She ca closer and held as I cried. I cried for a long ti before stopping.
"Here," she said, giving a hanky. I accepted it and wiped my tears.
"You ruined your makeup," she frowned.
"I don’t care about this damn makeup."
"Do you want to drink? There is alcohol, beers, and wines inside," she whispered.
"Yes, I would love that," I mumbled.
She left the car and returned five minutes later with a bottle of wine and six canned beers.
"The wine will be last; let’s have our party here. I want to hear everything; tell everything." She gave one canned beer and took one for herself.
I’m not the drinking type; I’ve only gotten drunk once before. I guess I’ll add to my previous record. After opening the drink, I drank half of its contents before stopping. Ruby also drank from hers.
"So tell , what happened? Which of the brothers offended you? Or did they collectively ruin your mood?"
"No," I smiled, shaking my head. Then I began to explain.
"I was in Cooper’s office when you called; I couldn’t take your call because I was speaking to him. I caught him with a lady. I didn’t catch them in the act, but Cooper ended up confessing to ; he said he made out with her."
A gasp left Ruby’s lips. "Really?"
"He said it straight to my face; he didn’t try to hide it or sugarcoat things. He confessed to cheating with her."
"Moon goddess! He is so terrible; how dare he?" She frowned.
"Do you know the most annoying part? It’s the part about the lady he was cheating with; she t in the elevator and told to break the mate bond with Cooper. She wants to have him, so she asked to dissolve our mate bond. She claid..." I paused and laughed.
"She claid that I was holding him back; she claid that I was stopping him from doing what he truly wants. She wants —no, she needs —to break our mate bond so she can have him all by herself."
"Who’s this lady? Do you know her na?"
"Freya, she introduced herself as Freya; she said she works as a team leader in the sales departnt. She’s been working for him for four years, and she’s been in love with him ever since. She wants to move out of the way so she can fully occupy Cooper’s heart."
"Like she could..." Ruby frowned. "Even without you there, she’ll never be able to ta a beast like Cooper. And why did you listen to that nonsense? You should have shut her up with a slap or sothing. She’s crazy. She has such audacity," Ruby frowned.
"Why would I hit her? I was tempted to slap Cooper, but I held myself back. Hitting him or reacting foolishly will only make like them. I don’t want to act violent, obsessed, and possessive like they do."
"I don’t want that," I said, shaking my head.
"But still... This is so annoying; are you going to let this slide? I can’t let this slide. We need to do sothing about this."
After finishing the first can, we moved to the second and then to the last.
"What can we do? There’s nothing we can do," I mumbled.
"So you’re just going to cry and let it go?"
"There’s nothing I can do, Ruby. You know it. They have wrapped around their little finger. They don’t even consider my feelings. I think... I think they forgot that I have feelings. I can also feel."
"I feel... I feel things. I also have feelings..." Tears started running down my face again.
I think my tears pissed Ruby off because she suddenly reached for my purse, opened it, and retrieved my phone, then dialed Cooper’s number.
"I will insult him so badly. I don’t care what happens to afterward. I’ll tell him off," she groaned.
"No. No. Don’t do that, Ruby. He won’t let you go; he’ll destroy you." I tried to reach for the phone, but she leaned away.
Cooper answered the call the next minute.
"Hey Princess, are you at the party? I can’t see you; I was just about to call. Where are...?" Cooper started to speak, but Ruby didn’t let him finish and began to curse him.
"You scumbag. Can’t you control your tiny dick?" Ruby yelled.
"Must you always cheat on her? Must you make her cry all the ti?" She yelled.
"Excuse ...?" Cooper huffed. "Who is this? Is this Ruby?"
"Yes, it is I, so what? What can you do to ? Can you catch ? Well, go ahead if you can. Co and catch ."
"Who is that?" Parker’s voice ca in.
"I think it’s Ara’s friend."
"What the fuck is she talking about? She sounds drunk. Don’t tell she’s with Ara. Are they drinking together? I think they’re together." Parker’s voice ca from the background.
"Hey, are you with Ara? This is her phone, right? You’re with her. Where are you? I’ll co get her," he said.
"Don’t try it! Ara doesn’t need a dickhead like you to get her. Leave her alone, you good-for-nothing bastard!"
What the hell...!
"How dare you cheat on my friend with that ugly thing? You’ve been fucking her behind the scenes. Your bitch is ugly. How dare you do this to her?"
"Because of you, that ugly bitch insulted her today. How dare you do that to her? Huh?"
"Where are you? You can speak to in person and stop yelling," he said.
"Speak to you in person? Why would I? You’re not worth my ti, okay? I hate you. Ara hates you too. She doesn’t want to see your slly ass and dick. Go fuck Freya, okay? Bury your dick inside her. Fuck her until your balls explode."
"Hey, that’s enough. I don’t care if you’re drunk. It’s enough; hand the phone to Ara."
"I’m not doing..." Ruby started to speak, but I snatched the phone from her and placed it against my ear.
"Why? What do you want to say to , you bastard?!" I yelled.
"Princess..." He sighed.
"Don’t call that, you evil manipulator. You manwhore. Butt-licker. Cunt-eater. Pussy-chaser. How dare you? Don’t ever call by that na. My na is Ara; I am not a fucking princess."
"I thought you weren’t mad," he sighed.
"That’s right, I am not mad. I am fucking thrilled. I felt so much joy when you confessed how you’ve been fucking her. I felt out of the world. Are you happy now?"
"Okay, I’ll apologize. Where are you? Let’s talk."
"No, I don’t wish to speak to you. I hate you. I hate all of you. I hate you, Cooper Sebastian. I wish I had never t you." Unable to control my emotions, I broke down and began sobbing again. "You make my life miserable; you should never have co into my life."
"You make so sick. Why did you have to co into my life? When I was poor, I was never this unhappy. I wish... I wish you could just disappear with the others. I hate you."
Then I ended the call.
