Now reading: Chapter 1962: I Think I Am a Wolf from Fated love: the unwanted bride, a Romance novel by Gauze & Snow.

Sylvan Cheney’s sharp eyes stared at her for a mont, then slowly said, "When you’re with , all you think about is the project?"

"What else, President? Has no one ever told you that you’re a really boring person?" Jasmine Yale ate her food, squinting her eyes, calm and composed, "Of course, because you’re so dictatorial and autocratic, no one dares to say it. Apart from work, I really don’t know what to talk about with you, President."

"Jasmine Yale." There was a faint anger in Sylvan Cheney’s eyes, "Don’t go too far!"

"How’s that too far? Am I being more excessive than you, President? You scold at every turn. I still rember the first ti you scolded , in the company corridor, in front of so many of your subordinates, scolded , wanted to fire , wanted to put on record. I’ve got a good mory, I rember it all..."

Jasmine Yale’s voice was gentle and she smiled warmly.

But Sylvan Cheney was less than calm.

"Jasmine Yale, you really are petty."

"What else? Am I supposed to say ’Thank you, President, for the teaching, it was very enlightening’ after being scolded by you?" Jasmine picked out a piece of ham for him, "Alright, alright, eat up, don’t be mad. Being angry isn’t good for your health."

"You’re really good at getting on my nerves." Sylvan Cheney shot her a cold glance, his arm veins bulging.

"President, don’t you think I’m like a lamb? Docile and obedient, only fighting back when others provoke . So, President, don’t scold anymore."

Sylvan Cheney let out a cold laugh, "Then I think I’m like a wolf, no chance."

Jasmine Yale’s hand paused.

Sothing seed off.

Yet everything seed off.

A wolf?

"Jasmine Yale, the ingredients for the sobering tea Kade Yuvan gave , did you send them?" Sylvan Cheney frowned.

Jasmine Yale smiled, "You just realized that? You’re slow."

"Don’t push your luck!"

"I’m not, just speaking the truth... You didn’t throw it away, did you? If you did, then you did. I won’t make it for you again anyway, you never appreciate it."

"Jasmine Yale, do you know what you’re saying?"

"No, no big deal." Jasmine grinned awkwardly, conceding.

Sylvan Cheney’s gaze grew deep and serious as he set his wine glass on the table, staring at Jasmine Yale who was eating.

Jasmine Yale was really not holding back as she ate; the few dishes in front of her were already empty.

At that mont, she was carefully eating the white sauce braised beef in front of her, taking her ti.

Her brows lowered, she looked much gentler, like white jade, delicate and graceful.

Because of her pregnancy, her complexion appeared rosy and radiant, her eyes full of loving kindness.

After a while, Jasmine Yale looked up, "Finished this and still want to eat that."

As she looked up, she saw Sylvan Cheney watching her.

Sylvan Cheney withdrew his gaze and took a sip of red wine.

"President, I still want to eat this." She pointed to a small bowl.

"Hmm." He replied, "I’ll order it for you."

With that, he pressed the bell, calling the waiter over.

"And prune cake too, and assorted smoked at, they’re delicious."

"You sure can eat." Sylvan Cheney showed disdain again, but still ordered it all for her.

He hadn’t eaten much; she ate most of it.

"Does the President regret it?" Jasmine Yale asked with a smile.

"Regret what?"

"Regret bringing here. I eat so much. You should’ve taken to a street food stall or sothing, right?"
