Chapter 1417: Chapter 1417 Sylvan Cheney cupped her face
The next morning, Jasmine Yale woke up early, lying in the crook of Sylvan Cheney’s arm.
“Can I go to the supermarket with Butler Santana today?” Jasmine cautiously asked.
She knew he didn’t allow her to go out, although he never told her why.
But she never did the things he disliked, because it would make him unhappy, very unhappy.
“No.”
“Can I just stay in the car without getting out if Butler Santana drives?”
“…”
“Is that okay?” Jasmine softly coaxed him, her little head resting on his chest, with her fair fingers drawing circles on his chest, “It would be nice to see the skyscrapers and the crowd.”
She truly was getting stifled staying at ho.
“Didn’t I just let you out yesterday?”
“Oh, then nevermind.” Jasmine didn’t insist further, “You go to work, I’ll go back to sleep.”
Jasmine let go of his embrace, scooted to the side, and closed her eyes to continue sleeping.
The morning sun rose outside the window, the sky a bright color.
After a long silence, the man by the bed finally spoke softly, “Get up and help get dressed, I’ll let you go out with Butler Santana.”
Jasmine’s eyes snapped open, huh? Did she hear him wrong?
Sylvan slapped her on the butt lightly: “Get up.”
“Hmm.” Jasmine sat up in bed.
She jumped out of bed in her silk pajamas to help him get dressed.
“You’re not a child, why do I need to help you get dressed?” Jasmine fastened his shirt buttons one by one, “Even Chale doesn’t need my help getting dressed.”
Every ti she wanted to help the little guy, he would shake his head: “No thanks, baby can do it himself.”
“You need to lower down a bit, I can’t reach.” Jasmine fussed.
Sylvan bent down, and Jasmine picked a tie to knot around his neck.
Sylvan squinted his eyes, watching every expression on her face closely, seeing the intricate softness and gentle warmth in her eyes.
Jasmine didn’t know how to tie a tie before, but she had beco very proficient now.
Just as she finished tying the tie, Sylvan held her face and kissed her forehead.
Jasmine smiled sheepishly: “Is that all?”
“Yes.”
“Then can I go back to sleep?”
“Mhm.”
Sylvan left for work, and Jasmine lay back down in the warm bed.
The bed still seed to retain his warmth and scent, she hugged the blanket, feeling completely at peace.
Sunlight filled the floor, and the surroundings were brightly lit.
Sylvan indeed had agreed for her to go grocery shopping with Butler Santana but specifically instructed the butler not to let her out of the car.
However, Jasmine hadn’t expected that just upon arriving at the supermarket, she would run into Harper Glorian again.
Quite a coincidence, isn’t it?
“Miss Yale, I will go upstairs to buy groceries. Please don’t leave the car, or Mr. Cheney will bla ,” Butler Santana said.
“Alright, I won’t wander off.”
“Mhm.” Butler Santana took his wallet and went upstairs.
Jasmine was sowhat distracted, observing Harper for a long while.
Today, Harper was out by herself; she stuffed the large and small bags into the trunk, then straightened her hair and clothes.
After closing the trunk, she sighed with relief, handling her high heels as she prepared to get into the driver’s seat.
Jasmine rolled down the window, looking out against the sunlight.
Not sure if Harper noticed soone’s gaze, she paused, pulled up her mask, and turned around.
As she turned, she saw Jasmine Yale, the “old acquaintance.”
Truly a coincidence.
A flash of bewildernt crossed Harper’s eyes as she stared at Jasmine for a good while.
