“No need, no need, how could I let a pregnant woman co to pick up,” Yukon Carbon said with a laugh, “Alright, I won’t disturb your work anymore. Have you had breakfast?”
“Yes, I did. I made it myself, it tasted great,” Jasmine Yale said with a sweet smile.
Her sweet smile reflected on the glass window, like blooming crabapple flowers, fresh and beautiful.
“That’s good. I just got the news and I’m telling you first. Letting you know in advance, so you can make ti to accompany .”
“I’m not that busy, as long as you co back to Cakago, I can definitely accompany you.”
Jasmine Yale’s face was filled with a soft smile, holding the phone with one hand and lightly resting the other on the railing.
Her face appeared even fairer under the bright light.
She had indeed gained quite a bit of weight during this period, looking very much like an expectant mother.
Jasmine patiently held the phone and listened to Yukon Carbon speak, completely unaware of the man walking up behind her.
A noble and stern aura instantly filled the space in front of the floor-to-ceiling window. The man’s eyes sharpened, his chin line tensed, and a deep and restrained light shone from the depths of his eyes.
Sylvan Cheney’s black leather shoes tapped on the marble floor, ink-colored shirt and black suit pants encompassed his tall figure, one hand in his pants pocket, taking steady steps behind her.

Jasmine didn’t turn around, engrossed in her phone call, completely unaware that soone had arrived behind her.
“Focus on your work too, I’ll be waiting for you in Cakago, see you then,” Jasmine smiled, “Goodbye?”
Yukon Carbon nodded, “Yeah, go on, bye.”
After hanging up the phone, Jasmine instinctively turned around.
“Ah.” As soon as she turned her head, she saw Sylvan Cheney, startling her, her heart pounded hard, breath caught in her throat, eyes wide open, looking at him in shock and fear.
When did he stand behind her?
Damn it, like a ghost.
In front of Jasmine was Sylvan Cheney just inches away, behind her was the floor-to-ceiling window, no room to escape.
“So you’re Jas’s employee.” Sylvan Cheney’s gaze fell on her chest, pausing for a few seconds on her badge, his expression cold, his voice deep, “Secretary Departnt? Jasmine Yale?”
“Yes, CEO Cheney, we et again.”
“How long have you been here?”
“More than half a month, joined during the last job fair,” Jasmine stared at him, breathing unsteady, her heart still pounding.
Her hands were shaking, even her feet felt weak.
When he wasn’t her Sylvan Cheney, he always looked cold and intimidating, with no intimacy or smile, like a stranger.
“Then you should know, chatting on the phone during work hours deserves a warning penalty,” Sylvan Cheney’s face was stern.
“No… I was just taking a call, it wasn’t for long, it doesn’t count as chatting.”
“Who decides, you or ? Hmm?”
Jasmine bit her lip, fell silent.
He’s the CEO, of course, what he said goes.
“Kade, notify the head of the Secretary Departnt, Jasmine Yale, a warning penalty, if it happens again, termination,” Sylvan Cheney’s cold voice echoed in the vast space.
“Yes…” Kade Yuvan not far away had no choice but to make a note.
He could only say it was really unlucky for Jasmine, the CEO rarely visits, just caught her making a call during work hours.
