Jasmine Yale hugged the stuffed bear tightly, inhaling its fragrance.
She was happy to have spent another joyful birthday.
As she walked in the corridor, suddenly, there was the sound of footsteps behind her, the "tap tap" of leather shoes on the floor!
Jasmine Yale panicked a little, her heart thumping wildly—could it be a criminal?
Just as she prepared to quicken her pace, soone from behind grabbed her and forcefully pressed her against the wall!
A familiar scent ca over her, and in her panic, Jasmine Yale looked intently—
It turned out to be Sylvan Cheney.
Her heart sank, but a thin layer of sweat still seeped from her forehead.
Hugging the stuffed bear tightly, she stood in the empty corridor, quietly looking at him.
Sylvan Cheney looked terrible, he had been drinking, and a lot, reeking of alcohol, even his eyes were bloodshot and red-rimd.
Jasmine Yale’s back was pressed tightly against the cold wall, and her fingers trembled involuntarily.
Sylvan Cheney’s left hand was strong and hot, pressing down on Jasmine Yale’s shoulder, giving her no chance to move!
He stared at her, intensely stared!
Jasmine Yale’s heart fluttered with panic, why was he looking at her with such cold, ruthless eyes?
Sylvan Cheney was very close, so close... his pupils were filled with her enlarged face.
His breathing beca heavy, and his hand pressed down on her harder.
"President..." Jasmine Yale called softly, "You’re hurting my shoulder."
It’s very painful, very uncomfortable.
The corridor was hot and stuffy, and Jasmine Yale too began to breathe uncomfortably.
"Ha." Sylvan Cheney suddenly lifted the corners of his mouth, sneering, "Jasmine Yale, you’re really good at seducing, playing hard to get, huh? Being so indiscreet even as a pregnant woman, playing two n at once? Hm?"
Jasmine Yale was baffled and angry: "Where did this co from? Who did I seduce?"
"Yukon Carbon counts as one, and I count as another. And I’m wondering if you plan to seduce Kade Yuvan next, playing n round in circles, feeling accomplished, right?!" Sylvan Cheney pressed down harder on her shoulder, his whole body leaning down.
"You’re drunk." Jasmine Yale turned her head, avoiding his breath, "Mr. Carbon has been a friend for many years, and as for you, I never seduced you, don’t talk nonsense, okay?"
"What are you doing coming back in the middle of the night, did you just finish with soone?" Sylvan Cheney reached out his other hand, lifting her chin, forcing her to et his gaze.
"Sylvan Cheney! How much did you drink?!"
She saw the angry red in his eyes and slled the strong alcohol on him.
If he hadn’t drunk so much, he wouldn’t be acting this crazily.
Sylvan Cheney seed to disdain the stuffed bear in her hand, pulling it with force and throwing the bear aside!
With a "thud," the big bear rolled on the ground a couple of tis, then lay still.
"What are you doing? Why are you coming to my place drunk to act crazy? Why did you throw my bear, what gives you the right?" Jasmine Yale cried, sadly pounding his chest with one hand.
Sylvan Cheney held down her flailing hand, not giving her a chance to hit him!
"So what if I threw your bear? Huh?" Sylvan Cheney, still unsatisfied, raised his foot and kicked the stuffed bear on the floor again!
"What are you doing, Sylvan Cheney, what’s wrong with you?" Jasmine Yale struggled to break free from his grasp, her eyes fixed tearfully on the bear on the ground.
"What’s that in your hand, what is this thing?" Sylvan Cheney’s gaze turned to the bracelet on her wrist.
