bleaching of the Earth that occurred on this planet were both dominoes pushed over to break that balance."
"The Lord rely showed compassion and revealed to not only the future of the planet and humanity, but also the future that belongs to the universe," Goetia said calmly. "But your existence was sothing even the Lord could not openly reveal."
"Because if it were openly revealed, it would break the original rules," Xuanzang Sanzang said. "To Buddha, who rules the will of the universe carries no aning at all. If the universe as a whole has no objection, then naturally there will be no interference. And if that would bring about a chain of destruction, then that too is rely a trial this universe must undergo."
"Even if one were to seize all the energy in the universe solely for the sake of continuing human history, that too would still be just a trial?" Shiomi asked.
"It is humanity's trial, so it can only be resolved from humanity's standpoint," Xuanzang Sanzang said. "You never abandoned your standpoint as a human, even at the very end, and you fulfilled the expectations Nüwa placed upon you. That is truly worthy of praise."
"The gods of every mythology in Proper Human History loved humanity in their own ways," Goetia said. "That is why they allowed soone like you to be born, and to climb step by step to the seat of a god. And so, the collapse of all this in the end beca inevitable."
"Amitabha." Xuanzang Sanzang smiled faintly, her tone calm and unhurried. "Causes give rise to what is born, and effects are what is born from them. From the mont certain seeds were planted in the beginning, the corresponding fruit was already destined to appear."
