Sylvan Cheney didn’t speak again.
But Jasmine Yale was overjoyed inside, her smile returning to her face.
The hospital wasn’t far from the financial district, and they arrived soon.
"Elder Axel, accompany her," Sylvan Cheney had no intention of getting out of the car.
"Yes, CEO Cheney."
Jasmine Yale was apprehensive; she grabbed the seat and shook her head: "CEO Cheney, co with , please. The doctors always ask why my husband didn’t co. I’m afraid they’ll ask again. Please accompany . Is that okay?"
"You’re asking for too much!" Sylvan Cheney was very impatient.
"Just this once, only once, we’re already at the hospital." Jasmine Yale looked at him, pleading.
Sylvan Cheney also opened his eyes to look at her, his face as dark as the sky outside.
"CEO Cheney, really, every ti I go there, the first thing they ask is, did your husband not co this ti? If he doesn’t co again, he’ll miss important stages of the baby’s growth."
Maybe Jasmine Yale’s look of longing and apprehension didn’t seem fake, so Sylvan Cheney reluctantly raised his hand and opened the car door.
Jasmine Yale quickly got out of the car too.
"Elder Axel, wait for in the car, and today’s events must not be told to anyone," Sylvan Cheney said indifferently.
"Yes, CEO Cheney."
Jasmine Yale was overjoyed!
Truly happy!
She touched her belly and walked side by side with Sylvan Cheney towards the obstetrics and gynecology departnt.
Sylvan Cheney was still the sa, unwilling to speak much on the way, looking extrely displeased, and even unwilling to let her co close.
Jasmine Yale didn’t mind at all; she was like a little fairy, lively and optimistic.
Going upstairs, Jasmine Yale touched her belly and smiled, "Baby, Uncle Cheney is a good man. When you co out, you must thank Uncle Cheney."
"I don’t like kids," Sylvan Cheney reiterated, his tone unhappy.
"Oh."
What’s he pulling for? Her baby might not even like him.
She walked towards the obstetrics and gynecology departnt.
Sylvan Cheney clearly didn’t want to go in.
It was his first ti in such a place.
"Co in, CEO Cheney," Jasmine Yale looked at him with anticipation, "If my doctor sees again, they’ll say I have no one to accompany . Just this once, no exceptions next ti."
Only then did Sylvan Cheney frown and follow her inside.
Jasmine Yale followed the process, handing the forms to the doctor.
This Arican doctor glanced at Sylvan Cheney, surprised: "Mrs. Yale, is this your husband? Very handso."
"Yes, yes, husband," Jasmine Yale was all smiles, genuinely very happy, "He’s usually busy with work, it’s his first ti accompanying , he treats well, really well."
"No matter how busy, he must accompany you. It’s not easy for a woman to be pregnant, very difficult. It’s too lonely if there’s no one with you during pregnancy."
"It’s okay, it’s hard for them to take ti off at his company, but he’s always with , and I’m very happy."
Sylvan Cheney frowned, this woman’s lies rolled off her tongue effortlessly.
She’s an expert at lying.
She seed simple and innocent, but how could she be so dishonest and full of lies?
The doctor perford several examinations on Jasmine Yale.
So examinations required n to avoid, so Sylvan Cheney went to the corridor.
He wanted to smoke, to suppress that inexplicable feeling rising in his heart, but realized this was a hospital, an obstetrics and gynecology departnt, and he couldn’t smoke.
In the corridor, he rubbed his temples and closed his eyes, listening to the clamor of people’s voices.
He leaned against the wall, legs crossed, with a distant, quiet expression on his face.
His tall figure blended into the environnt outside the obstetrics and gynecology departnt, in stark contrast to the busy dads-to-be around him.
