"Yes, yes, celebrating our birthday, isn’t it wonderful?" Jasmine Yale squinted her eyes and smiled.
"Of course it’s wonderful. This year has truly been the happiest year ever. I’m having dinner out with your brother right now. What about you, what did you eat?"
"I’m having dinner with Mr. Carbon."
"Am I interrupting?"
"No, no, let’s chat a bit more," Jasmine Yale said happily. "I received the small gift from you and my brother. Did he get the gift I sent him?"
"He did. He really likes the pen you sent. He carries it with him all the ti."
"As long as he likes it. Where is he? Let him say a few words to . He doesn’t call very often."
"Your brother is introverted and shy. Alright, I’ll have him say a few words." Luka Xadrian handed the phone to Chris Fern.
"Sis." A cheerful, pleasant voice of a young man ca from the other end.
"Happy birthday, Chris."
"Sis, sa to you, happy birthday. Let’s celebrate together next ti."
"Sure, let’s celebrate together next ti, I look forward to it. This ti... I wish you’ll soon find a gentle, considerate, and understanding girlfriend. How about that."
The man on the other end blushed: "Sis... don’t joke around."
"Alright, you have dinner with Dad, eat a lot."
"Hmm! You too, have fun tonight."
A warm smile blossod on Jasmine Yale’s face. She hadn’t expected that one day she would have a family, and a brother born on the exact sa day, month, and year as she. It was a very magical thing.
As she hung up, Jasmine glanced at the clock—
Half past seven in the evening.
Suddenly, she recalled Sylvan Cheney inviting her to dinner, but she had declined. In theory, their gathering should be starting around now.
Jasmine Yale didn’t mind, she put away her phone, and continued eating and chatting with Yukon Carbon.
"What birthday gift did your Uncle give you? I’m quite curious. I know Uncle is a well-known designer, and I’ve seen quite a few of his designs," Yukon Carbon said with a smile.
"He designed a rose ornant for himself, made of pure gold." Jasmine Yale lowered her voice on the last three words and laughed.
"Next ti I go on a business trip to Sam Francisco, I’ll take you along, and we can visit Uncle and see his work."
"Great, that’s a good idea. You definitely should take with you. I haven’t been to Sam Francisco yet."
"How’s Chris’s job going? Is he adjusting well?"
"Hmm... he’s not very social, so a doctor’s job is perfect for him. My dad says now he spends all his free ti on research every day, and he’s doing great. Since he started at the hospital, I’ve heard that many girls at the hospital are chasing him. Unfortunately, most of them are from UT, and he said he’s not really into foreign girls."
"Nowadays, many foreign girls speak Chinese too. Maybe he can consider it. If he has mixed-race kids, they’ll surely be beautiful, and your family’s genes are great," Yukon Carbon said with a smile.
Jasmine Yale laughed too, Yukon Carbon really knew how to make people happy.
The air conditioning temperature was just right, perfect for this kind of setting.
They kept chatting endlessly, covering many topics, often moving from work to travel, and from travel to fashion.
Yukon Carbon was quite knowledgeable about fashion and introduced Jasmine Yale to won’s fashion brands, so of which she hadn’t even heard of.
The air was filled with the fragrance of flowers and food, and Jasmine Yale ate with great satisfaction.
