Capítulo 1829: Chapter 1829: A Treat for Sylvan Cheney
“CEO Cheney, have a taste, I think it tastes pretty good.” Kade Yuvan chuckled, “We’re about to have a eting, which will go on for several hours. It’s better to eat sothing.”
Sylvan Cheney frowned slightly and put down his pen.
The dessert slled alright, and he was indeed a bit hungry.
Even though he didn’t like sweets, he still took a piece of matcha layer cake.
He tried a bite, it was light and sweet without being overwhelming, the taste was acceptable.
Kade Yuvan had been with Sylvan Cheney for a few months and knew that he was very picky with food; even dishes personally cooked by an heiress like Miss Janus didn’t seem to appeal to CEO Cheney much.
Miss Janus had also made desserts for CEO Cheney, all baked by herself, but most of the ti, CEO Cheney rely had a couple of bites and couldn’t eat more.
Kade Yuvan thought Jasmine Yale’s desserts were very good, so he wanted Sylvan Cheney to give them a try.
This way, in the future, if Jasmine Yale makes any mistakes, he could plead for her on this.
The matcha layer cake had a center filling, inside were coconut flakes that lted in the mouth.
Sylvan Cheney ate one piece, couldn’t help but take another.
“Where did you buy this?” Sylvan Cheney asked casually, he wasn’t as put off by this dessert as he imagined.
“The bakery downstairs.”
“Oh.” Sylvan Cheney didn’t ask further, ate a few pieces, and then continued with his work.
“President, I’ll go to the office to sort out the docunts. When the ti cos, I’ll co to find you.”
“Mm.”
Sylvan Cheney didn’t say much more, his deep-set eyes carrying a reserved intensity.
He glanced at the pastries inside the bag, there was quite a variety, but he couldn’t recall there being a bakery like this downstairs, especially since osmanthus cake is a very traditional Chinese dessert.
Sylvan Cheney didn’t think much of it, took a puff of his cigarette, and continued flipping through the files in his hand.
“Knock knock—”
The door was knocked again.
Sylvan Cheney looked up to see Erin Janus walking in.
She had changed into a long white dress and had tied up her shoulder-length curly hair, looking pure and radiant.
Her blue eyes were captivatingly enchanting, she walked towards Sylvan Cheney wearing high heels and smiled, “I heard there’s a eting this afternoon, it’s quite long.”
“Yes, it’s an investnt eting with the amusent center.”
“Ever since I handed the company over to you, I’ve been much more relaxed, but I don’t even have anyone to go shopping with. What ti does it end? Should I wait for you at ho or at the mall?”
“You can shop by yourself, just let know if you fancy anything.” Sylvan Cheney puffed on his cigarette.
“Shopping alone is very dull, Stacy is also at work, it’s just being idle. It’s rare for to co to the Cakago Branch, I’ll join you for this afternoon’s eting, I also want to hear what the amusent center has in mind.”
“Alright, here are the docunts Kade Yuvan sent over, take a look first.” Sylvan Cheney handed her a thick stack of files.
“Okay.” Erin Janus took them, then suddenly noticed the bag on the table, “Pastries? You don’t like sweets.”
“Kade Yuvan bought them.”
“This guy, after being with you for so long, still doesn’t know you don’t like these, he should get a paycheck deduction.” Erin Janus smiled gracefully, looked inside the bag, “The appearance isn’t great either, since you don’t like them, I’ll throw them away. Sylvan Cheney didn’t say much.

She held the docunts, sat down on the sofa, crossed her legs, and began flipping through the files page by page, her eyes charming.
Sylvan Cheney puffed on his cigarette, bowed his head to work, the depth of his gaze unreachable.
The office suddenly fell silent.
