Chapter 1590: Chapter 1590: You Even Deceived an Eight-Year-Old Girl

“Once your body recovers, you won’t need the dication, but from now on, you still have to take care of yourself. Your constitution is weak, so you need to be more cautious than others. When you’re on your period, absolutely avoid cold water. Staying up late and irregular als are also out of the question,” Aunt May reminded Jasmine Yale.

Although she had already ntioned it last ti, due to her professional habit, she couldn’t help but reiterate.

Jasmine nodded earnestly. “I’ve rembered everything.”

“It’s no use if only you rember,” Aunt May said on purpose.

Sylvan Cheney imdiately responded, “I’ll rember too.”

“Alright, Jasmine, for now, there’s no need to co back here. Hospitals aren’t pleasant places. Avoid coming unless it’s necessary,” Aunt May said. “I’ll leave you my business card. If there’s anything you’re uncomfortable bringing up with Sylvan, feel free to call .”

Jasmine blushed slightly as she took Aunt May’s business card.

“In the future, if you get pregnant, make sure to let know. Your body has a higher risk of miscarriage, so you’ll need to be extra careful. I can help you prepare so protective dication if necessary.”

Jasmine’s heart sank, and her hands fidgeted with the straps of her bag, a trace of sorrow surfacing in her eyes.

Her already dim mood grew even heavier, like a foggy winter day.

“Will pregnancy harm her body?” Sylvan furrowed his brows and asked.

“Not pregnancy itself, but a miscarriage would,” Aunt May explained.

“I see,” Sylvan nodded.

“The cigarettes you brought for my husband last ti—he really liked them. He kept praising how thoughtful you are, said you’re more filial than our own little rascal at ho,” Aunt May said with a smile.

“It’s the least I could do,” Sylvan replied with a small smile, his arms still wrapped around Jasmine’s waist.

Jasmine’s body wasn’t cold, but her chest felt a chilly emptiness, carrying an indescribable emotion.

The little bunny keychain Sylvan gave her was now hanging on her bag. Whenever her fingers brushed against it, it felt soft and comforting.

“What work is Jasmine doing now?” Aunt May asked with concern.

“I’m still studying,” Jasmine replied.

“Studying is good. People who enjoy learning are always smart. Do you have any plans for the future? Or anything you particularly like to do?”

“Aunt May, don’t scare her,” Sylvan said gently as his fingers lightly stroked Jasmine’s waist. He raised an eyebrow at Aunt May and continued, “Whatever she likes is fine.”

Aunt May chuckled. “So, when are you planning to let drink at your wedding?”

“That day will co,” Sylvan replied in a low, rich voice.

Jasmine’s heart was still thumping wildly. It wasn’t out of excitent, but an indescribable feeling.

“Don’t make wait too long,” Aunt May said. “Oh, by the way, Jasmine, you never told —whose family are you from? Maybe I even know your parents.”

“She’s an orphan. She’s been at the Cheney Residence since she was eight,” Sylvan cut in, answering on Jasmine’s behalf. He added casually, “And yes, just as you’re thinking, I tricked her into staying.”

Aunt May didn’t show any prejudice. She laughed and said, “You tricked an eight-year-old girl? Sha on you.”

“I couldn’t help it. She was easy to deceive,” Sylvan said, glancing down at Jasmine, who was sitting there quietly and gently. His eyes were filled with affectionate amusent.

Aunt May hadn’t realized they had known each other for such a long ti—it was quite unexpected.

No wonder there were so few rumors about Sylvan in Landon. Turns out, he already had a little wife waiting at ho.

Looking at Jasmine, Aunt May laughed and said, “You’ll need to improve your ability to spot deception. Look at this—you got tricked into staying with him for a lifeti. If not, there’s still ti to consider my son.”
