Capítulo 1836: Chapter 1836: I’ll Do Whatever You Ask
Sylvan Cheney stood with his back straight, still exuding a faint aura.
Jasmine Yale’s heartbeat gradually sped up. It turned out that being close to him again, she still felt her heart race, even her breathing beca rapid.
“What is it?” Sylvan Cheney said indifferently, “You better have sothing, or else…”
“Or else what more can you do?” Jasmine Yale, not knowing where her courage ca from, said, “You’ve already fired ; that’s the harshest punishnt you can give .”
Sylvan Cheney chuckled, turning his head, his intense gaze eting hers.
The sunset rged into his silhouette. He stood against the light, tall and independent, radiating an aura of maturity and wildness.
The corners of his lips slightly curved, and there was a full disdain in Sylvan Cheney’s eyes.
He was tall, and without her heels, Jasmine Yale’s presence seed diminished in front of him.
He lowered his head, one hand resting on the door fra, his body slightly leaning forward, his tall figure enveloping her.
Sylvan Cheney chuckled, disdainful and mocking, “Believe it or not, I can make sure you won’t find a job in Cakago, hmm?”
He disliked being provoked.
And this woman had provoked him repeatedly.
His warm breath brushed over, and Jasmine Yale’s heart uncontrollably sped up, nearly leaping out of her throat.
In his eyes were indifference and composure, even a bit cold and chilling, without any warmth.
eting his gaze, she naturally shrank her shoulders, like a frightened Little White rabbit.
Her teeth clenched, and the man before her suddenly seed repulsive.
“I’m not here to argue with you.” Jasmine Yale tried hard to calm her breathing, “I’m here to apologize to you.”
“Oh?” Sylvan Cheney’s tone rose slightly, “An apology? Let hear what kind of apology it is.”
Jasmine Yale restrained her temper.
“Everything that happened today was my fault, especially this afternoon.” Jasmine Yale recited the lines she had long prepared, “As a secretary, the most important thing is to fully comply with the boss. If the boss is right, I should comply; if the boss is wrong, I should still comply. My biggest mistake today was not complying, not following orders, which made you angry. I’m sorry.”
Sylvan Cheney chuckled further, with even more disdain: “Why do I hear sarcasm? Hmm? Didn’t you say I’m unreasonable? Apologizing to an unreasonable person, isn’t that wronging yourself, Miss Yale?”
Jasmine Yale gritted her teeth; he indeed easily provoked her anger.
“No, I’m not wronged.” Jasmine Yale lowered her gaze humbly, “Everything today was my fault, I know my mistake. CEO Cheney, you are magnanimous; surely you wouldn’t hold it against .”
“I’m really too lazy to bother with you.”
“Then… may I continue working at the group tomorrow? I want to stay.”
“I won’t take back what I’ve said.”
Sylvan Cheney put down his hand, straightened his body, and turned to walk into the office, leaving no room for negotiation.
Jasmine Yale suddenly chased after him, perhaps driven by impulse or sothing else. She threw down her notebook, grabbing his arm—
“CEO Cheney, I know I was wrong, I truly know I was wrong.”
Sylvan Cheney abruptly pulled his arm from her grasp as if shocked, coldly glancing at her.
“I don’t like physical contact.”
Jasmine Yale was montarily stunned, lowering her hand.
“CEO Cheney…”
“There’s no room for negotiation, get out!”
“CEO Cheney!” Jasmine Yale’s eyes were full of grievance, “As long as you don’t fire , I’ll do anything you ask in the future.”
