After dinner, Jasmine Yale was delighted to have a cake made by Yukon Carbon himself.
In the starlit candlelight, she made a wish—for all kind-hearted people to be treated gently, and for her and her baby to be healthy and happy forever.
She blew out the candles, and together with Yukon Carbon, they cut the cake and shared it.
Such an evening was both tranquil and serene, with the intoxicating fragrance of the night breeze everywhere.
Outside, soone was setting off fireworks.
The colorful fireworks soared into the sky, with a “pop,” they blood like epherals, freezing in the sky, tinting the entire black night sky with bright colors.
The fireworks and lights complented each other, both with the softest colors in the world.
Jasmine Yale would eat the cake for a while and then watch the fireworks outside.
This birthday was peaceful and beautiful.
She liked this kind of life, not grandiose, but full of lasting love and warmth.
Yukon Carbon was consistently gentle, all the ti she had known him, she had never seen him lose his temper, never seen him angry. He was as gentle as the spring breeze in March, mild and warm.

She pressed to decline the call.
“Why didn’t you answer the phone?” Yukon Carbon asked.
“My boss,” Jasmine Yale said calmly, “I’m afraid it’s about extra work again. To have a pleasant birthday, I’ll not take it for now.”
“Aren’t you afraid your boss will give you a hard ti?” Yukon Carbon laughed.
“Even if my boss gives a hard ti, I don’t care, it’s my birthday today.”
“True, you shouldn’t be working overti on a day like this. After the cake, shall I take you for a walk by the lake? Anything else you want to do? I can make it happen today.”
“It’s the Qixi Festival today, Chinatown should be interesting, right? Shall we go there for a stroll?”
“Chinatown? Sure, yes, they have activities for the Qixi Festival there, I’ll take you to see.”
“It’s settled then.”

The night was alluring.
After leaving the restaurant, Yukon Carbon took her to Chinatown.

They played until past eleven o’clock, and only then did Yukon Carbon drive her ho, having bought her quite a few trinkets.
Yukon Carbon dropped her off at the entrance of her apartnt complex, bade her farewell, and then headed ho.
Jasmine Yale carried a plush bear in her arms, her eyes sparkling with a bright, clear light, making for a very cozy birthday.
The crescent moon hung like a hook.
Jasmine Yale walked slowly, stepping gently under the moonlight in her little shoes.
The bright moonlight fell on her, like draping her in a thin veil.
“One step, two steps, three steps, four steps…” Jasmine Yale lowered her head, softly counting her steps out loud as she chuckled, “Jasy, happy birthday, today was so joyful.”
“Baby, are you happy?”
The gentle lighting illuminated her as she walked into the building, slowing her pace.
“Baby, every year from now on, you’ll celebrate birthdays with mom, are you ready?”
“Do you like Uncle Carbon? Hmm… Uncle Carbon is a very good person. How good? I’ll tell you all about it later. He’s the best person mom t after coming to Cakago, and mom’s very happy to celebrate her birthday with him.”
“Once you’re born, you must thank Uncle Carbon properly; Uncle Carbon will buy you candy. See, the bear in mom’s hand is a gift from Uncle Carbon, isn’t it cute?”
Under the streetlight, even the face of the plush bear seed to be smiling.
