Chapter 1950: Chapter 1950: The Scenery Before Doomsday Arrives
Jasmine Yale stayed in Kade Yuvan’s office for a long ti. Kade gave her so guidance on several mistakes and helped her correct so of her thought processes.
“The amusent park project is this year’s key project, and it’s also the one the president is most optimistic about. You need to pay extra attention to it. Of course, you don’t need to handle the physical work; I’ve got it covered,” Kade said with a smile.
“Thank you, Assistant Yuvan. The luckiest thing about coming to the group is eting you. You’re just like my ntor.”
“You really know how to flatter people. It’s the first ti soone has praised like this. Our branch is newly established, so there’s no notion of seniority. We’re almost all starting from the sa point, so we need to work hard to go further.”
“Actually… no matter what you do, if you work hard and put your heart into it, you’ll definitely gain sothing, right?” Jasmine asked, looking at Kade.
Kade nodded. “Yes, as long as you work hard and put your heart into it, you’ll undoubtedly gain sothing. This project might be quite challenging, but with the president around, don’t worry. If you feel unwell, make sure to tell us. Don’t push yourself.”
“I know, I know,” Jasmine said. “Are you going on a business trip soon?”
“No, I’ll mainly be working on projects and engineering in Cakago for the ti being.”
“Got it.” Jasmine understood.
After delivering the docunts, she returned to the secretary departnt.
Kade had already sent her an email. Jasmine opened it and read through everything.
It was all about the amusent park project.
As Jasmine read, she took notes.
She was so focused that she forgot to eat lunch when the ti ca.
“Jasmine, let’s go to the cafeteria. I heard there’s a special dish today,” Flora Sutton called out to her.
Jasmine only then raised her head, feeling a bit dazed. “What ti is it?”
“Look at you, working tirelessly. It’s already 11:30, not early. Co on, let’s go together.”
“Okay.” Jasmine stood up, tidied up her desk, and walked to the cafeteria with Flora Sutton. “The weather isn’t great today.”
“Indeed, it was sunny this morning, but now it’s cloudy and overcast. It looks like it’s going to rain,” Flora said, glancing at the dark sky outside the window.
The vast sky was covered with dark clouds, densely packed, blocking out the sun and light.
Dayti seed like night.
This kind of weather is not uncommon in sumr, often a sign of an impending storm, possibly a thunderstorm, or a typhoon and heavy rain.
The wind was blowing, causing the leaves to flutter wildly.
Even through the window, the “whoosh” sound could be heard, with swirling dust all around.
“The weather forecast said there might be a heavy rainstorm,” Jasmine observed while looking at the sky outside. “At this ti of year, it should cool down after it rains, right?”
“Yes, sumr is coming to an end.”
The building was brightly lit everywhere, unaffected by the darkness outside, yet the low pressure all around made the atmosphere feel oppressive.
The corridor had floor-to-ceiling windows, and at that mont, the scene outside was spectacular—dark clouds overwheld the city as if an apocalypse was approaching.
At a glance, the high-rise buildings around were all obscured by darkness and clouds.
When Jasmine was younger, she was most afraid of this kind of weather because it ca with thunder and lightning.
Either one was enough to make her tremble with fear.
Therefore, in such weather, she liked to draw the curtains, close the doors and windows, and it felt much better that way.
