“That’s Dad’s room!” Chale pointed to a particular floor on the second story. “My nursery is next door.”

“I don’t know about when I was little, but everyone says Dad raised , and he was so good to ,” Chale babbled on, “so even now that he’s left behind, I can’t hate him.”

When Chale spoke, his eyes sparkled with a bright luster, like the stars in the sky.

Jasmine followed his pointing finger with her gaze.
