Kade Yuvan only gave himself half an hour, hurriedly finishing his al, without having much ti to talk to Jasmine Yale.
“I’m heading upstairs first,” Kade glanced at his watch, “Thanks for the lunch.”
“Go ahead, I’ll return to the company later.”
“Alright, make sure to type up the eting minutes.”
“Okay!”
Securing the collaboration with the entertainnt city was a major success for the company, and Jasmine Yale was quite proud.
This counts as the first official project she took on since joining the company, personally ntored by Sylvan Cheney.
From an inexperienced intern, she had followed Sylvan Cheney far and wide, learning a lot.
It’s been two months, almost two months by his side.
While tidying the table, Jasmine Yale opened the morning eting video on her tablet.
In the video, Sylvan Cheney appeared serious and composed, his deanor dignified and elegant, rarely smiling, his thin lips tightly pressed, gaze sharp.
“Baby, let’s watch it again, look carefully, this is Daddy!” Jasmine Yale sat by the table, pointing at Sylvan Cheney in the video, caressing her stomach, “See, that’s him, Daddy is amazing.”
“Do you like him? Is he too strict? If you think he’s too fierce, Mommy can find you a different Daddy, okay?” Jasmine started to laugh.
The indoor light illuminated her face, her brow and eyes curved, her clear and bright eyes full of sparkling brightness.
This kind of calm and composed afternoon made one drowsy, watching the person in the video delivering a report, Jasmine Yale propped her head and started to doze off.
After a while.
Too sleepy, she simply laid down on the table to sleep.
The video was left on, playing in a loop, one hand resting on the tablet, the other on her belly.
In her sleep, Jasmine Yale’s fierce nature was tucked away, as she lay quiet, gentle, and delicate.
Indoors, the light was full.
She dreamt of the baby growing up, with her and Sylvan Cheney taking the baby to play at the amusent park.
She pointed at the amusent park, proudly telling the baby, “This is a gift from Daddy.”
As soon as she finished, Sylvan Cheney wrapped his arms around her waist, planting a deep kiss on her forehead.
A kiss full of affection.
Ti froze.
In the dream, Jasmine Yale was so happy she smiled radiantly.
Lost in her laughter, she didn’t notice the lounge door being opened.
Sylvan Cheney stood at the door, seeing her silly smile, couldn’t help but mutter “idiot,” as he approached and found a thin blanket to drape over her legs.
Jasmine Yale was soundly asleep, didn’t wake up.
Sylvan Cheney sat across from her and noticed the tablet in her hand was playing the video from the morning.
Sylvan Cheney didn’t speak, crossing his legs, silently sitting, watching the dreaming Jasmine Yale.
She didn’t know what she dreamt of, but her lips curled in happiness.
“Baby…” Jasmine mumbled, talking in her sleep.
Sylvan Cheney furrowed his brow.
This ti she was truly exhausted, sleeping heavily, completely oblivious to Sylvan Cheney who stayed seated beside her.
In the quiet lounge, just the two of them, one sitting, one sleeping.

Sylvan Cheney was tired too, after watching her for a while, he leaned back on the chair and closed his eyes.

Light filtered through the curtains onto the wooden floor, as shadows shifted, on the ground lay the crossed shadows of Jasmine Yale and Sylvan Cheney, intertwined and inseparable for a long ti.
