Jasmine Yale gave a small smile: "The CEO told that Miss Lucy is very charming, truly deserving of being Mr. Dick’s chief secretary, effortlessly handling everything."
The complint made the female secretary overjoyed, smiling like a flower: "Miss Yale, you really know how to talk. Co, drink with us. I don’t quite understand though, can pregnant won drink alcohol?"
Before Jasmine Yale could speak, Sylvan Cheney stood up: "Pregnant won can’t drink alcohol. I’ll drink on her behalf."
Mr. Dick laughed heartily: "Evan, why don’t you and Lucy have a drinking contest, see who can hold their liquor better. My secretary is unbeatable, you won’t find a second woman in Cakago who can match her drinking."
"Bring it on." The female secretary teased playfully, "Mr. Dick, if I win against CEO Cheney, is there a reward?"
"See? Always knowing how to ask for rewards. Look at Miss Yale, so capable, and yet she doesn’t ask Evan for anything," Mr. Dick replied with a smile.
The female secretary looked at Jasmine Yale: "Miss Yale, it’s not my place to say, but you shouldn’t settle for less. You’re a pregnant woman, coming all the way with Mr. Cheney, it’s only right to ask for so compensation."
Jasmine Yale smiled: "Once we go back, I’ll blackmail the CEO."
"Once you’re back, your CEO might just deny everything. Why not ask for it now? We can all act as witnesses for you, so that CEO Cheney can’t bully you," the female secretary said enthusiastically.
"And what should I ask for?" Sylvan Cheney looked down at her, still holding a wine glass.
His eyes were deep, like a night sky full of stars, profound and endless. It felt like a single glance could make one captivated.
Jasmine Yale shook her head and chuckled softly: "They’re just joking around. I don’t want anything."
How could you ask for compensation for work-related matters?

Mr. Dick and the female secretary didn’t quite understand.

Under the lights, the red wine glimred softly, like a ruby.
Sylvan Cheney kept Mr. Dick company as they drank.
Mr. Dick’s female secretary was a lively person, making the atmosphere more engaging and free of awkwardness.
Occasionally, cheerful laughter would drift from the restaurant, and Jasmine Yale mostly listened to their conversation, interjecting occasionally.
